Optimistic in Disguise
I don't see the world so bright
I don't dream the hope so high
Indifference is just too much
I'm optimistic in disguise
I loose my mind to fight
They never care I was so right
Stubbornness is just too hard
I'm optimistic in disguise
I don't need so shiny light
Your pride is no use in night
Loneliness is just too sharp
I'm optimistic in disguise
Your words hum like bees
Poison me to be not me
Narrow-mindedness is just too tight
I'm optimistic in disguise
Take your game and leave me might
Have no mercy to give a sight
The blood is just too cold
I'm optimistic in disguise

Chasing Pessimists Away
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
Those who look for troubles got them carried in a bag,
'Cause...
They would rather carry all their troubles that they've had.
Carrying their troubles seeking more of them to nab.
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
Being optimistic is a feeling that could last.
Those who look for troubles got them carried in a bag,
'Cause...
They would rather carry all their troubles that they've had.
And carrying their troubles seeking more of them to nab.
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
Being optimistic is a feeling that could last.
And being optimistic makes those pessimists mad.
And chasing pessimists away should make somebody glad.
Pessimists would say that optimism is a gag,
But...
Being optimistic is a good thing to have.
And being optimistic is much better than the bad.
Being optimistic makes a better day had.
Being optimistic makes a better day had.

Always Be Optimistic.
Always be optimistic.
ALWAYS.
It's not the shell but the nut,
That nourishes.
But then again...
There will be those who spend,
Too much time complaining...
About the strain of the cracking.
Deciding there is nothing more than that.
And not examine,
How the foundation was created.
Or what it took,
From nothing to be made.
Since for them...
Strength relys on outside appearances.
Leading many to accept expectations of failure.
If not already precast in concrete.
Always be optimistic.
ALWAYS.

Optimistic Suicide
Her screams are that of a,
Harmonious disaster,
Caged in a,
Rubberband prison.
Her melancholy intentions,
Lead to a freezer burn.
Shes anxious for an encore,
Shes anxious for her turn.
She's all tripped up,
And her heart's skippin' beats.
She's feelin' this groove,
Yeah she's feelin' the heat.
Rev up that rhythm,
She's gotta have her,
Optimistic Suicide.
Shes wallowing in her pitty,
Shes dabbling in her pride.
It rattles to the bone,
Like a deathly rose.
But that's how suicide goes.
And why, well no one knows.
Maybe she'll go up,
Maybe she'll come down.
Optimistic Suicide,
Calms the hallow sound.
Her intentions do morph,
She's turned from inside out.
Now shes lingering in doubt.
She screams,
'Please let me die,
My optimistic suicide! '
She cries and cries,
Why wait for these lies.
There's no other way,
But to die with a smile.
And her optimistic suicide,
Did certainly beguile.
Now she is dead,
With a smile in her grave.
Beguile suicide did,
But it also did save.
These Lazy Mornings, Thi Lovely Self...
there are mornings that are very much like us
lazy, do not want to wake up, light spreads in bed, and fresh air
fills the air and sings in our ears
yet
we cover our eyes, we refuse, we
curl our legs, and bury our eyes on the pillow
these mornings are nameless and they are many
some of these mornings are fruits of those sleeping pills
because some nights are cruel insomniacs that hide from us
the gifts of sleep,
i like to hate mornings like these
and i may hate it till evening
but i have already made a promise to understand all these
stupid mornings and
just be patient and let go off them
i write once, that i may hate everything including these lazy mornings that shy away from light and air
but i must spare this self that
after all i do not really exclusively own.
and so this is it:
i hate this lazy, stupid morning, but i shall never
hate myself:
i am sleepy, i am beautiful, i am lovely and witty after all.
you may sing tonight with me:
this love of self, this greatest love of all.
Do not misinterpret it for arrogance, pride or conceit,
albeit, i must tell you,
this is just a good gadget for moving on
into a sweet and kind survival.

Going Home
I see the faces on my picture one is you
I see the reasons why the picture just aint true
Im going home
Im gonna be there one of these mornings
Gonna break away on the thirteenth of july
Im going home
Going home
The dust collector keeps on banging at my door
Tales of the wild west, I cant mean it anymore
Im going home
Im gonna be there one of these mornings
Gonna break away on the thirteenth of july
Im going home
Going home
And Ill be there one of these mornings
Walk down the road and there you are, yes I am
Maybe Ill see you if I can
Break away, from one of these memories
Walk down the road and there you are, yes I am
Maybe Ill see you if I can
Im going home
Im gonna be there one of these mornings
Gonna break away on the thirteenth of july
Im going home
Going home
Going home
Going home
Going home

One Too Many Mornings
Down the street the dogs are barkin
And the day is a-gettin dark.
As the night comes in a-fallin,
The dogs ll lose their bark.
An the silent night will shatter
From the sounds inside my mind,
For Im one too many mornings
And a thousand miles behind.
From the crossroads of my doorstep,
My eyes they start to fade,
As I turn my head back to the room
Where my love and I have laid.
An I gaze back to the street,
The sidewalk and the sign,
And Im one too many mornings
An a thousand miles behind.
Its a restless hungry feeling
That dont mean no one no good,
When evrything Im a-sayin
You can say it just as good.
Youre right from your side,
Im right from mine.
Were both just too many mornings
An a thousand miles behind.

Midsummer Morning
Midsummer rain, you and I together
Im only dreaming again and I will forever it seems
Midsummer dawn, kisses in a doorway
I cant believe they are gone so I live our story in dreams
But baby I always wake up lonely
Mornings dont comfort me
Sometimes I think youre only
A midsummers nights dream
I should have know, friends gave me warning
You had a dream of your own, now our midsummer mornings are through
Follow your star, it will lead you somewhere
Love is not really so far if in dream I can come there to you
But baby I always wake up lonely
Mornings dont comfort me
Sometimes I think youre only
A midsummers nights dream

Morning Morgantown
When morning comes to morgantown
The merchants roll their awnings down
The milktrucks make their morning rounds
In morning, morgantown
Well rise up early, with the sun
To ride the bus while everyone is yawning
And the day is young
In morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Well find a table in the shade
And sip our tea and lemonade
And watch the morning on parade
In morning, morgantown
Ladies in their rainbow fashions
Colored stop and go lights flashing
Well wink at total strangers passing in
Morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Id like to buy you everything
A wooden bird with painted wings
A window full of colored rings
In morning, morgantown.
But the only thing I have to give
To make you smile, to win you with
Are all the mornings still to live
In morning, morgantown
