Not yours

Those who are with you
Are not yours.
You are part of the dream
Dream is not yours.
You are on the earth
Earth is not yours.
You are under the sky
The sky is not yours.
Air water light
You are using not yours.
Your life you live
Not yours.
Nothing is yours
You are part and parcel
Of everything
Without you nothing values.

Im Living My Life

Part of my life is tatoo's, penetentry rules
When running yo mouth only seperates the men from the fools

Part of my life is bullets, guns, blood, sweat and tears
This is the part of my life that I've lived for years

Part of my life is dreams, wishes, hopes, happyness
Where I could care less about the world and its current happenings

Part of my life is lies, deciet, greed, envy, and hate
Which so many leaders of our world think is great

Part of my life is all the above
Cause everyday I see sadness and very little love

Part of my life has so much love to give
But I'm catching up with death fast, from the life that I live

Part of my life is wrong nor right
But I need no sympathy, cause I'm living my life.

Disarming

Confronting death, they meditate
in charnel grounds and other scary sites,
Tibetan yogis facing fate
of death, which they allow to claim its rights
and undermine their great elation,
rendered harmless as they now invite
to join them in their meditation
death, which they deprive of sting and bite.

More than Judeo-Christians re-
alistic, they don’t choose to rage about
the dying of the light, and see
within death’s darkness no cause for them to doubt
that death is no less part of life
than feet and hands are part of legs and arms,
while seeing it no cause of strife,
but part of life that it in peace disarms.

In Death, My Final Part

A tower grim; a glowering darkness,
And only brown of red the other hue
– I saw it in the distant eyes –
And yes, He knew, but focussed only
On the mortal soul of mine –
After all, He had a role to play,
And wine: my shivering blood to quaff!
If only I could Him betray –
To break the seal of destiny;
Escape the lone cacophony
That emanates from wailing minds!

Damn the fate of His – it awes and blinds!
But oh! the mighty hammer strikes a toll;
The slow approach of Him upon the knoll
Commences exudation of a dying heart.
Endorsing all, I honed my final part.

Hidden Meaning

To death do us part
Does that mean death of the heart
Or growing old in age
That might be like being trapped for all your days

There are too many ways to look at this-but not enough time to comprehend
What this means, and where its meaning ends
Im not sure how to say it
But I’m sure you’ll understand-that it means love and life will exist to the end

Not necessarily together-no not at all
Love grows old and fades away
But some things are here to stay
Love them for all your time, and don’t forget what love was mine

To death do us part; the irony so discreet
And some of us, that irony will meet
When it happens then you’ll know
Why love and death are not one

So death do us part,
What do you say
Is your meaning for now and today
Or will it be for along the way

Until then, I will try
And even see what I can find
Death do us part, I’ll figure you out
And when I do, I’ll find that route
The path between death and love
And see if it intertwines

If it doesn’t then I’ll know
That life and love were meant to grow
To flourish in the great divine
Of course...that love wont be mine

Blood Promise poem by- Kaitlyn FairChild

Two Lovers Bound Apart,
Life and Death is the only thing,
That matters to one but not to the other,
One alive yet dead only because is a part of death,
The other with life and a part of life,
But both have hearts that can never be together,
For death hates Life as life hates death,
with sorrow they must hunt each other,
or be hunted by one another.

I was aware of it, but I grew up in a very a-religious family. My mother never went to church, she never had any religious training or background. It was never a part of our social interaction.

What do I believe As an American I believe in generosity, in liberty, in the rights of man. These are social and political faiths that are part of me, as they are, I suppose, part of all of us. Such beliefs are easy to express. But part of me too is my relation to all life, my religion. And this is not so easy to talk about. Religious experience is highly intimate and, for me, ready words are not at hand.

Disingenuousness

Here lies another box for nature,
Carbon ready;
Black to eyes down here,
Where death is at its job.

Up there you’ll hear a rhythmic sob
Or two from living yet-to-dies –
A humming lacrimoso –
It all but cleans the eyes:

Forget it –
The dismal show of grief –
Life is only chemistry –
Our stay is only brief.
It’s we who hype it up!

Diaphragms jerk again;
The jet monotone of hearses
Feeds the disingenuousness
Of undertakers –
They seem to stare at something up ahead –
For them, it’s in the blood,
To taxi off the dead.

