You would see people going back to homes that had been burned, putting thatch over their structures again. They still couldn't leave the area without the danger of men being killed or women being raped, but it was a start.

Women are the backbone of many structures. When you build women, you have built those structures. When you break them, you have broken those structures. That is why, women empowerment should never be taken for granted.

What's wrong with our world?

Why are people abused
Why are people shot
Why do people commit suicide
Why are people anorexic and bulimic
Why do people care more about money than family
Why do people call themselves fat or ugly
Why are kids kidnapped and killed
Why do people die
Why do people tell you they love you and take it back
Why do people hurt each other
Why are people raped
Why do people cut themselves
Why do people hate their lives
Why do teenagers get pregnant
Why do people call each other names
Why are people raciest
Why are people depressed
Why are people put in mental hospitals
Why do peole do drugs
Why do people cuss
Why do people not care what happens to them
Why do people care what others think of them
What's wrong with our world

20th Century

Farms are burned down to the ground
and cattle slaughter just there in the fields,
while a super power forces women and children
into concentration camps to kill them there.

Railway tracks run crisscross over the country
and galloping horses and oxen pulling wagons
are replaced by roaring cars, lorries
and motorbikes
and people follow technology
as if it’s the new god.

When the stock exchange folds
people jump from the windows of buildings,
while they are out of their wits,
as if they have got wings.

Germans march past
and thousands in crowds
are giving a sigh heil salute

and in a peculiar way stay ignorant
about millions of Jews that are robbed
and killed,
as if they did not exist.

Bombers let bombs dropp like rain
on Britain and rockets
hit London almost unstoppable

and in the icy Russian winter
the Germans are reminded that they are humans
and from Stalingrad they are driven back

until the Russians claim some of Berlin
and half of Germany
as their domain
and almost every women there gets raped

and America drops the bomb on Hiroshima
and another time on Nagasaki
and their enemies are molten, burned and radiated

and after this war jets cross the skies,
rockets go to the moon
where man stands like a god.

l’Envoi
It’s the age were young boys
are shot into peaces in Vietnam, in Namibia
and Angola are sent to war,
where people loose respect for God
and try to solve everything with science,
where man becomes godly in his own eyes

and I wonder what the almighty God
thinks about this
while man is turn the earth to ruins
and are filling the cup
of the wrath of God?

The people and the mindset that killed 3,000 of our fellow citizens on September 11 2001, would have killed not 3,000, but 300,000 if they could have or 3 million or 30 million. We need to do everything we can within our value systems and legal structures to make sure that doesn't happen.

Leave off the Agony in Style

Come all ye good people, listen to me, pray,
While I speak of fashion and style of today;
If you will notice, kind hearts it will beguile,
To keep in fashion and putting on style.

Chorus --

Leave off the agony, leave off style,
Unless you've got money by you all the while,
If you'll look about you you'll often have to smile,
To see so many people putting on style.

People in this country they think it is the best;
They work hard for money and lay it out in dress;
They think of the future with a pleasant smile,
And lay by no money while putting on style.

Chorus --

Some of the people will dress up so fine,
Will go out in company and have a pleasant time.
Will rob themselves of food, perhaps, all the while,
Sake of following fashions and putting on style.

Chorus --

I love to see the people dress neat and clean,
Likewise follow fashions, but not extremes;
Some friends will find it better in future awhile,
To lay by some money while putting on style.

Chorus --

Gentlemen on the jury decides the criminal's fate;
I pray you turn from wickedness before it is too late;
Sad, indeed, would be your friends to hear your name reviled,
Better be truly honest though putting on style.

Chorus --

Leave off the agony, leave off style,
Unless you've got money by you all the while.
If you look about you you'll often have to smile,
To see so many poor people putting on style.

The secret war that is raging in South Africa

The secret war that is raging in South Africa
asks for white blood,
these black people first kill and torture
before they take your possessions.

