The Los Angeles riots were not caused by the Rodney King verdict. The Los Angeles riots were caused by rioters.

When I have been asked during these last weeks who caused the riots and the killing in L.A., my answer has been direct and simple Who is to blame for the riots The rioters are to blame. Who is to blame for the killings The killers are to blame.

Los Angeles
City of glam, city of crime
People are fake, you're no friend of mine
Club fights, dancing through the night
We're kids living the dream under the lights
We're in Los Angeles
Dancing through the night in Los Angeles
Hollywood trash in Los Angeles
Being ourselves in Los Angeles
Never losing Los Angeles
City of High, city of low
Selling drugs, we're losing our souls
Walking the strip with one goal
We're gonna live our dream, no one can stop us all
We're in Los Angeles
Dancing through the night in Los Angeles
Hollywood trash in Los Angeles
Being ourselves in Los Angeles
Never losing Los Angeles
Girls in my world
Music in my ears
Pain in my tears
Rock in my veins
Nothing in my brain
I think i'm going insane
That's all i need in Los Angeles
We're in Los Angeles
Dancing through the night in Los Angeles
Hollywood trash in Los Angeles
Being ourselves in Los Angeles
Never losing Los Angeles
We're in Los Angeles
Dancing through the night in Los Angeles
Hollywood trash in Los Angeles
Being ourselves in Los Angeles
Never losing Los Angeles

Los Angeles
I met a man
He was a good man
Sailing and shoring
Dancing the beta can-can
Making me foreign
Oh yeah
I want to live in los angeles
Not the one in los angeles
No, not the one in south california
The got one in south patagonia
I want to live in los angeles
Not the one in los angeles
They got a bunch down in moleville
They got a bunch more still
I want to live in los angeles
Not the one is los angeles
They got one in twenty-five two five
Works just like a beehive
I want to live in los angeles
Not the one in los angeles
Counting helicopters on a saturday night
The symphony of the fair light
I hear them saying los angeles
In all the black and white movies
And if you think they star-spangled us
How come we say los angeleez?
Ill wait in los angeles
Ill wait in the pouring sun
No way
For not anyone
No way
I met a man
He was a good man
Sailing and shoring
He got a betatron, man
Talking that foreign
Oh yeah
Ill wait in los angeles
Ill wait in the pouring sun
No way
For not anyone
No way

THE RIOTS OVER THERE Apr 1st 2011
I’m not sure what to think about those many riots over there,
Are they good; are they bad; and what’s the end result in these affairs?
There’s usually at least a dozen riots going on all at once,
And that many despot dictators showing off their arrogance.
And the UN has shown that they are absolutely confused,
As we wonder whose side are they on and we’re not amused,
Wouldn’t dare tell despot dictators that maybe they should quit,
Or tell the rioters that a constitution could benefit.
These despot dictator guys are usually replaced by others,
Could be some sort of relative or even a brother,
Constitutional writers are not well known over there,
In fact no one has ever heard of one in these despot affairs.

Angeles
Someones always coming around here trailing some new kill
Says I seen your picture on a hundred dollar bill
And whats a game of chance to you, to him is one of real skill
So glad to meet you
Angeles
Picking up the ticket shows theres money to be made
Go on and lose the gamble thats the history of the trade
You add up all the cards left to play to zero
And sign up with evil
Angeles
Dont start me trying now
Cos Im all over it
Angeles
I could make you satisfied in everything you do
All your secret wishes could right now be coming true
And be forever with my poison arms around you
No ones gonna fool around with us
No ones gonna fool around with us
So glad to meet you
Angeles

Sleep Deprivasion(Kids of The Street)
Sleep deprivasion caused by hunger, hunger for food for a kid who hasn't eaten in days.
Sleep deprivasion caused by nature, filthy blankets wet from rains.
sleep deprivasion caused by nightmares, dreams of an alcoholic father and an abusive aunt, cause of my running away.
Sleep deprivasion caused by pains, sharp pains from my chest caused by the cough I'v had for 6 months.
Sleep deprivasion caused by fear, fear from being attacked and raped by the older boys. rulers of the streets.
Sleep deprivasion caused by memories, memories of a life I had before mom passed on.
Sleep deprivasion caused by reality, truth of never amounting to anything. untamed words said by my aunt.
sleep deprivasion. A killer for kids on the streets. our solution became glue.

