Sonnet: On Knowledge
Knowledge is one thing priceless, people want;
Knowledge is something gained by labor long;
Knowledge is infinite; master, you-can't;
Knowledge is changeable, much like a song.
Knowledge is deeper than the oceans deep;
Knowledge is larger than the Universe;
Knowledge is barely in life, just a peep;
Knowledge if badly used becomes God's curse.
Knowledge remains undiminished, tho' you- share;
Knowledge gives man, a civilised outlook;
Knowledge if improper, you ought to pare;
Knowledge is gained from Nature and by book.
Knowledge can make a man a wiser one;
Knowledge gives Wisdom in the longer run.

Never lose sight of this important truth, that no one can be truly great until he has gained a knowledge of himself, a knowledge which can only be acquired by occasional retirement.

The trouble is it's very difficult to pin-point the most important thing because Aids affects everyone in different levels of society, differently and you have to respond to it differently.

More important than talent, strength, or knowledge is the ability to laugh at yourself and enjoy the pursuit of your dreams.
Well, if storytelling is important, then your narrative ability, or your ability to put into words or use what someone else has put into words effectively, is important too.

It is impossible to make people understand their ignorance, for it requires knowledge to perceive it; and, therefore, he that can perceive it hath it not.

Differently
Wish you told me by and by,
That my life would come to this,
That I'd have to find a way
to let things go,
That my friends would turn to foes,
And my love would come to blows,
Then I would have done some things
differently.
Differently...
I would ask you out every night.
Differently...
And I would make you feel so good.
Differently...
And appreciate the things that
you bring to me, babe.
Differently...
Oh yes I would, oh yeah.
Yeah, I know you tried and tried,
But your signal I just missed,
When you said my little girl
would soon be gone,
Yes I didn't hear you then,
And it might be too late now,
That's another thing I'd do
differently.
Differently...
Like trying to make you feel
loved every day.
Differently...
And saying little things to
let you know how I feel.
Differently...
Yes I can hear your young
voice calling me, babe.
Differently...
Oh yes I can.
When I 'm away I call you up,
And you don't seem to miss me as much,
But I know our love
is still there in your heart,
Just differently.
Differently...
Oh yes, I can hear your young
voice calling me, babe.
Differently...
Oh yes I can.
Differently...
I'd appreciate the things that you
bring to me babe, yes I would.
Differently...
Oh come on back to me babe,
bring your love back to me.
Differently...
Oh yeah I need your love,
I need your love.
Differently...
Yes I can tell you babe,
I need your love.
Differently...
Today is a brand new day, yes it is.
Differently...
Got to get your love back, babe,
come on now bring it back to me.
Differently...
Turn it around babe, turn it
around and bring it back.
Differently...
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, got to get
your love back, come on babe.
Differently...
Yeah I can hear your young
voice calling me babe.
Differently...
Come on back to me, come on back,
yeah yeah, turn it around.
Differently...
Oh yes I can, yes I can.
Differently.

Who You Are
Who you are is equivalent to the knowledge
that you obtain throughout your life
and the passion you have for using and
sharing that knowledge with other people.
It is with this knowledge
that we create our own future
and the future for those to come.
I strongly believe that every bit of knowledge I have gained
has been connected to everything I have done,
everyone I have known, and all I will do in my life.

Give Me The Taste,
give me the taste,
give me the taste,
the joy of being with you,
you made me see beauty of you,
Iam not under attack anymore,
I loved that face,
I can see that great taste,
give me love,
more love than these,
alive and living,
we will survive,
we will live and never die,
I can watch them seeing me,
This is the face of a King,
Within me is the living man,
Man that is living,
My human will is not to attack,
But to love the human ability,
Make me perceive the joy of living,
Do not make me be under attack,
Make me see the joy of us loving one another,
By human conscience,
It is my ability to see the fear dyeing,
We are all the lovers of the higher being,
Perceive the joy of living,
That by the grace we are never willing to die,
Time is moving so fast,
All our abilities is to love one another,
All our abilities is to perceive the glorious throne.

