Why is it trivia? People call it trivia because they know nothing and they are embarrassed about it.

Seduced By Trivia

It is easier to take a taste that is sweetened.

Once seduced by trivia it becomes a wasted effort,
To reduce it to just a meaningless hype.
After it has blown to grow in significance,
To entice one's appetite.
Since a trivia introduced to praise delusion,
Feeds less on truth.

Until truth itself becomes viewed as ineffective.

And those most affected become conditioned to suspect,
Every aspect of truth with a wish to dissect it.
With a recruiting of those who have chosen to disrespect,
The presence of truth's existence...
To ensure none of it is left to have influence,
On anyone believing to be truthful is best.

It is easier to take a taste that is sweetened.
Until truth itself becomes viewed as ineffective.

Trivia Questions

Before you
there was nothing
and after
you, there will be nothing.
I've always told you, young lad,
how you remind me
of Lord Krishna.

As you bathe in the light of
nuclear holocaust,
your outstretched arms transform
into IV hangers.
The softest, most tranquil
valium
runs laps through
my nervous system.

Oh how the rays of misty light
look beautiful
on your expressionless forehead.
I just want to kiss them off.
Remember that one time we argued
because I wouldn't
follow
your advice?
I'm sorry. Please forget about it?
It was trivial. It was all trivial.
Trivia questions:
Who was the 9th president?
What is the 14th ammendment?
Who was Eva Braun?
In what year
did the poet
Carl Adam Ingwell die?
What were his major accomplishments?
Trivia.
All that matters right now
is that nothing matters.
But doesn't that mean that something
matters?

Let's just dance, you and I,
shoeless
upon these clouds of death.

From Zero To Ten

Be you the one,
To rate anything done...
From zero to ten,
Nothing will change...
The dilemma we're in.

Those of minds closed,
And focused upon trivia deeds...
Only express their limitedness,
With a digging of their own holes...
To prioritize their insecurities.

Many Feel Threatened When Approached

I've learned many things about the thinking process.
Many feel threatened when approached by someone doing it.
And some are literally stunned to witness it done.

AND...
If one should speak clearly,
With a thinking process going on at the same time...
They become suspect for being up to something,
That may be evil and demonic.

Giving reason why some people have chosen,
To stay as ignorant as possible!
And fear those expressing an intelligence.

'Watch out for him.
He is not like us.'

~I wonder what his secret is?
I'm trying not to be like ya'll myself.
Ya'll too hung up in trivia and feet shufflin'...
With lips poked out, cussin' and baby talk.~

Excuses, excuses...

It's a situation
all too familiar:
sitting at this keyboard
getting sillier and sillier,
descending from Olympus
to a hell of trivia,
fingers wildly itching
for some inspiration,
tapping out some pointless words
in conceited desperation

so I hope you'll weakly smile
and charitably say
'oh it's just a poet who won't shut up
having a bad day'...

Embarrassed?

You seem to have no problem,
Admitting those things you've done.
Even those things not socially accepted,
Others in a similar position...
Would try to hide or lie about them to run.

But you...?
You almost seem to brag,
About those things that shock and stun.
Why is this?
People today expect remorse shown.
At least some sign of embarrassment.
But you...?
You want it known what you've done,
With an emphasis in expressed sentiments.

'Embarrassed?
Are you kidding?
Why should I be embarrassed,
To experience and adventure?
I've been blessed with life,
To explore and discover...
Those things for me that are right.

The walking on water to prove I can do miracles,
Has already been done by the Chosen One.
And IF I am going to be doing any walking on water,
It will be frozen to be witnessed by at least someone.
Embarrassed?
Are you kidding?

And I am certaily over qualified to run for politics.
I do not lie or deceive or pretend to do magic tricks.
Or use religion...
To deny my sins committed.
With a doing them over again...
To dilute a forgiveness to me that had been given.
Embarrassed?
You make me laugh.

You see those people over there,
Hanging their heads down in despair?
They are the ones embarrassed!
Not me.'

The Searched Soul

When I consider, pro and con,
What things my love is built upon --
A curly mouth; a sinewed wrist;
A questioning brow; a pretty twist
Of words as old and tried as sin;
A pointed ear; a cloven chin;
Long, tapered limbs; and slanted eyes
Not cold nor kind nor darkly wise --
When so I ponder, here apart,
What shallow boons suffice my heart,
What dust-bound trivia capture me,
I marvel at my normalcy.

Trivia and Those Tripping Over It

I'm not one to trip over anything to keep it repeated.
Some trip and want it to be revisited.
As if in the doing,
A remembering of it...
Satisfies a preoccupation of a score to settle.
While basking in the glow of immaturity.

And self inflicting wounds...
Usually occurs between kids bumping into each other,
While at play.
To consciously do it to oneself is not mentally healthy.
Especially if some of those playmates have aged,
With the leaving behind of trivia and those tripping over it...
To explore a more broadened aspect of a life,
Rapidly in change mode.

The world so caved

The world so caved
In time so caved
Down in trivia perpetuation
As though the heart is a rusty place for the nostril pant
To ashes be embraced hue of innocent age
For the death of crow the guiltless embrace
Many in throng trembles down the stares of liberation
On high way of victory
A facade of infant desire
Blazing within reach
Yet extinguished with smoke
An obligation for fangle generation

Out To Eliminate Frivolous Trivia

Taking time for the ridiculous,
No longer crosses my mind.
I'm out to weed these days.
Out to eliminate frivolous trivia.

I've donate enough of my mind to those times.
And participated with the deliverance,
Of my own foolishness.
And I don't intend to do that for the rest of my life.

Stuck in cemented buckets,
May be those tools by a mason...
Forgetting to use bricks to lay.
And I recognize needless nonsense delays.

May I use your hatchet, please?
Some heads are about to roll!

Abrupt

Abrupt.
Ignored warnings.
From dusk 'til dawn.
With games of trivia played,
Daily...
Going on.
With shoes once worn,
On another's feet...
Now fit with a tightness.
So tight that they squeeze.

It would be a relief,
Just to take them off.
But no opportunity comes...
And the expense of it,
Has it cost!
The pain now felt...
Is not someone else's loss.
The pain now felt...
Is personal.
And in private acknowledgement...
One can not sleep.
One at night...
Sweats in regret.
With a turning in a mind that's tossed!

Abrupt!
Without solutions to soothe!
