Better than succeeding little by little is failing at one go.

Perseverance is failing nineteen times and succeeding the twentieth.
Succeeding is not really a life experience that does that much good. Failing is a much more sobering and enlightening experience.

Failing
I'm trying my hardest to stay happy
I'm trying my hardest, I swear I am
But I fear that I'm failing
And this, I don't want you to notice
I'm trying to hide it
But I don't know if I can
I don't want you to know
that I'm failing
I don't want you to know
that I can't seem to stay happy
I want to be happy, for you
I want to show that I can be happy
And, I guess..maybe I just want
you to be proud of me
So I'll keep trying
But I fear I'm failing

Failing Hearts (Collaboration with Miranda Mabuto)
Beats nolonger sync
Love boat is beginning to sink,
The rhyme now hard to decode,
The rhythm now discord,
This is the song of failing hearts
The stars are fading out, im seeing
The light I cant see anymore, glistening
I can get the fine sound, im listening
Do you care now, do you know how?
Please let me go, let me be
Let me be me
Let me be free
Release me for another lover,
Let me find my happily ever after,
Let the failing hearts fail,
Let me leave you, let me
Your sad look wont move me anymore,
Your mad move pushed me furthermore,
You and I, me and you,
A history, a shadow, a memory
The rhyme nolonger a hit, but just a song
Nolonger a fine tune, the hearts are failing
The sun is setting with us,
When it rises, it wont rise with us,
When its dawn, we will be done,
The satisfaction of the faded lights,
The joyof the disjointed parts,
A history of the failing hearts

Just Emote...
a poet without talent
forgive him
for just being himself
forgive me
but we are all poets in some sense
a fly trapped inside
your hand wanting to be free
a bird in a cage
singing
a leaf falling and falling
and falling
eyesight failing and failing
and failing
and old woman on a
swinging
chair with no one caring
for her
a Japanese kid waiting
for help sitting beside
the ruble
a bird alone on a
telephone cable
sands on the shore and
the sea
a boy lost in the marketplace
a mother still searching
the silent crowd in the mall
always window shopping
we may have no talent
but we are expressing feelings
we are writing simply
by what we see....

I think that comedy really tells you how it is. The other thing about comedy is that - you don't even know if you're failing in drama, but you do know when you're failing in comedy. When you go to a comedy and you don't hear anybody laughing, you know that you've failed.

Walking On A Wire
i'm the one you've been hanging 'round
just stop hearing any sound
found you face down on the ground
found a friend never could be found
i've been waiting around
systems failing now
on your honor so i hear
it's never been your fault you swear
is the union based on fear?
tenement of tears
i've been waiting
systems failing
walking on a wire on the ground
is this all your world tonight?
is this all your world tonight?
have to tell a lie
to avoid a brutal fight
i've been waiting
systems failing
walking on a wire on the ground

_-Failing...Is Losing-_
Staying down is failing,
Failing is losing
Losing is a part of life…
But if there’s nothing else there
And you’re forced into despair
Why even try
When in the end we all die?
Why try to prove people wrong
When you know that there right,
Why try to stay in the battle
When you know you’ll lose the fight?
Why try to make a difference
Why even care,
When you’re left with only failure
And the sent of despair.

Yielding is sometimes the best way of succeeding.
I liked that idea. Someone who's trying to perform herself and not succeeding.

Growing Old Is Failing At More And More Small Things
GROWING OLD IS FAILING AT MORE AND MORE SMALL THINGS
Growing old is failing at more and more small things
It is losing power after power.
Diminished
And growing less and less
Down and down
An old man tries to sing
But even his voice is no more than
A cracked- filled silence.

Into The Sun
Rising, setting, been trying to get into the sun, yeah.
Wanting, getting, gonna get more, baby, when Im done.
All my life I had been waiting, then you turn me on.
Now therell be no hesitating, Im getting into the sun.
Growing, knowing, you learn more everyday, yeah.
Needing, succeeding, sun, dont go away.
Things are changing for the better, now Im not afraid.
Ill be writing you a letter, cause I just got paid.
Growing, knowing, you learn more everyday, yeah.
Needing, succeeding, sun, dont go away.
Things are changing for the better, now Im not afraid.
Ill be writing you a letter, cause I just got paid.
