Who can I trust? You have to invest in somebody and chances are you're probably going to invest in somebody who's going to deceive you. I've been conned a couple of times, but now I'm a little more savvy.

Investments
Who is paying the price for the debt we rack up?
We all do.
Time is the currency of life.
Invest your time in what you want to grow.
When you invest money, you make more money.
If you invest in war, then you will have many battles.
If you invest in hatred, then hatred shall multiply.
If you invest in love then love will grow.
Every investment is a risk
If you do not risk, then you do not see your investment grow.
Nobody is broke,
But we are all broken.
You can only spend each second once.
Once it is all spent, we leave our inheritance to our children.
What do I want to leave to my children?
For the sake of themselves and their children?
If we invest in love,
We invest in our children.
We are responsible for our own bank accounts,
But also for theirs.
They will learn how to invest from us.
Love is the greatest risk.
But it offers the greatest of rewards.

Spend Life and Wealth
It is not certain if I go to heaven.
Why must I invest if gain is not certain?
I don’t want to die; I don’t want to invest.
Let me spend my life and wealth.

I'm very, very bullish about our prospects, and as I tell our board, as I tell our employees, this is the time to invest. There's so much opportunity. Let's just invest in that opportunity, and really get after it.

The way we're really going to grow the economy is to invest in people, to invest in innovation, to have the federal government put money in the kind of research that will create the new high-technology, biotechnology industries that will create the millions of new jobs.

If you look to lead, invest at least 40% of your time managing yourself - your ethics, character, principles, purpose, motivation, and conduct. Invest at least 30% managing those with authority over you, and 15% managing your peers.
Single Mother
How much can I sell?
How less can she spend?
And how much more can we invest?
Invest to cater for little Johnny and I
Fifteen months ago he fled
That stupid, irresponsible, bastard!
With cunning words he deceived me
My senses in total eclipse to his feign affections
Mother and friends took counsel with me
In love with him, all hated I saw
And in my mid teen year
I bore a child in absolute pain
To all single mothers

Hands of Time
Time is my drug, my addiction.
Tick toc, tick toc, tick toc.
I am running out, I panic!
I steal some from another.
Not knowing how much they have,
But still trying to add to my own lot.
There is never enough.
Always wanting more.
Waste mine, utilize another's.
Yet mine is more valuable?
At least that's what I think.
But really, I don't think.
I am just another thief.
Until it is another that steals mine from me.
I then realize the value of the currency.
If I share it, it cannot be stolen from me.
My investment grows.
As I invest mine in another,
Many begin to invest in me.
For now, it is no longer an addiction.
It is now my conviction.
I have let my hands become,
The hands of time.

There isn't a dearth of it, but I will confess that it's harder for me to find songs on which I'm willing to invest anything from ten to fifteen hours writing an arrangement than it was in times past.
In these difficult financial times for so many of our districts, as our local leaders strive to balance their budgets by cutting services, we would be irresponsible not to invest in the arts.

This War
You've got the mouth of a she wolf
Inside the mask of an innocent lamb
You say your heart is all compassion
But there's just a flat line on your cardiogram
Yet you always made a profit baby
If it was a famine or a feast
Yes, I'm the soul of indiscretion,
I was cursed with x-ray vision,
I could see right through all the lies you told,
When you smiled for the television
And you can see the coming battle
You pray the drums will never cease
And you may win this war that's coming
But would you tolerate the peace?
Investing in munitions
And those little cotton flags
Invest in wooden caskets
In guns and body bags, guns and body bags
Your daddy was a businessman
And it always made good sense
You know the war can make you rich my friend
In dollars, pounds and cents
In the temple that was Mammon's
You were ordained the parish priest
Yes you may win this coming battle
But could you tolerate the peace?
Invest in deadly weapons
And those little cotton flags
Invest in wooden caskets
In guns and body bags
You're invested in oppression
Investing in corruption
Invest in every tyranny
And the whole world's destruction
I imagine there's a future
When all the earthly wars are over
You may find yourself just standing there
On the white cliffs of Dover
You may ask, what does it profit a man
To gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?
Is that your body you see on the rocks below
As the tide begins to roll?
And you invested in this prison
From which you never got released
You may have won this war we're fighting
But would you tolerate the peace?
There's

The Stone Age
Widowhood is not a curse but bliss.
Divorce is not a shame but a boom.
Flirting is not a sin but a fun.
Now women are with their income.
Wife is no more a trust for husband
To invest his wealth in with faith.
If his child is of his, he is curious.
We return to stone age

I Have Faith In Love
For a while I didn't believe in anything
Until I was forced to see the world anew
The I found all my faith stored beneath the sink
And I began to believe in you
I can see some reason now
I can find some sense in the life I lead
When I'm looking at your smile
I realize exactly why I breathe
Now I don't invest much time in religious s**t
And I don't just give out my trust
But I do believe in the power of love
And I do believe in us

Just Be Good (Bushman Dub)
Just be good to each other...yeah
Donate some peace of mind
Invest in one another...yeah
A love of all mankind
Just be good to each other...yeah
You know we don't get long
It takes so much to recover...yeah
And we can't get it wrong
I'm the meanest, toughest, baddest boy in town
I'm a thief, a liar, one who hunts you down
The final word in justice, and i'll fill you full of hate
So down upon my knees, I am about
To seal you fate
If we're good to each other...yeah
If we just take the time
Treat all men as your brother...yeah
Everything will be fine
When we're good to each other...yeah
You can feel in your heart
The love that all lovers...yeah
When they're apart
I'm the biggest, richest, righteous and strong
Devil plays the tune, i'll make you sing my song
Finger on the button and my eyes are on the prize
In case you had forgotten, I'm a master of disguise
So be good to each other...yeah
And I trust you will find
On the road to discover...yeah
That true love is blind
A reformer coke addict, puppet on a string
My papa gives me credit, so I'm living like a king
Vengence will be mine, I will collect my dues
I'm a walking Armageddon so the world can
Sing the blues
Just be good to each other...yeah
Donate some peace of mind
Invest in one another...yeah
A love of all mankind
So be good to each other...yeah
And I trust you will find
On the road to discover...yeah
That true love is blind
Yeah

Dangerous Times
I dont know if its in my mind
Watching all the shadows behind me
Cause I could get hurt
Or maybe this time
The cloud has got a silver lining
And if Im scared, I got a right to be
I know, you could wound me critically
Chorus:
These are dangerous times
And if I take some chances
Put my heart on the line
What would you do to me
If I give myself up
To these circumstances
In these dangerous times
Would you keep me safely
Over the hill, theres an army of fools
Waiting for their hearts to be broken
How do I know
If Im gonna explode
When I come out in the open
cause even lovers can turn into enemies
I dont wanna be a casualty
These are dangerous times
And if I take some chances
Put my heart on the line
What would you do to me
If I give myself up
To these circumstances
In these dangerous times
Would you keep me
Would you keep me
Baby would you keep me safely tonight
Can I trust you with all of my affections?
Can I trust you to be on my side?
In these dangerous times
Chorus x 2

A Poem Loitering On An Unfamiliar Landscape!
At times
Even the familiar landscape
Appears unfamiliar
It appears as one with no horizon
Where do i invest my hope?
Surrounded by unfamiliarity
I can look to none
To ease this throb
That resonates in the veins
It even devastates each nerve
Nay, each capillary
In utter disregard!
