When I crossed Asia with my friend Peter Fleming, we spoke to no one but each other during many months, and we covered exactly the same ground. Nevertheless my journey differed completely from his.

Life, a long, long journey

Life is a long journey,
A long, long journey-
a journey that begins with a tear,
And still ends in sore tear,
A journey full of distresses,
Possessed by variety and differences,
But one thing I and you should know,
Never destroy the Bridges,
Over which we crossed to get where we are,

Today this is mine,
Tomorrow the yours may be nine,
So that I need and must appreciate,
Nevertheless, don't forget me also to congratulate,
When I offend you please forgive,
And am in need, don't forget to give,
For one thing I should -you should know,
Never to destroy the bridges,
Over which we crossed to get where we are,

For now you may not need me,
But tomorrow it may turn to me,
Don't despise I say Don't look down on me,
Because a bridge that you'll need someday I may be-
when you'll need to cross over back,
When we are forced to retrace our back,
Then the interest we didn't think of
when destroying the bridges,
Remains the only option for our lives to get there,

My friend thank you so much,
You were a help to me that much,
When i needed you most you cried with me,
Laughing you did it not forgetting me,
Through the tough storms we've sailed,
so much and yet still is said,
Because one thing you and i do know,
Never to destroy the bridges,
Over which we cross to get where we are,

Three Monkeys…plus One

First monkey covered his eyes and spoke,
“See no evil”...
By refusing to see and confronting evil
Victims are born of doubt, guilt and fear
Clear sight sheds light and illumines evil

Second monkey covered his ears and spoke,
“Hear no evil”...
By refusing to hear the voice of evil one cannot know truth
Truth is discerned by the heart and mind
Voicing truth creates a vibration that dis-integrates evil

Third monkey covered his mouth and thought,
“Speak no evil”...
Evil cannot manifest if one thinks before speaking

Fourth monkey opened his mouth and spoke,
“Do no evil”...
This was the wisest monkey of all

The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead

Peter pumpkinhead came to town
Spreading wisdom and cash around
Fed the starving and housed the poor
Showed the vatican what golds for
But he made too many enemies
Of the people who would keep us on our knees
Hooray for peter pumpkin
Wholl pray for peter pumpkinhead?
Oh my!
Peter pumpkinhead pulled them all
Emptied churches and shopping malls
Where he spoke, it would raise the roof
Peter pumpkinhead told the truth
But he made too many enemies...
Peter pumpkinhead put to shame
Governments who would slur his name
Plots and sex scandals failed outright
Peter merely said
Any kind of love is alright
But he made too many enemies...
Peter pumpkinhead was too good
Had him nailed to a chunk of wood
He died grinning on live tv
Hanging there he looked a lot like you
And an awful lot like me!
But he made too many enemies...
Hooray for peter pumpkin
Wholl pray for peter pumpkin
Hooray for peter pumpkinhead
Oh my oh my oh!
Doesnt it make you want to cry oh?

New Friend

Mind my own business, I'm on my journey
And I have enough old friends to keep me company
But you way "Hey what's up, you want to hook up?
You wanna hang out with me?
Kick back, relax, feel happy and lazy
You're sent to me one time
You come to me two times
Why me? Three times
Well abracadabra now I've got a new friend
Chorus:
Let me introduce to my new friend
I got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend
I got a new friend
Mind my own business, I'm on my journey
I against I on my journey
Happily interrupted extremes are extreme
So with my brand new friend we touch the boundaries
Like a little kitty's whiskers, cautiously
Experimental expressions and downward looks
You come sniff around, I'm not sure what to do
But like a big explosion, magically
Look at me I think I might have found a new friend
Chorus
You're sent to me one time
You come to me two times
Why me? Three times
Serial monogamy, I got a new friend

A shame

‎ 'You are shame and has crossed the limit'
'from where did you get the access or permit'
did you not feel shame to call on?
Do you think you have scored or won?

I was pushed to the ground
the allegations totally unfounded
How could one reader comment for simple request to read?
I found my self out of gear and completely dead

The house in Panorama Street

I once had a stretch of red rocky ground
on the street side
of a rented house
in Panorama street in Rooihuiskraal.

The cars criss-crossed past
and the bank took it back
and rented it out
and nobody else
wanted to make that house
his own.

I decided to let flowers,
sprout out
of that rocky earth.