Incident upon incident I can tell about
where white families have been killed,
just think about the Orffer family
who was killed in Stellenbosch

on Friday 31 July 1994
by black people:

First the trustworthy black maid Sannetjie,
who tried to ward off the attackers with her bare hands
like a Amakeia of days gone,
then the blonde small girl

then the dad and the deaf little boy
and last the mother
were chopped with a axe to death
and everywhere there was blood.

Nowadays the tendency is
to first bind up the head of the family,
the man, to assault him
and to torture him to death in front of his family

and then to rape the women,
even toddlers and babies
and if the women are lucky
they survive

when the criminals
leave with their possessions
and it seems as if the police
do not want to, or are not able to stop this thing

and then it is claimed
that these people kill and steal
because they are hungry, while people in government
sings songs to wipe out whites.

From April 1994 when Nelson Mandela became president
the wiping out of white families is our destiny,
the Afrikaner nation is in the melting pot
we who have an own culture, language and identity,

who cannot become part of the hurly-burly
are killed, not only robbed
but tortured and horribly killed
and our women and children are raped.

Even Eugene Terreblancé
had befallen this same lot
and if this is not a war
that is raging against us,

where we are systematically
bit by bit, family by family
wiped out, and the numbers
are already in the thousands, then what is it?

Peleg Poague

Horses and men are just alike.
There was my stallion, Billy Lee,
Black as a cat and trim as a deer,
With an eye of fire, keen to start,
And he could hit the fastest speed
Of any racer around Spoon River.
But just as you'd think he couldn't lose,
With his lead of fifty yards or more,
He'd rear himself and throw the rider,
And fall back over, tangled up,
Completely gone to pieces.
You see he was a perfect fraud:
He couldn't win, he couldn't work,
He was too light to haul or plow with,
And no one wanted colts from him.
And when I tried to drive him -- well,
He ran away and killed me.

Danger

There is danger atop our heads;
There is danger around us all;
There is danger beneath our feet;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger in the skies;
There is danger in the seas;
There is danger ev’n on land;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger from earth’s bowels;
There is danger in forests;
There is danger in hills, vales;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger from our brethren;
There is danger from kith, kin;
There is danger from strangers;
There is danger to man and beast!

There is danger within us;
There is danger from space;
There is danger to our soul;
Nevertheless, God protects us.

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)

They leave their homes
Unwillingly forced
And follow their fate
Through fields and trails
Massifs and woods
With all their goods
Love and hate
Mores and tales
All in bales
Carrying their own
Flesh and bones
Feet like stones
Their bodies and souls
Kids and crones
Torn by storms,
Rains and gales
Attacked by guns,
Helis and drones
No role to play
In games of peace
And deadly war
Not a word they say
But a question,
Why? What for?
While we yawn
Sitting at ease
In our climes
They leave their homes
And reside in camps
Strive for a living
Internally displaced and dead
Beg for a dropp of water
And a piece of bread!

(May 12,2009)

(*) Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) is a neoteric terminology used in reference to those people who adopt refuge in their own countries due to any life threatening disturbance like fight between the extremists and security agencies or fight between the local millitant groups that results in catastrophic changes in their lives and they leave their homes due to anarchy in their respective area. Wealth From Misery

What is gold really worth?
When people die from it on this Earth.
Now gold is just a another rock,
why is the price so high on it's stock?
Humans are not as highly evolved
if we give it some thought.
This would not happen on highly evoled
planet—not in a million years-
It does not get US to where We Are Going
I'm sorry gold millionaires.
Especially if women are being raped, children are being killed,
what for so you can put more money in your till?

Love Just Is

It is a question then has boggled minds for a very long time.
There is no right or wrong answer in how you feel.
It just is.
If you have to ask why then you are missing the point.
For love is a mysterious creature who won't reveal her secrets easily.
Acceptance of love is so much better then questioning it.
For if you are putting an earthly reasoning behind something so magical.
People have killed over it.
People have killed themselves over it.
People are enslaved to it.

The True Me

The me that wants to fall in love,
Not spend another night in a,
Lustful bed.

The one that is deaf,
Because of her mothers hate cries.

