The Barks of Trees are best gathered in the Spring, if it be of great Trees, as Oaks or the like, because then they come easiest off, and so you may dry them if you please, but indeed your best way is to gather all Barks only for present use.

On the old trees
The dancing ladies are clinging
On its barks
They are all yellow and blooming
From My heart too
Shall spring forth
Renewed vows & commitments.

When the dog barks
When the dog barks
Don’t crack, I remark
Watch your back
Maybe it is about to attack
A dog is commonly your loyal slave
But your master when it is brave
It can be your best friend
It can be your worst enemy
When the dog barks
Get ready on your mark
It senses you in the dark
When the dog barks
And you don’t talk back
It will sense the courage you lack
When the dog barks
You may need to give it a whack
To set it on the right track
Before it embarks
On a mission with its mates in a pack
When the dog bites
You must put up a fight
When the dog bites
Think hard, do what is right
When the dog whines
Even you should know it’s not fine

When a dog barks at the moon, then it is religion; but when he barks at strangers, it is patriotism!

If the dog barks, go in; if the bitch barks you had better stay outside.
The Social Climber
yellow is the color of the social climber
like a vine
with yellow flowers
the dancing lady variety
that thrives on the rotten
barks of trees
that looks for the sunshine
at the top of the trees
the calumnist of the Stars
its food
the rotten lives of other people!

A Bull Dog
A bull dog barks,
bark grows on trees,
trees is nature and nature is beautiful
so thank you for calling me beautiful
Those who master to climb trees with their teeth are in better position to tell which barks are bitter.
Always Remember
always remember that when
a fake dog
takes a poise on your sofa
at the middle of your
living room
or your study
try looking
try listening carefully
it never barks.
it is your silly puppy without a mommy
that barks
in the mirror. barking at its image
waggling its tail
the fake ones
do not bark, remember that, and i know that you know
that i know about this plasticity
between us.
it is you that barks
almost every morning when i begin to write a poem
and all the while for years and years
i have always been silent.
that is the difference between us.
and let me tell the obvious. do not be hurt.
i am fake and you are true.you are angry and i never was once.
you breathe. i don't anymore.

Still women love men
Wind in spring blows;
Petals wither.
Wind in summer blows;
Fruits fall down.
Wind in autumn blows;
Leaves are shed.
Wind in winter blows;
Barks get cracks.
Still trees love wind.
Still women love men.

Hypocrisy And Ignorance...
cutie the little chihuahua
lives inside the bath tub
near the music room of
tom,
the whole night the chihuahua
barks asking for
a hot-dog
for supper but cruel tom
listens to rock
and hears nothing about the tiny barks
of the tiny dog,
the following morning
tom gets wild
why his tiny dog died

The Vixen
Among the taller wood with ivy hung,
The old fox plays and dances round her young.
She snuffs and barks if any passes by
And swings her tail and turns prepared to fly.
The horseman hurries by, she bolts to see,
And turns agen, from danger never free.
If any stands she runs among the poles
And barks and snaps and drive them in the holes.
The shepherd sees them and the boy goes by
And gets a stick and progs the hole to try.
They get all still and lie in safety sure,
And out again when everything’s secure,
And start and snap at blackbirds bouncing by
To fight and catch the great white butterfly.

The Trees
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
There is unrest in the forest
There is trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunligh
And the oaks ignore their pleas
The trouble with the maples
(and theyre quite convinced theyre right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the oaks cant help their feelings
If they like the way theyre made
And they wonder why the maples
Cant be happy in their shade?
There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream 'oppression!'
And the oaks, just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
the oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light
Now theres no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet,
Axe,
And saw ...

The Cleaning Agents
Anger or sorrow is the outcome
When one’s interest is affected.
Anger barks out and sorrow sheds tears.
Barks and tears are cleaning agents.

french Fries -context-2nd World War-1940-fall Of France
An owl hoots, hoots, hoots, hoots
A dog barks, barks, barks, barks
Then some boots, boots, boots, boots
Uproots, uproots, uproots, uproots
The night lurks, lurks, lurks, lurks
Red wines bespatter,
French fries berserk, berserk, berserk, berserk
As the tall neighbours jerk, jerk, jerk, jerk
There rents the air some surrealists
The face of renaissance recaptured nationalists
No ikebana for my darling in Paris
As scenaries take on cemetaries
And greenaries take on apothecaries
Some invitations dugging heccatomb
Our menu-guns, missiles, mortar and a bomb.
Some toddler girls hanging for apricots
Uproar the gargantuan mascots
Come bigots,
Come faggots,
All yield in to the zealots
Ablaze relaxes a man
In some shabby agonized catamaran
His cries laughed away;
His worries withered away;
Is he the last to give in?
For Paris to Berlin.

Spring comes only once.
The spring strikes; the trees blossom.
Bees swam and the trees bloom.
The autumn strikes; the trees shed.
Bees are nowhere around the trees.
Spring comes to woman only once
That she must enjoy without a miss.

Why And When
Sadness rustle my soul per leave falling, in Autumn, structured behind my sorrow by dead trees -
No, that is not who I chose to be, I wish you could see -
With my pain i rake, alone in the forest, edged by infinity, of Nothing -
The sale is on, i gather far too many, death barks the cold which cover my soul as steal -
Too the 2, to want to, is the fall of my stars, broken by a darkness it was my wishes too -
Similiar to the power in weird, when i write my words, she seems queer -
So go ahead, axe my day, you may be the bullet, the one which
denies me one last piece of peace, by the say of the gun -
Controlled by the aura of silver, salt tastes sweet next to bitter -
I am no more, I am more in no -
Who am I and where did I go -
What -
Why -
When -
End -

Upon The Ground
it is about to rain
but i insist on staying on the ground
i lay my head on a rock
look at the trees
leaves spreading
everything is green
these are what i miss
from the ground looking up
seeing only leaves and twigs
and barks and trunks
and then it rains
i have no time to run
i decide to stay
and look at the same view
now wet and
mournful.

Frozen Vapours
Heavily overcast sky
With dark clouds
Gentle piercing wind
Rattles oaks, deodhars and pines
Whispers to rodhodendrons
Bloom time not far behind
Birds to safe havens fly
With spring
Again to arrive
Oaks, deodhars and pines
And apple trees
Not far behind
Greet the frozen vapours
With a warm smile.

Shall She Throw Then The Apple Of Discord?
out there is the calm
and the harmony of the leaves
and the grass
the silence of the ants and
the privacy of the worms
she does not like this
she needs the chaos to divert the
lulling ennui
that will soon numb and kill her
and so she climbs the only living
tree at the center of this paradise
gets the only apple
that she throws under the trees
beside the grass and flowers
and then the discord starts to unfold
now she watches all of them in their
domestic wars
the trees shake the leaves
and the worms are eating the barks
and the ants are building their empires
on sands
simply because they have turned
the blind eye the deaf ear
the gaps of communication bore
the holes of pandemonium
she sits and weaves herself a bandanna
now she is ready to go
