Television Man
Im looking and Im dreaming for the first time
Im inside and Im outside at the same time
And everything is real
Do I like the way I feel?
When the world crashes in into my living room
Television man made me what I am
People like to put the television down
But we are just good friends
(Im a) television man
I knew a girl, she was a macho man
But its alright, I wasnt fooled for long
This is the place for me
Im the king, and youre the queen
Chorus
Take a walk in the beautiful garden
Everyone would like to say hello
It doesnt matter what you say
Come and take us away
The world crashes in, into my living room
The world crashes in, into my living room
The world crashes in, into my living room
The world crashes in, into my living room
And we are still good friends...(television man)
Im watching everything...(television man)
Television man...(television man)
Im watching everything...(television man)
Television man...and Im gonna say
We are still good friends...and Im trying to be
Watchin everything...and I gotta say
We are still good friends...you know the way it is
Television man...Ive got what you need
We are still good friends...i know the way you are
Television man...i know what youre tryin to be
Watchin everything...and I gotta say
Thats how the story ends.

Not a Good Place to Die
Not a Good Place to Die
Not a good place to die,
Airless room.
Blank walls.
Not a good place to die,
Here death hovers.
A disinfectant smell.
Not a good place to die,
Hid away from all.
Arid stark.
Not a good place to die,
No cool breeze.
Warm sun on face.
Not a good place to die,
Alone and scared.
Cold dark.
Not a good place to die
But die he did.
Non mourned.

Good Life
The good life, 1 day thats what Ill be livin
Fantasy never hurt nobody, whatever chills the illin
When the everyday gets on your last 1, give it up and go
2 the place in everyones future, the good life - 1 day well know
(good life)
Everyday after school, u know where 2 find this brother
Uptown at every movie show, outta my life 2 another
That was the only thing that I wanted 2 do, that was my drug of choice
Left all the funny smellin cigarettes 2 the american boys
La dolce vita was the knob that turned me on
Marcello mastroianni italian mac comin on strong
He had all the honies, the kind from the magazines
Small waist, big - right!... biggest ones uve ever seen
The good life (good life), 1 day thats what Ill be livin
Fantasy never hurt nobody, whatever chills the illin
When the everyday gets on your last 1, give it up and go
2 the place in everyones future, the good life - 1 day well know
1 day well know
(good life)
(good life)
Mama worked all night, went 2 school by day
Wanted 2 get her master degree so she could make a better way
Set examples 4 her babies that well never forget
Thats where I guess my spirit comes from, eternally never met
Oh, the good life (good life), 1 day thats what Ill be livin
Fantasy never hurt nobody, whatever chills the illin (ooh, good life)
When the everyday gets on your last 1, give it up and go
2 the place in everyones future, (the good life)
The good life - 1 day well know
(good life)
Good life
Good life
Good life (good life)
Hey, hey, hey!
Peace 2 the mother that knows
That the babies are the key 2 the world, key 2 the world
The battles of the future will be won
By those who teach those baby boys and girls
This is our plea 2 the brothers
Who are tired of the barely gettin by, instead u should try
2 see your future map out your steps
And make sure no 1 dies
The good life (good), 1 day thats what Ill be livin
Fantasy never hurt nobody, whatever chills the illin
(1 drop of blood aint worth forsaking your dreams)
When the everyday gets on your last 1, give it up and go
(music, sports, fashion, whatever)
2 the place in everyones future, the good life - 1 day well know
(consolidate, think ahead, and cream, cream)
The good life (good life), 1 day thats what Ill be livin
Fantasy never hurt nobody, whatever chills the illin (hey yeah, good life)
When the everyday gets on your last 1, give it up and go (good life, oh)

