I am thinking about chess in schools in particular. In the USA more than 3200 children competed in an event.

The Athletic Association competed against the University. So there was an event. You cannot break world records unless it is an established event, and you have three timekeepers, and the whole thing is organized.

After that, Kasparov stepped back from chess which is, and I want this to be clear, not good for chess in general at all. As a whole, the current situation in the chess world leaves a lot to be desired.

Event Of My Death
Event of my Death
As I Iay in the dawn of the hours waiting for my body to rest
I wonder what I will do in the event of my death….
In the event of my death most just think heaven or hell
No not me it doesn’t stop there…
In the event of my death my spirit will leave my body
My spirit will truly start living
In the event of my death I case my location,
Thinking about what led up to this…
In the event of my death I will visit all my loved ones…
My first visit will be to my king..
I will watch over him making him feel secure..
In the event of my death I will make my presence known
I will make them feel me in the heart and their surroundings…
In the event of my death I will travel…
I will hover over all the pyramids in Egypt,
I will explore all the places I’ve never been..
In the event of my death I will talk with my creator..
I will know all the answers…
Most of all In the Event of my death I will meet with my brother..
My brother and I will be together again…
In the Event of My death I will realize I’m really not dead..
In the Event of My death I will know that my spirit lives on..
I will know what living is all about…
In the Event of My death I will be immortal
I will be goddess a In the Event of My death...
I will be what I was born to be....
I will be free
I will be free of insecurities, free of poverty,
free of calamity, free of a broken heart,
Free of depression, free of negativity,
Free of racism, free of prejudice
I will be free In the Event of my Death
I will be all the things I was born to be...
I will be powerful, I will be beautiful, and I will be limitless
I will be a Goddess in the Event of my death...
Now what will you be....

Chess Piece Face
Whats gonna happen to chess piece face
There go I but for my face
All I know could be defaced by the facts in the life of chess piece face
I dont know where he lives
Or if he knows to sail
Or if little schemes like this one ever cross his trail
But I dont believe hes dreaming
Or if he cares to know
So I shudder* in my lampshade
So, whats gonna happen to chess piece face
There I go but for my face
All I know could be defaced by the facts in the life of chess piece face

No More That Luxury
At one time schools were open plan
anyone and everyone could just walk in.
There were no locked gate
and high perimeter fencing.
No more that luxury can we afford.
There is always suspicion
of those waiting to come in.
Schools now have high fences
with sharp points on the end.
They have become more like prisons
to keep our children in.
Gone are the days
of a carefree atmosphere.
Now there are security cameras
around everywhere.
These are all needed
for the children in their care
to keep them separated
from the predators that linger out there.

My Child's Tournament of Chess
High preparations
Great apprehensions
Last minute advises
Hope for celebrations
That's my child's tournament of chess.
Reaching the venue on time
Dying to know the opponent's name
Waiting for the match to commence
That's my child's tournament of chess.
Win or lose?
Life gets stuck
No mood to stroll
Hauling the mind
out of the chess hall
That's my child's tournament of chess.
My child starts appearing vulnerable
The opponent appears unbeatable
Praying for the win of my race horse
That's my child's tournament of chess.
Makes me meet all my weak emotions
Fear, jealousy, worry and doubt
challenge my sense of spiritualization
My mind gives me premonitions
That's my child's tournament of chess.
Gifts me a chance to become strong
A chance to climb up the emotional ladder,
for what I so long
A chance to look at the opponent as my own child
Pray for both to play their best
That's my child's tournament of chess.
My child's tournament of chess
allows me to understand
the meaning of failure
Two faces of the same coin,
success is no different from failure
Both are the part of the same destination with no comparison
Who can tell which is more important the Moon or the Sun.
My love for my child shall remain the same
Performance is no benchmark for the same
Win or loss, loss or win,
I will always love him
Whatever be the result
of my child's tournament of chess.

In the government schools, which are referred to as public schools, Indian policy has been instituted there, and its a policy where they do not encourage, in fact, discourage, critical thinking and the creation of ideas and public education.

Who Else Other Than Me Know What I Am Thinking
I think mainly based
On my impressions on
The happenings around
Likely and very much likely
None other's impression
Will be similar
Hence, none other thinks
The way I think about an event
My level of understanding or otherwise
My level of value additing or otherwise
My level of experience to an earlier similar event
Are unique to me
And no one can make out
The thoughts processed in me
Based on these
I know some evolved people appreciate
The uniqueness of one thought
And make no attempt to judge on that
Some, however, claim foolishly
That they know who is thinking what
Please appreciate the fact
Who else other than me know what I am thinking
Understand this please
Accept this fact and
Accommodate me, even if found foolish

Chess is a sport. The main object in the game of chess remains the achievement of victory.
A Call to the Gods of All Faiths
When the earth wasn’t probed
in all its nooks and corners,
the prophets found You all.
Men with Satanic spell invented
superstitious stories to thrive in life.
People built abodes of worship
and were inspired to write dictums,
for their welfare. Amends and Emends
were abhorred by the orthodox.
Billions of people crowd on this planet
with hidden swords and guns tainted with
views of crooked religious faiths.
Mothers pleased to undergo pain and ordeal
for giving birth to children, now stand before schools,
in the cold and hot Sun to get applications
for admitting their loved ones in those schools
which are said to be manufacturing doctors
and scientists with marvelous brains. The stars and
dancers of the tinsel world are from these schools.
O Gods of all faiths! Inspire the rude and crude minds
with thoughts of bringing You all under a single faith
and make Your palaces into secular, part-time schools
for all our children to pray and learn.

The Drop In Game
Two curious monkeys sat up in a palm tree
watching two Russian men playing chess.
Everyday they watched the Russians play
until a winner was declared the best.
The next day a Russian sat alone at the table
with the chess pieces set out to play.
A monkey dropped in and sat opposite him
and a game of chess got under way.
For over a week they played each other
until the monkey won five games to three.
The next day a lone monkey sat at the table
until its friend dropped down from a tree.
For two weeks they played each other
with every game resulting in a draw.
The monkeys that sat around watching
applauded and wanted to see more.
Two more weeks passed without a winner,
but then the tropical rains began to pour.
A hurricane blew the chess set out to sea,
now chess is played on the ocean floor.

By The Fire... (Part Three)
when we stop using schools for refrigerators,
a place to put children till they're grown...
and infuse our schools with open minded passion,
and the unrestrained hunger to learn...
when each child is given equal opportunity,
is presented all sides of issues,
and given the freedom to choose....
when we stand behind our teachers
with both respect and awe....
only then, will education be both real and just!

Dreams Aspire to Reach the Sky
Sports men and women ready
All wanting to aspire to their dreams
Each with goals to set
Within their own teams.
In an Olympic event
On the track ready to run
Making sure you don't come last
People cheering you on.
In a moment of peace
Like when Doves fly
Tears flow down their cheeks
As dreams aspire to reach the sky.
2012 They came to London
They competed, they won and lost
Returned to their own countries
Memories forever embossed.
