And thus it was that I started to wonder why Robert Burns is so important to us. We have other poets, and other writers, and other heroes, yet we do not afford them the veneration that we afford to Robert Burns.

Love Burns
See what you do
You make me act so crazy
I'm overcome, I know
Stealin' my own show
For your love
And who am I now, Clown or Casanova
I'm never sure with you
And what more can I do
For your love burns
Warmer than you know
When love burns,
Never let it go away
And where do we go
Find a road to lead us
I'm searching in your eyes
A world beyond the skies
For your love burns
Brighter than you know
When love burns,
Never let it go away
Love burns
Brighter than you know
Oh, love burns
Never let it go away
Love burns when the spirit is wounded
Cut deep by the sound of rejection
Love burns in the soul of the seeker
Blue shadows in every direction
Love burns when the heart is uncovered
In the rage of the coldly storm
Love burns
Through the night and the morning
Till the frozen heart is warm
Love burns
Love burns
Love burns
Love burns

On Reading Poems And Songs Of Burns
The poems and songs of Robert Burns are still living
And though his body died more than two hundred years ago
His spirit and his soul will live forever
You will find them where the Afton Waters flow.
He was the pride of Scotland Robert Burns
The greatest of his clan and of his race
And along with Walter Scott he ranks as his Country's greatest
And in literature he commands the highest place.
'For Auld Lang Syne' will surely live forever
As Robert Burns gift to the New Year
When you attend a new year celebration
More likely than not Lang Syne you will hear.
His great poems To a Mouse and To a Mountain Daisy
His haunting ballad to his Red Red Rose
The great poet living in his songs and verses
And the legend that grew with him grows and grows.
You see the music in the poems of Burns
He was more than a peasant man of rhyme
He was a humanitarian and a great poet
The lesser bards have faded out in time.
He died in poverty but he is famous
His songs and verses known and sung World-wide
The fame of Burns will live on forever
He brought to Scotland patriotic pride.
From Alloway In Ayrshire Robert Burns
His legacy the marvellous gift of song
The Scottish his birthday and birthplace honour
But to all peoples his verses belong.

North Atlantic Drift
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Its a cultural shift its the North Atlantic Drift
Americana and a rule Britannia
And the moon yes we own that to
And where the Euphrates meets the other rivers
Is now the home of the devil and the liar
And the pyre we plan to make
Is just the drift leaving its wake, home
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
And the films you want to watch
And the films you want to make
And the kids like lost angels
Dressed in black sensations
And the shift won? shake
And the drift won? brake
With billions of Diamonds growing like olives
And the drift holds the coffers
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns
Meanwhile Rome burns

We Are The Same...
gas rices up,
fuel prices up,
grocery prices up,
heating prices up...
and the poor man's dollar
is still a dollar!
cant afford sickness,
cant afford hospitals,
cant afford shelter,
cant afford, cant afford.
it's time to band together
in small communities,
and be neighbors again.
we cannot rely on the government,
on churches, on the elite...
we have each other,
and that is all!
forget about differences.
skin color, religion, politics...
let it go.
we are the same!
same needs, same desires,
same prayers, same love...
red blooded, dirty, stinking
human beings...
human beings in need
of each other!

Just Plain Queer!
Our images are reflected in reverse
in the mirror. Suppose our words
were too!
My name is Trebor Ragde Snrub.
No name could ere be queerer.
Naw, It’s really Robert Edgar Burns,
For I was looking in yon mirror!
If you think I speak with a forked tongue,
You’re wrong for goodness sake.
I’m not a leaping lizard.
And my tongue is just a rake.
I listened out front
With my ear to the door.
I heard not a voice,
Then I awoke with a snore!
While also sleep walking
I peed in a hutch.
No wonder that thing
Has been smelling so much!
Whether looking in my mirror,
Or raking with my tongue,
If I’m asked where is Trebor
Ragde Snrub, I always yell,
“In the Mirror I am the one! ”

Dr. Robert
Ring my friend I said you'd call Dr. Robert,
Day or night he'll be there anytime at all Dr. Robert.
Dr. Robert, your a new and better man,
He helps you to understand,
He does everything he can, Dr. Robert.
If your down he'll pick you up Dr. Robert,
Take a drink from his special cup Dr. Robert
Dr. Robert, he's a man you must believe,
Helping everyone in need,
No one can succeed like Dr. Robert
Well, well, well your feeling fine,
Well, well, well, he'll make you Dr. Robert
My friend works for the national health Dr. Robert,
Don't take money to see yourself with Dr. Robert
Dr. Robert, your a new and better man,
He helps you to understand,
He does everything he can Dr. Robert
Well, well, well, your feeling fine,
Well, well, well, he'll make you Dr. Robert

Choices!
Handmade Swiss watch may show the same time,
As the mass produced watches holding cheap chips,
But the former may run to last for generations,
The latter may collapse, but we will buy the next one.
Few people may have dollars to pay the Swiss artisans,
Many people have coins to support the cheap productions,
The pleasure of having something is invented and marketed,
When affordability is expanded, the satisfaction is unmatched.
When we can't afford the expensive, we can go for the cheap,
When we can't afford the original, we can go fo the generic,
When we can't afford a healthy life style, we can be sick,
When we can't afford a good leader, we can go for the tactful.
