There's much to be said for feeling numb. Time passes more quickly. You eat less, and because numbness encourages laziness, you do fewer things, good or bad, and the world's probably a better place for it.

An Eternal Kind Of Love (Enclosed Triplet)
While time far too quickly passes us by
in the presence of things pure and true
that between some beloved partners does lie,
sometimes the vast protecting sapphire sky
hangs covering over us, in it’s deep blue

Lost Inside
It’s another night
Stuck in a place that we love
Sitting there with
The bright lights
Shining down blocking out
My chance for sleep
Everyone is thinking of everything
They could be doing instead
All i hear is laughing out loud
I think if im not here
I would be doing homework
Which was my only true
Lie
Coming from it all
Id rather be at a place
With no more yelling
I look ahead realizing
That this is for me
Then why do i keep
Disregarding it all
As a punishment
When it only is a place that helps me
Friends are talking laughter all around

When Illusion’s Cloud Lifts
How quickly time passes
and the years go by,
then we look back at things
as if they only happened yesterday
and when the cloud of illusion lifts
we suddenly realise
just how many years have gone by.
It get a little frightening when you think
of how time can slip through our fingers
like the batting of an eye.
We think of how many lives
have quickly come and gone,
of how many faces from our life
have disappeared forever,
never again to be seen.
We can only go forward
like generations before
always looking for heaven
as we open each and every door.

It's not possible; things are tough.
I'm not able, not good enough.
My weight's not right and shape's a fright.
Each who passes scorns my sight.
There's no time; the risk's too great.
