I have been overwhelmed by the response that I have received on the doorstep during this campaign.

A tactical retreat is not a bad response to a surprise assault, you know. First you survive. Then you choose your own ground. Then you counterattack.

Visions
Sittin' on the doorstep
watchin' the passers-by,
the little child wonders
what she will be
before it's time to die?
In her head
she has a vision
of being a queen
or a movie star,
anything, but mean.
She's heard people say
that you can grow up
to be president someday.
But on that doorstep
no one even waves her way.
And still the visions
keep a-comin'.
She could be a dancer
or a singer
and she starts in hummin'.
Someone's heard her hummin'.
She sees 'em commin'.
'Get yourself
off of that doorstep.'
She takes the broom
and starts in sweepin'.
Deep inside
starts the weepin'
Gotta keep that
doorstep clean.
If she doesn't
how's she gonna
keep her visions?
She'll just end up
being mean.

The public's evaluation of the job George W. Bush is doing as president changed dramatically as a result of the horrific attacks of September 11 and his response in leading the country on a campaign against terrorism.

You never know how you're going to be received, after all this time. The initial response we had was just overwhelming, particularly that tour of the States.

It is essential that there should not only be a limit on campaign spending but it should be required to say where that money is spent and how it is spent. I think there has been more abuse in campaign spending, actually, than in campaign contributors.

I think the most difficult thing had been scaling the infrastructure. Trying to support the response we had received from our users and the number of people that were interested in using the software.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

On the Doorstep
Midnight long is over-past
As we loiter, and the rain falls fast,
As we loiter on your doorstep,
And the rain falls fast.
Will the watchful mother hear,
As we whisper, is your mother near,
Keeping there behind the curtain
An attentive ear?
But we have so much to say,
As we linger, ere I go my way,
In the dark upon your doorstep,
We could talk till day.
There is no one in the street,
As I hold you in my arms, my sweet,
As I kiss you on your doorstep,
As I kiss you for good-night, my sweet.

Say your prayers in a garden early, ignoring stead¬fastly the dew, the birds and the flowers, and you will come away overwhelmed by its freshness and joy; go there in order to be overwhelmed and, after a certain age, nine times out of ten nothing will happen to you.

A nice to hold
It is always nice to hold somebody with high regard
It is sign of looking positive and straight forward
It may ultimately pay you in the long run
Certain people laugh it out and take as fun
It is best way and very good principle if we adopt
It makes people to act nicely and be little prompt
It is necessary to make more friends than foes
Otherwise life can be full of miseries and woes
I was overwhelmed by a good gesture from a friend
I thought of world coming to the near end
Why was it so that there can be tremendous change?
Was there any sea change in my attitude or age?
“Why do you hold me in high esteem and praise?
Make me to feel great with status highly raised
I am overwhelmed by your noble gesture
As you always wished me for bright future” I parried at friend
I was no where near respectable mark or level
You encouraged me to work hard and excel
Filled with high spirit, motivation and enthusiasm
I am Inspired to rise beyond certain level and “ism” friend replied
I was confined to zero energy and confined
You infused me with optimism and refined
How to express my gratitude and acknowledge?
I am novice and have no such knowledge
Will you pardon me for being so negative?
Lukewarm to response and not so sensitive
I must learn quite a lot from you and oblige
I feel shy to open up but have nothing to hide.. I was overwhelmed
Is it not the tendency of human being to deceive?
No return of thanks when applauses received
We might have scaled new height and glory
Still we may forget the past as simple story
If we learn to repay good gesture with gratitude
People will learn to respect with different attitude
This is what is expected from new generation
They should rise above all without any expectation
It may look as simple form of advice
It should not be considered as mechanical device
Time may change but not the essence and spirit
You may all the time need oil for lamps to lit
We shall not last to see it either
Storm may come and soon to wither
Life has to stabilize and prove its best
it must stand firm to the rigid test
I find no other reason to withdraw or not to follow
Very sensible person must adhere to and allow
It may pave the way for cordial relation
It is the time for motivation and elation

Underwhelmed
Keep expecting so much
Seeing little in return
Desperate for the deeper moments
Begin to see them slowly burning down
I see them slowly burning down
Needing meaning in this
Heavy day I seem to bear
Everything comes into question
Lessons learned just seem to tear apart
They seem to tear apart
And I am underwhelmed again
Wanting more than you are giving
Underwhelmed again
Is there more that I am seeing
You promised me so much when
We began to walk this way
You said we'd change the world together
But now it seems we're nowhere further on
It seems we're nowhere further on
There must be more
Much more than this
Please show me more
At the lowest low now
Thinking I should can it all
Needing breakthrough from the nothing
But remembering the call
Where it really started
Hearing fresh your voice again
Something calling me to press on
Seeing you again
I'm bowing down
I'm bowing down
And I am overwhelmed again
I hear your voice still calling for me
Overwhelmed again
Remembering all you've made for me
Overwhelmed again
Not deserving all you're giving
Overwhelmed again
Another chance at truly living

The Poet Overwhelmed
THE POET OVERWHELMED
The poet overwhelmed
By the momentary beauty of the world –
Stops -
And writes his little lines
In the Morning Light.

Overwhelmed By My Own Inner Feeling
OVERWHELMED BY MY OWN INNER FEELING
Overwhelmed by my own inner feeling
The poems come to me today-
They say:
“Life is so much more
than we will ever say or know’
They say,
“Beauty is greater than any song I have”
They say,
“Walk humbly with God.
You too are like a wind
Which though it waken the world for a moment
Will pass by as if it never was.”

Nowhere Under The Sun To Be Seen
If to win means that much to anyone,
Feeling a need to campaign for popularity...
Instead of quality or integrity of a performance,
Delivered.
Then that one seeking to be praised,
Will eventually witness the day...
A deserved negative attention is received.
To leave those deeds claimed to have been done,
Nowhere under the Sun to be seen by anyone...
Hoping to uncover either proof or evidence,
To merit the giving of apologies...
And a wished forgiveness for a misunderstanding.
