The United Nations has become a largely irrelevant, if not positively destructive institution, and the just-released U.N. report on the atrocities in Darfur, Sudan, proves the point.

Despite the increase in world attention toward Sudan in the past months, the genocide in Darfur has continued without any serious attempt by the Sudanese government to do what governments primarily exist to do, protect their citizens.
We receive reports now on a daily basis from our own people on the ground in Darfur on widespread atrocities and grave violations of human rights against the civilian population.

Darfur - A Mouthful Of Silence
Darfur – Mouthful of Silence
Darfur hangs under clouds so dark and dense
The world helplessly watching makes no sense
The people there are scared and at their wits end
Murder, rape, robbery, mayhem, knows no end
As the world gives a well intentioned call
There are no results to stop this mad ball
While Darfur reels in a saga of violence
Why the world shows its 'mouthful of silence”?
If we do not act to break this hell on earth
If we do not break our “seeming” silence
If we do not rise now above our own selfish call
The Darfur like violence will one day, engulf us all

I've Heard Much Talk Of Darfur
I've heard much talk of Darfur though I've never been to there
Where people only live in hope and die slowly in despair
The tragic footage of there on the t v news brings it all home to me
Of what it must be like for those who live in abject poverty.
In a Land of war and droughts and famines where war lords rule by fear
Of any feel good and happy stories we never seem to hear
Where people die of hunger in their thousands every day
Man's inhumanity to man is alive and well today.
Where men and women look old before they reach their prime
To be born in the wrong place ought not to be a crime
The seeds they've planted for food have died and the parched ground is cracked and dry
And the warlords steal their food aid and the people starve and die.
A million people hungry for every billionaire
And the super wealthy getting wealthier doesn't life seem so
unfair
And poverty has it's root cause in man's inhumanity to man
And I feel sure that wealthy people also live in Darfur in Sudan.
Of late I have heard much news of Darfur and I've seen sad footage on t v
Of people due to no fault of their own in the worst of poverty
In a drought stricken Land ruled by Warlords the innocent die young
And are buried in mass graves and their praises remain unsung.

Say a Prayer for Darfur (Revised)
Say a Prayer for Darfur (Revised) (Warning for Mature Audience, violence depicted)
Darfur, yesterday,
Cozy, thatched huts,
Shining in the sun, nestled in the sand.
Darfur, yesterday,
Brightly-garbed, graceful women, friendly, strong men.
And the children…
The children,
Running and leaping,
Playing and laughing.
Today, a grinning skull
Hangs like the moon,
Over a gutted Darfur.
For Death came to Darfur,
Draped with murder and mayhem,
Wrapped in hate, lusting for power, land and oil…
Death came to Darfur,
On the backs of camels, driving trucks,
Wielding fire, sticks, bullets and bombs.
Today, behold, Darfur,
Burned, charred huts, starving children,
Dead bodies baking in the sun,
Untold numbers of women raped,
A tiny baby beaten to death,
Rumors of school children being burned alive!
Villagers locked in their huts and cremated, alive.
Children with noses cut off and eyes pulled out,
The village of Labado lies like an agonized, charred corpse.
Come, weep with me,
Pray with me,
For Death camps in Darfur!

The Bright Future of South Sudan
The bright future of south Sudan
South Sudan sons and daughters, wonderful and dear;
Together in life, together in death, together in liberty,
And prosperity; at last they’re free forever,
Swifter than Eagle, stronger than Lions.
Arise! South Sudan and shine like the sun;
The grace and glory of the God is shine on you,
The righteousness and brightness of his presence will be with you.
Day and Night your gates will be open,
So that your scattered sons and daughters will come back homes;
The land of the milk and honey.
You will tremble with jubilation and excitement of
Your independence days, months, years to come and go!
South Sudan sons and daughters, wonderful and dear;
Together in suffering, together in dying and,
Together in destitution, that has lasted;
Together in theirs own Land rather than in exile,
In theirs own Land, at last they’re free forever.
Increasing and countless than sand of sea and pacify,
Rather than decreasing, wars and conflicts.
And become stronger than ever before,
Rather than weakness over the years came and gone.
Arise! South Sudan and shine like the sun;
And rejoice because of what the God has done,
Your name is “The republic of south Sudan” from now;
And onward.
South Sudan sons and daughters, wonderful and dear;
Together in multicultural, together in multilingual,
And together in multiracial rather than assimilation;
Together unite in diversity, together in fraternity,
Rather than divide in diversity, and enmity;
So God! Bless South Sudan.

Aficionado
Visit Khartoum and Omdrumari in Sudan and,
You will see the facts of life as they are;
For Aficionado came and told me about Sudan,
And i want to look into the facts as well.

As long as people believe in absurdities, they will continue to commit atrocities.

As long as people believe in absurdities they will continue to commit atrocities.
Atrocity
When atrocities are in the house of never land,
Fought are the priests we stole from the sand
Of the desert, and the land of snow, as they are cold
And heavy with reward;
My sentence is old, small and tall, like a poem
Of great wonder and deceit.
This craft spells crafts over the page,
With atrocities in your own home.
The rest is vital,
And sadness reigns.

The Usurper
THE MOON
was crescent shaped
the star in between floats like a jewel
hanging on the ear
what appears to be
a hungry mouth
eager to swallow
what does not
belong to it
and then
the war started
atrocities justifying other atrocities
violence begetting
genetic violence
TV ads says
propaganda keep on
saying
there is no one to
blame
right fighting for rights
body burying another body
the ring
the circle of injustice
without beginning
without end

That's How The Story Told, Goes
Why can't we continue to pretend,
None of us have been troubled...
By the existing of the current events?
We had no problem with the knowing,
There were debts to pay.
It seemed yesterday to have been okay!
And ignoring those homeless and hungry,
Being left alone pushing their belongings...
In shopping carts obvious to all on city streets.
Didn't they choose for themselves...
To trade in their dignities,
With a choice to live like they do...
With little to nothing to eat.
That's how the story told, goes.
Why is it 'today'...
Those same delusions we then embraced,
Are from us being chased away?
Is there another chapter in this story,
Unknown yet to be told to unfold?
Something in the midst,
Is not being fair or realistic about this.
Why can't we continue to pretend?
And why is it from those dead,
We seem to learn our lessons?
After the passing of chapters,
Have to us been read?