Keep Searching
In the lust for knowledge,
I have lost myself within.
I have forgotten who I was
and what a family was for.
I drifted into a world
not letting anyone else in.
Now I want to break free,
but I have forgotten whom I was
and the knowledge that I had gained
could not help me now.
As I ventured back to reality
where no one knows me anymore.
For years, I lived within
the world of my own choosing
and lost the essence of being me.
Now I search for things that I left behind,
things that are not there anymore.
They have disappeared
like the whispers in time.
I am left abandoned
and my knowledge cannot help me.
Everything I strived for
doesn’t mean much anymore.
I have lost the most important things
that makes a life survive.
Humbly I reach out,
but sadly, there is no one there.
I will keep searching for it
and see what tomorrow brings.

With All That Is Given
To be released from a bondage,
With an ability to 'see'...
Is a blessing The Creator gives,
That frees one's mind to perceive...
Unlimited possibilities.
There's not a species of life,
Like that of another.
And even with bestowed similarities...
Each has its uniqueness,
With a specific identity.
And it seems that human beings,
With 'our' intelligence...
Subject ourselves,
To a stagnating ignorance.
And conform we do to deceptions too!
To be released from a bondage,
With an ability to 'see'...
Is a blessing The Creator gives,
That frees one's mind to perceive...
Unlimited possibilities.
And 'some' with all that is given...
Get stuck in a mindset,
That corrupts the progess of a process...
With a belief they can make it stay,
As if mankind has the power to be obeyed.

Initiation for Friend Thadd
I am an anthropologist.
The tribe I’m studying insist
they are prepared to accept me
into their closed community.
But first I must be purified.
So I am stripped to my bare hide.
Then thrust into the steaming heat
of the sweat lodge and made to eat.
Some buttons from a cactus plant
The shaman wails a plaintive chant.
I soon grow used to nudity
It seems somehow to set me free.
From the mind set that I know
how easily I can let go.
I seem to know instinctively
I’m subject to authority
Some higher power judging me
to see if I am fit to be.
Entrusted with their sacred lore
Which will change me for evermore.
I see strange visions in the steam
Am I awake or do I dream
I am entranced by what I see
and I embrace it eagerly.
I’m not the man I used to be.
Therefore it follows logically
that I will see things differently
perhaps with renewed clarity.
It seems that I have passed the test
The shaman tells me I must rest.
I fall into a dreamless sleep
which lets new knowledge slowly seep
deep into my subconscious mind
my old beliefs are left behind.
Old knowledge lost, new knowledge gained
It can’t be easily explained.
So that is why I do not try.
I know I could not satisfy
your raging curiosity.
I am oath bound to secrecy.
I’m still an anthropologist
but those deep feelings still persist
I gained from my experience
although I have no evidence
to show that I have really changed.
My thinking process re-arranged
I know I m connected to
all living things and so are you.
The difference being you don’t know
because you did not undergo
initation as I did
until you do some things are hid.

Get that right, then- if you get the quality right, then the marketability or whatever; your ability to sell videos or your ability to earn money or whatever, will follow naturally. But try to be creatively lead rather than market lead. And that's important to me.

The One Thing About Knowing
The one thing about knowing,
Is its ability not to be undone.
Once something is known,
An acknowledgement of it...
To others become easily shown.
And that knowledge shown,
May come to show others despising it.
Depending on who sees what one has,
As a lasting benefit.
Since those who are not afraid of knowledge,
Feel freer to leave behind their ignorance.
The one thing about knowing,
Whether or not it is documented...
Is its ability not to be undone.
Once something is known,
An acknowledgement of it...
To others become easily shown.
And few are found to run away,
From its presence or existence.

Ten-year-old boys move differently than middle-aged women, who move differently than athletic guys, who move differently than government bureaucrats.

We humans look rather different from a tree. Without a doubt we perceive the world differently than a tree does. But down deep, at the molecular heart of life, the trees and we are essentially identical.
