It is a drastic mistake to eliminate the provisions that have to do with the protection of habitat for endangered species. It is my opinion that the Endangered Species Act is 99 percent about protecting critical habitat.

What is a fish without a river? What is a bird without a tree to nest in? What is an Endangered Species Act without any enforcement mechanism to ensure their habitat is protected? It is nothing.

Headlines (demo 1)
we call ourselves the crown of creation
i wonder what does it mean
we're not the owners of the moon and the earth
it's like a roundabout and it goes round and round for free
we've made some gruesome inventions
yet we're mastered by those systems
we're endangered danger, we're running out of fashion
if we don't care for responsibility, hey-hey
we're endangered danger, we're endangered danger,
we're the headlines today but all that we say is
we're endangered danger,
eric says that we're a lonely species
that's why we're playing the fools
but once we'll enter the aquarian age
i sometimes catch him floating in his swimming-pool, he says
if we'd tune in to our brighter sides
we'd feel like jesus on the waters
cause we're sailors not soldiers so much more for this show
than a guest-appearance in the universe, here we go
we're endangered danger, we're endangered danger,
we're the headlines today but all that we say is
we're endangered danger

Take the crocodile, for example, my favorite animal. There are 23 species. Seventeen of those species are rare or endangered. They're on the way out, no matter what anyone does or says, you know.

Is Caste As Bad?
Is caste as bad to destroy?
Don’t we guard endangered species?
Isn’t caste, like species, preserves
Characters and skills in its beings?

Guardians
(God bestowed intelligence to save not destroy)
We are guardians of our planet
Playing the role of God
Selecting which species survive
Polluting the atmosphere
Burning forests and laying waste
Speeding ever faster global warming.
We factory farm to stock our larders
Hunting endangered species to extinction
Breeding our population out of control
Insisting on culling other species
But Man is the only creature
Who wages war and kills for pleasure.

Artist Nancy Waller
I remember hearing a voice,
“go down this road”, was the first choice.
The road 42nd West, in south Minneapolis.
Great visual artist I would meet,
She drew endangered species detailed and neat.
Nancy Waller was her name,
She published booklets on endangered species
to help bring about awareness and change.
Melodie my doll, loved her most of all.
She went to her see her at the museum,
took photos with her that where very pleasing.
Melodie was happy for Nancy designed,
coloring books of Melodie just cute and fine.
Nancy got my books off to a great start,
she inspired me and has a pure heart.
Thank you Nancy for inspiration and passion too,
you’re a great artist, through and through.

We wonder why we have got the Freemen or the militants. We wonder why we have got unrest in this country. It is because our government, in fact, has got out of hand and out of line, with the Endangered Species Act.

I Think Your Natural Habitat Is Bed
I think your natural habitat is bed.
Although you do so nicely,
in your kitchen, baking bread,
and when at the dining table,
can disappear the cheapest red,
still, I think your natural habitat is bed.
You paint truly lovely pictures,
in all the colours, blue to red,
write some you beaut bonzer verses,
as swell a modest feller's head,
but you're at your most creative
when you're cavorting with clothes shed.
So I think your natural habitat is bed.
You're really such a lot of fun
at things much better left unsaid.
But should we laugh the way we do?
Or should we groan some more instead?
Perhaps neighbours might be thinking
that we ain't really too well bred?
But you're such a lovely lady
and I'm so very easy led
and I think your natural habitat is bed.

Wishful Thinking
[Chorus]
[Fat Joe] What would you do if you could do the unbelievable
[Kool G Rap] Once you rule the world every girl will want to be with you
[Big Pun] First I get the money then I get the power
[B-Real] B-Real of the hill eliminate the guitars
[Verse 1: B-Real]
Thinkin' of takin' a plane
to take a flight out to the red light
and smuggle 10 pounds of weed
make it home tonight
be the number 1 smuggler in the area
got enough weed to fill up and air craft carrier

Save The Tiger
As a child when I went to the circus,
Though I loved the clowns and the acrobats,
I hated when the ringmaster made the animals act
And do unnatural things,
To tickle human beings.
As the tiger came out of the cage,
You could see he was in rage.
On a visit to the zoo,
Seeing the tiger roam,
I often wondered,
How does it feel
To be uprooted from your natural habitat.
The frustration was writ large on the face of the royal cat.
On growing up, and on a visit to
A family friend’s farm house,
I used to squirm to see walls decorated with tiger skins
And the conversation full of anecdotes of the kill.
I often wonder
Is that why it’s becoming extinct.
We really had no right to kill
For pleasure or greed,
Every creature has a place in the scheme of things
It’s sad today the tiger tops the list of endangered species.
I still remember the poem by Blake,
Which I read in the seventh grade.
The day is not far when those famous stripes
Will just adorn the rags of designer lines.