Tryin 2 lead the good life (1 day well know)
Oh yeah, oh lord

Good Day
The sky is blue but there are clouds in my head,
With big decisions looming ahead.
The sun is out but the room is so grey,
So much confusion headed my way.
Get positive, try to be gay.
News of the world, tea and biscuits in bed.
The headlines said that diana is dead.
She couldnt act much but she put on a show.
She always smiled even when she felt low.
I used to fancy her a long time ago.
So today has got to be a good day,
Today is gonna be a good day,
Today is gonna be a good day,
Good day, good day, good day.
Holes in my socks and I cant find my shoes.
Its no surprise that Im singing the blues.
So many holes in my life still to mend,
And someone just said that the worlds gonna end.
So today better be a good day,
Today is gonna be a good day,
Today has got to be a good day,
Good day, good day, good day, good day.
If we blow away the past with a bloody great blast,
Make it fast, make it fast.
So have a good day today because it could be your last,
Make it last, make it last.
Will it light up the sky?
Will it blot out the sun?
Well weve waited this long,
So it better be a good one.
Good day, good day, good day.
Yeah, its gonna be a good day.
Hey baby, if you come back home itll be a good day today.
They could drop a small atom bomb on the city today,
But if you walk through that door honey, you know itll be a good day.
And now survival is my only aim.
I call friends and see if any remain.
Who was that girl who used to be my flame?
Id call her if I could remember her name.
So today is gonna be a good day,
Today has got to be a good day,
Today is gonna be a good day,
Good day, good day, good day, good day.
Hey diana, Ive really got to learn to take a tip from you,
Put on my makeup and try to make the world take notice of you.
Yeah, its gonna be good day today.
Good day, gonna be a good day.

She never tells a good lie
She knows just when to let me be
She always knows when Im too high

As Good As You've Been To This World
Janis at woodstock
Live your loving life,
Live it all the best you can.
If you pay no attention, darling
To what you might ever hear from your man,
I think you're just like a servant
And try to keep it all to yourself.
Don't you know it makes the world go round,
You gotta go and honey share the world.
Come on, come on, come on!
As good as you've been to this world
So good i wanna be right back to you.
As good as you've been now.
As good as you've been to this whole wide world,
So good i wanna be.
As good as you've been now, yeah,
As good as you've been to this whole wide world,
As good as you've been, babe,
So good i wanna be here.
Ain't no use in being faithful,
I see you lookin' at the sky.
I know what's in it make you happy there,
But it only make you cry.
I think you got good intentions,
They don't manage to show through.
Whatever you give to the world outside,
I wanna give it right back to you, yeah!
Come on, come on, come on!
So you meet somebody on the street,
You like to treat him mighty fine.
Or you meet him on the street
And you give him a real hard time.
It's gonna come on home babe,
I said it's gonna come right back home to you.
It's gonna visit you now.
Oh!!!
Good as you've been to this whole wide world,
As good as you've been, babe,
So good i wanna be here.
Good as you've been to this whole wide world,
As good as you've been, babe,
So good i wanna be here.
Alright, the way you love your mother,
The way you love your sister, your brother,
The way you love your aunt, your uncle,
Anybody now, everybody now.
Good as you've been babe, come on!
Good as you've been babe, alright!
Good as you've been babe, come on!
Good as you've been babe, alright!
Good as you've been babe, hey!
Good as you've been babe!
'cause i'm just gonna give it, babe!
And i'm just gonna make you want it, babe.
And i'm just gonna show you now.
Hey, good as you been babe, alright.
Hey hey, alright,
Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Oh yeah, oh yeah!
Oh yeah!
Oh!
Alright!
Alright, thank you. that was a tune by nick gravenites, a very good songwriter, called as good as you've been to this world (that's how good i'm gonna be to you), so you better make it good. ok.

One of the sad things about contemporary journalism is that it actually matters very little. The world now is almost inured to the power of journalism. The best journalism would manage to outrage people. And people are less and less inclined to outrage.

A Wonderful Woman
A good talk is so up lifting
Taking one away from drifting
No thinking of if-ing
Just a good talk
One that make you want to walk
But not stalk...
One that take you back in years
Remembering your young tears and fears.
The laughter of childhood...
Damn! a good talk is so good.
Filling your heart with warmth
Putting dreams out of place...
Adding to your world lace...
And not haste.
A good talk and the world stands still...
What a thrill...
taking away ones ills...
Forgetting about ones pills...
Damn! what a good talk will do for you.
Opening up things within...
That you re-live again...
That good talk is with a woman.
A woman you enjoy...
A good talk taking from toy of being a boy.
The things a good woman is capable of...
Without making love.
So I thank the good LORD above...
For speech...
And what a good woman can teach.
All in a good talk...
A conversation without a face...
But on the over side woman.
A woman with grace.