The me that takes the word danger with a grain of salt,
And will try anything once.
If not killed might try it again.

The one that really thinks she is beautiful and sexy,
And enjoys getting dressed up,
Because then someone might notice her.

The me that is a broken and fallen angel,
Picking up all the pieces.
But needs your hand to learn how to start,
Putting them back together again.

The one that is a weak, loud, strong leader,
Who will put you before herself anytime, anywhere.
The person that you cant see from a far.
The someone that you cant find skin deep,
Even if you looked real hard.
This me is the one who is only shared within whispers,
And hidden within too many masks.

The masks are like a layered cake and I am at the bottom
Every word within the poems that I write
The masks crumble at the tip of my pen
And I expose to you
The true me

They Raped Her

They raped her till she died!
But a stone falling from heaven will judge them one day;
For his earth is full of negative people.
Let them fall back to learn from their mistakes! !
For their toes were like their woes;
And they attacked this lady like their foes,
But does that save the dead body? ! !
For these people raped her till she died.

On CNN, I Saw My True Heroes

At the crossroads of my life,
I thought that most of my Heroes
Were dead, killed, tortured or knifed
By some cheap bums or paid sbirroes
Of some barbarous gangs in uniform.

Tonight, I saw the sad events in a different form,
I can honestly tell you more about my true Heroes.
Most are gone, but some are still suffering in Homs,
Under a heartless and ruthless regime; with no homes,
No shelters to hide; they are exposed
To heavy shelling, mortars, and deadly rockets.
Those victims are my people, my brothers
And sisters. They are constantly in my prayers.
Our world, which failed to rescue them, owes them a series of debts.

My Heroes' biggest weapons are their voices.
Their cries will silent the tanks and the Kalashnikov guns,
And, in the name of God, will turn them into babies' toys.
Justice and Liberty will prevail in favor of the sons
And daughters of the Almighty God.
The gangsters ignore that they came from earth and like mud
All shall return to that state. The souls
Of the innocent civilians will head to Heaven,
Accompanied by the army of the Angels,
Meanwhile the oppressors will be thrown in Hell with Satan.

My true Heroes are suffering and dying in Homs;
They have no heavy guns, no shelters and no homes.
Children and men are weeping and dying; women are crying
And being raped; while the Superpowers are simply watching.

Race:

Tell me who chose his race
Who has designed his face,
Before he was born?
Is it you?
Show me your race request!
Explain to me your color pallet
Why are you putting race first?

Did your ancestry choose
Their skin color?
Did color even matter?
Who gives you the right,
To discriminate against others?

Telling me we are "not equal"
Putting yourself against the bible
Get out of this circle
Get out of this bubble
This action is reversible.

So much taste of pain
Too much mark of chain
Not to remember, not to maintain
The spirit and the complain
To the next generation, you explain!

As it takes love
To love someone else
It takes more than love
To love who hated you
You have to embrace
A total different race
If you are a racist
You need God's grace
If you are a sexist
You are out of trace.

Little Richard created Rock n Roll
Who is control it?
British created Soccer
Who is best at it?
People lynched people
Over race
People burned people
Over sect
People killed people
Over religion
If you discriminate
You have lost the race
Under the skin we are one
Black, White, Spanish
Asian, Indian just name
Human being is universal
Living in peace is principal
With every race is just moral.

Burned In

Come fool.
Where we create.
Follow me your life.
Set in World demise.
Lots to define.
Follow the bodies there.
Living in the past.
Said so as cold as the wind.
Cut through life.
Blind fool.
We overkill.
Chopped at the throat.
Set in burned in rot away.
Set in burned in killed away.
Burned in life of hell.
Have to survive.
Without fears of grave.
Lives left to die.
Where to? Says the mind.
You're first to die.
Set in burned in rot away.
Set in burned in killed away.
Time hurting make the change.
Time hurting waste away.
Inferior certain display.
Falls, sent to be convincing.
Be strong your alive.
Be strong to see them die.
To see them die.
Come fool we create.
Set in world demise.
