Fundamental of Liar Chapter CXXI: It doesn't mean any harm
It may be provocative
It may be disturbing
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be rough
It may be emotional
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be wild
It may be rebellious
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may go unplanned
It may look careless
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be a nuisance
It may be a mistake
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be a mess
It may be complicated
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be slow progress
It may test the patience
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be a hard blow
It may shake the faith
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be cursed
It may be judged cruel
But it doesn't mean any harm

Leave It Open
With my ego in my gut,
My babbling mouth would wash it up.
(but now Ive started learning how,)
I keep it shut.
My door was never locked,
Until one day a trigger come cocking.
(but now Ive started learning how,)
I keep it shut.
Wide eyes would clean and dust
Things that decay, things that rust.
(but now Ive started learning how,)
I keep em shut.
I keep em shut.
Harm is in us.
Harm is in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
(leave it open!)
Harm is in us, but power to arm.
Narrow mind would persecute it,
Die a little to get to it.
(but now Ive started learning how.)
I leave it open.
I kept it in a cage,
Watched it weeping, but I made it stay.
(but now Ive started learning how.)
I leave it open.
I leave it open.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
(leave it open!)
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
(leave it open!)
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Har in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us--
Harm in you and in me!
What you letting in?
Tell me what youre letting in.
Say what were gonna let in!
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.

Extraits
The Man Closing Up,' from Night Light' (1967),
would make his bed,
If he could sleep on it.
He would make his bed with white sheets
And disappear into the white,
Like a man diving,
If he could be certain
That the light
Would not keep him awake,
The light that reaches
To the bottom.
dour vision of life's journey: from 'Sestina on Six Words by Weldon Kees'
There is no way to ease the burden.
The voyage leads on from harm to harm,
A land of others and of silence.
'The Miami of Other Days'
The winter streets an orchestra of horns
And gods slept under tabernacle tents
That sprang up overnight on circus grounds
Like giant toadstools yearning for respectability.
In a portrait of himself at age seven he writes :
sometimes he would squat among the foul weeds of the vacant lot,
Waiting for dusk and someone dear to come
And whip him down the street, but gently, home.
'Poem to Be Read at 3 A.M.'
Excepting the diner
On the outskirts
The town of Ladora
At 3 A.M.
Was dark but
For my headlights
And up in
One second story room
A single light.
A more recent poem on the Great Depression shows his cynical side:
Agriculture embraced Industry,
Mammothly, on public walls.
Meanwhile we camped out underneath
Great smiles on billboards fading.
How shall I speak of Doom, and ours in special,
But as of something altogether common ?

Making The Peace...by Talile Ali
one thing i can say at least
there's nothing as great as making the peace
being stubborn and unforgiving
leads to death and a life not living
shame on those who chose to do
the other and hold a grudge so cruel
the harm they do to themselves and their world
is a travesty and a universe unfurled
with clarity it is plane to see
that what is real is la life thats free
of stress and strife and unforgivingness
if you are ever to attain a life of true bliss
to hate, to wish to harm some one
is dirty work and aimless fun
yes, fun i said, and it must be
because why else would some one harm another, you see
sadistic and malevolent
sociopath and psychopathic whim
i don't really care for any of them
a worm is a worm is a worm is a whim
so i will not say or wish any harm
if i ever did, place myself on a farm
or off in the woods in a tree somewhere
hell i still might do that, it's better than unfair

Half of the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm. But the harm does not interest them.

Where Is The Harm In Looking?
Where is the harm in looking?
Beauty is a delicate blessing…
As baking is all in the cooking,
And in us constant tasting…
Where is the harm in looking?
See entwine the under growth…
These violets; singularly, alluring.
See the morning and the primrose.
Where is the harm in looking?
O sees the sleek birch trees reaching
Its branches outreach our time and space
Touching the stars—
For us hung-out to gaze in every place.
Where then girl is the harm in looking..?

The idea that we cause harm by doing what we perceive to be the right thing, that's another theme that interests me. Because most people don't intend to cause harm, they cause harm by doing the right thing - in their mind.