There were small carnations
that grew creeping over each other
with the most wonderful smell
and opened
in colours of white, red and purple blue.

There were geraniums
that easily grew out of cuttings
and become big strong bushes
that was covered with flowers.

Vygies crept all over the place
and just where you look
the rocky soil stood in flower
and I wanted to stop the bank
when I got two months notice
and other people
bought that house
with my beautiful garden.

Journey From A Small Place

I think I'll journey out some day to wondrous lands afar,
Or even chart a journey to a distant blazing star.
I make a journey in a paper
A contemplation ink in white field
I make a journey inside the book
Traveling my imagination in the word ocean

I make a journey under the table
A furious food battle on the ground
I make a journey on top of the roof
Transforming myself among the cloud in the sky

I make a journey outside the glass
A different possibility faces on the transparent canvas
I make a journey at the bridge
Clearing the dark shadow with the water current

I make a journey above the tree
An adventure child who never stops to grow
I make a journey over my pillow
Bringing a piece of dream to reality world

Don't Peter Out

Before the Saviour met His end upon the Cross of Christ,
He washed the feet of each close friend, for each was highly prized.
Though Peter looked and stared amazed at what God's Son would do,
Such love for him was not embraced, 'I should do this for You! '

Yet Jesus said he must be clean, his soul was in great need...
This was God's time to intervene, so Peter then agreed...
Yet this same friend denied the Lord, 'I do not know this man! '
His coward soul proved him a fraud... How could he know God's plan?

His expectations led astray, his hopes completely crushed...
To him, it was like Judgment Day, now humbled, he was hushed...
Yet Jesus prayed that he might stand and rise above it all...
One day to hold Christ's holy hand and preach as bold as Paul...

You've lost someone, I've lost someone... Like Peter, we've all wept...
Yet through it all, let's love God's Son, the promises He's kept...
So count your blessings in the Lord... Salvation here and now!
That's why we stand in Christ assured, that's why we kneel and bow...

Yes, there's a God and God is love, no God has greater worth...
His grace for us is quite enough, more grace than we deserve.
Life isn't always Sunday School... We must withstand the knocks!
Just trust in God! He's not a fool... God thinks outside the box!

A Kingly Man

O Friend of always the right,
The clue of time is hidden in my purse;
Inside is also a great travel that I embark upon.

O Friend of mine, why is this?
It is inside the purse that lingers a shiny bauble,
A shiny ring, and it lets us journey the hills of space.

The Friend: O Little man, I seek a helper
To lift me into light, and majesty is all I can utter
As I am a king who needs no travels nor journey of rings.

O Friendly King, my love is an ornament for you,
And the light of the ring is more spacious,
So I may think the task too great for you.

The Friend: O Little man, I am not dazzled by your ring,
My jewels are with me, and my friends are not.
Your journey can never begin.

For this it is quarrel and fight,
And the king must leave his little friend.
To always call him his foe.

Mr. Peter & my sister

Mr. Peter & my sister

This poem goes out to Mr. Peter
Who is a friend of my sister
And blow out my cover

In order to hide
I wrote my name backward
Until…the same day
My sister who is smart like Holmes
And Mr. Peter who is a genius
Discovered my disguise
And ruined my surprise.

Do You Even Know Me?

Do you even know me?
I walk down the street so many are completely oblivious to who I really am.
I wish to know everyone.

Like best friends.
To trust, in the inner most exposing.
A naked body cradled lying on the ground.
Water flows freely to every extremity.
Feeling equal inside.
Throwing away every last bit of pride.

Do you even know me?
I walk down the street so many are completely oblivious to who I really am.
I wish to know everyone.

A persona amplified by class.
I want to eliminate all of it as I pass.
We are all flawed.
Why in our eyes all that is seen is rejection?
Stay away from me you have an infection.
A carcinogenic ailment.
Oh it spreads to quickly.

Do you even know me?
I walk down the street so many are completely oblivious to who I really am.
I wish to know everyone.

Do you even know me?
I walk down the street so many are completely oblivious to who I really am.
I wish to know everyone.

Do you even know me?
I walk down the street so many are completely oblivious to who I really am.
I wish to know everyone.

My journey
started
the day

All my
hopes
and
dreams
became
reality
in your
being.

so sweet,
endearing,
so caring.

Once again
I was
taught
trust and

completely.

As my

you
still
walk
beside
me.

encouraging
stay on
course
an awesome

yet so
brief.