Comin Into Los Angeles
Coming in from london from over the pole
Flying in a big airliner
Chicken flying everywhere around the plane
Could we ever feel much finer
Coming into los angeles
Bringing in a couple of keys
Dont touch my bags if you please
Mister customs man, man
Theres a guy with a ticket to mexico
Could he ever look much stranger
Walking in the hall with his things and all
Smiling, said he was the lone ranger
Coming into los angeles,
Bringing in a couple of keys
Dont touch my bags if you please
Mister customs man, man
Hip woman walking on a moving floor
Tripping on the escalator
Theres a man in the line, and shes blowing his mind
Thinking that hes already made her
Coming into los angeles,
Bringing in a couple of keys
Dont touch my bags if you please
Mister customs man, man
Coming into los angeles,
Bringing in a couple of keys
Dont touch my bags if you please
Mister customs man, man
Coming into los angeles,
Bringing in a couple of keys
Dont touch my bags if you please
Mister customs man, man

On thinking about Hell, I gather
My brother Shelley found it was a place
Much like the city of London. I
Who live in Los Angeles and not in London
Find, on thinking about Hell, that it must be
Still more like Los Angeles.

The limitation of riots, moral questions aside, is that they cannot win and their participants know it. Hence, rioting is not revolutionary but reactionary because it invites defeat. It involves an emotional catharsis, but it must be followed by a sense of futility.

Season Of Unrest
Watching TV, I really can’t quite believe my eyes.
The country’s losing control, I’m starting to realise.
If I was caught up in the riots, I’d be shaking with fear,
But, to be honest, I wouldn’t even dare venture near.
All that people can see for many miles around,
Are buildings on fire, being razed to the ground.
Some people have literally lost all their possessions,
Which hits them harder in this time of recession.
Faced with rioters with masks to hide their faces,
Riot-trained police are put through their paces.
The authorities seem to be rapidly losing control,
And their lack of strong presence is taking its toll.
In some places, are police dressed in their riot gear.
All around, you can almost smell the sense of fear.
Cars and buildings are being deliberately set on fire.
People are running amok till their heart’s desire.
They’re breaking down people’s front doors,
As well as looting goods from the nearby stores.
Many shops have had their windows smashed;
Their goods carried off to where the loot is stashed.
Petrol bombs and missiles are being thrown at the police,
Who are doing their best to restore relative peace.
The streets are bathed in orange firelight,
As police and rioters continue to fight.
Staff have locked themselves in; to scared to leave work.
Scared of getting caught up in the mobs going berserk.
TV reporters try their very best to keep us up to date,
But, with their own lives at risk, reports have to wait.
Unrest has now spread far and wide.
Law abiding citizens run and hide.
People are being forced to leave their homes.
Through the dark streets, terrified, they roam.
Unrest has been brewing for quite a while.
With cutbacks and job losses, people get riled.
People wonder where will be targeted next.
The whole country, this problem now affects.
I’m concerned for the safety of a dear friend.
I do so wish these awful riots would end.
I really do hope that it’s not long before,
Peace and harmony are restored once more.

The Drug's Not Working
I was shooting in the back of the car
When the windows smashed on the police cars
I was swimming through the streets of New York
With my cocaine dagger and throats to cut
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
But it was making me high
She was a hooker at the age of 16
All she wanted was the money
She didn't need an I.D.
She was a junkie and I know its clich
But then so was her life
I mean, she lived in L.A.
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
But it was making her high
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
But it was making her high
And it was making her cry
And it was making her cry
(Riot in my skull, demons are coming)
And it was making her cry
(Los Angeles is dead, the drugs ain't working)
And it was making her cry
(Painted it all black, the chains are jerking)
And it was making her cry
(Los Angeles is dead, the drugs ain't working)
And it was making her cry
(Riot in my skull, demons are coming)
And it was making her cry
(Los Angeles is dead, the drugs ain't working)
And it was making her cry
(Los Angeles is dead, the drugs ain't working)
Riot in my skull, demons are coming
L.A. your dead, the drugs ain't working
Painted it all black, the chains are jerking
L.A. is dead, the drugs ain't working
L.A. your dead, the drugs ain't working
L.A. your dead, the drugs ain't working
The drugs ain't working
The drugs ain't working

The Hard Way
I'm moving in
She's moving out to Los Angeles
She's got a truck; she's got my stuff
Packed into it
Just seven months
Was just enough
Of putting up with me
Imagine that
A baseball bat upside her TV
she says she needs some therapy
[Chorus:]
You know it seemed so simple before
She could have asked
I would have given her anything
And now it's 1, 2, 3
Blame it all on me
And I had to find it out the hard way
She calls me up
She's breaking down
In Los Angeles
She misses home
She's all alone
She can't handle it
But seven months was just enough
Of putting up with her
You're brand new nose & bigger boobs
Don't change a thing
You need some therapy
I think you need some help
[Chorus]
She's got a lot to figure out
She's got a lot to think about
She's got a lot to forget about
She's got a lot to live without
So many things to miss about me
[Chorus]