Recognition: Now Your Silence Is Always Part Of Me

Now your silence is always part of me,
where you lie naked on the examination table
before they slice you open after your death

and much too quickly life frolics past
and now I want it so much differently.
Now your silence is always part of me,

with past moments that I cannot avoid,
when a holy man says some words from scripture,
before they slice you open after your death

and totally separated are you and I
where my hand rests on your breast,
now your silence is always part of me,

you that once full of life, carelessly free
could bind your love as a oath to me,
before they slice you open after your death

and I wonder what remains in these moments
where I have to lie down that, which had been between us,
now your silence is always part of me,
before they slice you open after your death.

I Am Not Religious

My friend, religious I am not, when by you I’m put on the spot,
My belief is found in only one; God’s Only Risen, Eternal Son.
This isn’t a belief found in men, but, in one who died for them,
And Christ, who died, rose again, to offer New Life to all men.

Religion’s a man’s institution; a fallen man’s religious solution,
Devised upon this earthly sod, in man’s attempt to reach God,
Embracing indeed a broad array, of beliefs in our present day,
Beliefs men embrace religiously, so other men around can see.

Our salvation is all of God’s Idea, to regain for us life eternally,
That’s why I cling only to Christ, the very Author of Eternal Life.
Religion calls The Author a liar, as it sets its belief much higher,
Than the True Sovereign Lord, leaving many Truths unexplored.

Religious is a common phrase, used by men in different ways,
And many can be religious friend, not knowing God in the end.
The religion that I speak of, compromise God’s Truth and Love,
Having a form of godliness, as it lacks Christ’s Righteousness.

Friend religious I may have been, back before I was Born Again,
But now religion plays no part, with Jesus living within my heart.
Now all my life I live for Him, Christ, who saved me from my sin,
Not to live the present religiously, but to live with Christ eternally.

Religious

Religious friend is when you see, no change in one’s activity,
As their life still continues on, from the evening into the dawn.
While continuing through their day, living on that broader way,
Living their life, as in the night, with The Lord God not in sight.

Christ is not the spiritual head, as they lean on religion instead,
Religious icons and man’s ways, denying Christ His due praise,
Recognizing God to some extent, but not in ways Heaven sent,
As they are not Born Again, following ways prescribed by men.

Religion my friend has no part, when Christ truly has your heart,
As God’s Holy Spirit, dwells inside, in Christ’s ways, you abide,
Refraining from religious views, as you spread The Good News,
Truth right from God’s Throne, that you’re saved by Christ alone.

Christ separated from religion, displaying to men some derision,
Painting for all, a clear picture, for all who dare malign Scripture,
Those who follow their own desire, ignoring God throned higher,
Christ the Head of His Church, not bodies where many do perch.

Our Lord Himself, did condemn, the religious body built by men,
And Christ shall never change, which brings religion much shame,
Religious ritual is an abomination, to Him who provides salvation,
In and through The Savior, Christ, God’s Only Way to Eternal Life.

Why Did Death Take You Away?

This year marked the anniversary of your death.
When you first died I couldn't take a breath.
I can't believe you've been gone so long.
It's sad you died at twenty-nine, you were wronged.
I know death is part of life's grand design.
We mourned your death for oh so long, we still morn to this day, but we're resigned.
Death is part of lives great design.
Many think death is divine or of God's design.
So, even though death took you away.
Our love for you is always here to stay.
I still ask; Why did death take you away?
Maybe the answer to that question will never go away.

Not that

Not that
I do not know
Who am I
What I am doing
What is my future.

I am not here
To hide myself
I know fully well
I am your part
And parcel
I will cross me
And reach there
Where you are.

Wait Till You Die Feb 26th,2011

We have to wait to die because there is no other way,
At least there is no death with dignity advertised on display
And assisted suicide here in Canada is illegal,
Your doctor could end up needing more than a paralegal.

And this is a nasty subject that nice people try to avoid,
The religious and the holy folk might even be annoyed.
You will go to heaven or hell after you die they all say,
Their religious rules say that they are right as they often pray.

I’ll admit, it’s not a nice subject but we’re all going to get there,
And the experience of death and dying, no one is aware,
We could get death with dignity if referendums like the Swiss,
I can almost hear it now as politicians and priests all hiss.