Harmful Cigar
May harm force an injury,
Let the beginning of time be day.
The day shall end in victory
For those in night, and the night
Shall turn into day again.
This day I force harm on yesterday
As if I smoke the cigars of time
That rely on clocks, and so I waste my time.
This is harm to the body
When supple arms pursue the smoking
In a way we object.

The Power of Silence
Silence is the element
In which great things fashion themselves.
The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence.
Silence saved the man the thugs came for,
But the screaming fellow took the bullets
Silence a remedy for harm
Life is a pregnant silence.
Light silence, dark speech.
Stones are mute teachers;
They silence the observer,
And the most valuable lesson
We learn from them we cannot communicate
Silence alone is respectable and respected.
I believe God to be silence

See and Understand
I want you to see and understand
The burden on my heart and brain
The burden which weigh more than my body
The burden which weigh more than the mountains
The burden that no one else can feel, except me
The burden which vague everything, even me
But
Everything is invisible and hidden behind so many curtains
Whenever I try, something stops me to be open in front of this world
May be this world don't care and don't want to see, what's inside
Thoughts and tears are my biggest treasure
The treasure no one can steal
Because no one wants to be under that burden
I want you to see and understand my silence as well
Because this silence wants to reveal a lot of things
This silence wants to be heard and fell
It is killing me, it's want to be free and this silence wants to fly in the sky
This silence which is getting rebellious now
This silence don't want to be controlled
It's making me helpless and weak
It wants to be broken now, like a mirror
And every shattered piece of that mirror will be unique
Understand my silence

You sometimes forget the harm that was done to you, but never the harm you have done to others.
These 3 Sins
These 3 sins have finally found me:
Lust, Ambition and Greed
Creepin' in the back door, they came without warning,
they burned whatever they could steal
they burned whatever they could steal
So please could you go back where you came from again?
We don't want to harm ya,
We don't want to harm ya,
We are not your armor,
We're your friends.
These 3 sins have fell from their horses,
and taken me and you for a ride.
Deliver us from evil, let the devil disown me.
The serpents and the snakes will decide.
The serpents and the snakes will decide.
So please could you go back where you came from again?
We don't want to harm ya,
We don't want to harm ya,
We are not your armor,
We're your friends.

Beyond Our Absency
Disregarding the opportunities that we meet/
Ignoring our most important responsibilities/
Unfortunately
Unwillingly we loose our most valuable years and their chances/
As we earn instead regrets/
The weakness of the will/
The loose of the faith/
Leads us to concern about our futures/
As with time we loose self confidant/
Disregarding of others capabilities to bear our immorality/
Our ignorance against other's feelings/
Leads us to disturbance/
As well as the loose of our most important relationships/
The avoidance and the fear to make a change/
In rough of importance of our cases to make a change/
Leads our lives as well as other people's lives/
Those who are the most valuable existence and the essential realities of our lives/
To never-ending sufferings/
Unfortunately sometimes unconsciously/
We do harm ourselves and people around/
We do care and love them/
Because of a very silly reasons we do harm them and ourselves/
Absency at the near future while we feel the results of the past faults/
While we suffer we forget that those are the results of our absence and unawareness/

Dreams
Fading into cruel shapes, my dreams are clothes,
Anxious harm erupts in my mind to scatter echoes.
Dreams are a foray of inner dreams from life,
Then the surgeon arrives and departs, he causes the knife
To incise a man who is ill and depressed from harm,
The very same harm caused by a man of calm.
His calm propels our thoughts of him
In ways of the peace, the love of him.
This is cruelty of our dreams in life
With which we punish others in the nightlife.

Hovering I Saw A Redbreast And A Wren (Roundelay)
Hovering I saw a redbreast and a wren,
who were both very scared of men
and to me both birds had some lovely charm,
as innocents to which I meant no harm.
Fluttering some cooing wild doves came down
making my small garden their very own
some pecked bread or landed on my arm,
as innocents to which I meant no harm.
Pecking some hoopoes landed in my yard
and the two of them was never apart,
fleeing in their scared heart throbbing alarm
as innocents to which I meant no harm.