Its Good To Be King
Its good to be king, if just for a while
To be there in velvet, yeah, to give em a smile
Its good to get high, and never come down
Its good to be king of your own little town
Yeah the world would swing if I were king
Can I help it if I still dream time to time
Its good to be king and have your own way
Get a feeling of peace at the end of the day
And when your bulldog barks and your canary sings
Youre out there with winners, its good to be king
Yeah, Ill be king when dogs have wings
Can I help it if I still dream time to time
Its good to be king and have your own world
It helps to make friends, its good to meet girls
A sweet little queen, who cant run away
Its good to be king, whatever it pays
Excuse me if I have some place in my mind
Where I go time to time

Tv Is King
All right! yeah!
I wish I was a man with a mechanical heart
Id conquer all my enemies alone
Id tear the guys apart
Then scatter the pieces
I wish I was the man in the sound proof booth
I wish I had a chance to stump the band
Or maybe tell the truth
And maybe I could win a color television
I really love my television
I love to sit by television
Cant live without my television
Tv is king
Youre my everything
I wish I had the girl with the bouncy hair
Wed ride off in a brand new car
Or fly a plane somewhere
Like probably jamaica
Ill brush my teeth, shampoo my hair,
And shave my face
Apply the necessary aerosol
In the appropriate place
And well spend the night together
Watching television
I cant turn off my television
Dont really know why television
I understand my television
Youve got your works in a drawer
And your colors on track
You have to brave the way
But you always come back
You make a hundred changes
But youre always the same
You make me so excited
And you make me so lame
Youre just a cute ball of gas
And a box full of tin
But you show me your junk
And I want to jump in
Oh if only your chassis
Was covered with skin
cause tv youre my everything

I Am Not Good Enough
I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH
I am not good enough.
I will never be good enough.
I will die not having been good enough,
And the world will go on
Without my name
My memory
My immortality
My place among mankind’s true creators.
I have not been good enough
I will never be good enough
I have had enough evidence
And lived long enough
To know this.
Why then can I not be wise
And accept it?
Why must I try to the end
To be what I will never be?
God Who has given me so much
Has not given me this
I should simply accept it..
But I do not and cannot…
So I write this.

Just Don't Need This
Album: Angels With Dirty Faces (2002)
Look across the room
I see some guy
Steaming over me
He's smirking sleazy
Probably be older than daddy
Since you smiled
My expression has changed
Come any closer
Things will be constrained
I walk pass looking good
Doesn't give you the right
To put that hand where you think that you should
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
I don't want any man to tell me what to do
Anyone to say to me my feelings are not true
For your information
I maintain my station
Feel so incredible
Don't need no man to tell me where yo go
Cos this is all you know
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
I'll go wherever I know that you won't go
I don't have to tango with your ego
And it's just because I said so
They way I'm feeling now is mental
The problem first starts in your dentail
I can't believe they let you in 'dis place
But have they seen the look on your face
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this
Not this girl, not this world
Just step off, had enough
You're no good, I'm no fool
I just don't need this

Why Can't I Be Good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I act like a man
Why can't I be good
And do what other men can
Why can't I be good
Make something of this life
If I can't be a god
Let me be more than a wife
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
I don't want to be weak
I want to be strong
Not a fat happy weakling
With two useless arms
A mouth that keeps moving
With nothing to say
An eternal baby
Who never moved away
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
I'd like to look in the mirror
With a feeling of pride
Instead of seeing a reflection
Of failure a crime
I don't want to turn away
To make sure I cannot see
I don't want to hold my ears
When I think about me
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
I want to be like the wind
When it uproots a tree
Carries it across an ocean
To plant in a valley
I want to be like the sun
That makes it flourish and grow
I don't want to be
What I am anymore
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
I was thinking of some kind of whacked out syncopation
That would help improve this song
Some knock 'em down rhythm
That would help it move along
Some rhyme of pure perfection
A beat so hard and strong
If I can't get it right this time
Will a next time come along
Why can't I be good
why can't I be good
Why can't I be good
Why can't I be

That is the godawful thing about television today. Performers don't have any place to hit and miss. You're either in or you're out; you don't have a chance to become good at your craft. If you make three pictures in a row and they don't go over, you're out of the business.

Be Good Johnny
Skip de skip, up the road
Off to school we go
Dont you be a bad boy johnny
Dont you slip up
Or play the fool
Oh no ma, oh no da,
Ill be your golden boy
I will obey evry golden rule
Get told by the teacher
Not to day-dream
Told by my mother:
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good be good (johnny)
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good (johnny)
Be good be good.
Are you going to play football this year, john?
No!
Oh, well you must be going to play cricket this year then,
Are you johnny?
No! no! no!
Boy, you sure are a funny kid, johnny, but I like you! so tell me,
What kind of a boy are you, john?
I only like dreaming
All the day long
Where no one is screaming
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good be good (johnny)
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
