When I took command in Vietnam, I gave great emphasis to food and medical care - and to the mail.

E-mail My Heart
Forever...
Its been hours
Seems like days
Since you went away
And all I do is check the screen
To see if youre okay
You dont answer when I phone
Guess you wanna be left alone
So Im sending you my heart my soul
And this is what Ill say
Im sorry
Oh so sorry cant you give me one more chance
To make it all up to you
E-mail my heart
And say our love will never die (and I)
I know youre out there
And I know that you still care (I know you care)
E-mail me back and say our love will stay alive
Forever...e-mail my heart
I can see you in my mind
Coming on the line
And opening this letter
That Ive sent a hundred times
Heres a picture of us two (us two)
I look so good on you (on you)
And cant you please forgive me
For the hurt I put you through
Im sorry
Oh so sorry cant you give me one more chance
To make it all up to you
E-mail my heart
And say our love will never die (and I)
I know youre out there
And I know that you still care (I know you care)
E-mail me back and say our love will stay alive
Forever...e-mail my heart
Im sorry
Oh so sorry cant you give me one more chance
To make it all up to you
E-mail my heart
And say our love will never die (and I)
I know youre out there
And I know that you still care (I know you care)
E-mail me back and say our love will stay alive

I will, in the name of humanity which is outraged, in the name of liberty which is fettered, in the name of the constitution and the Bible, which are disregarded and trampled upon, dare to call in question and to denounce, with all the emphasis I can command, everything that serves to perpetuate slavery — the great sin and shame of America! "I will not equivocate; I will not excuse;" I will use the severest language I can command; and yet not one word shall escape me that any man, whose judgement is not blinded by prejudice, or who is not at heart a slaveholder, shall not confess to be right and just.

Syrup Sponge
Pour a pint of cream
Upon my spongy bulge!
Scoop me with a
Hefty spoon;
Taste my essence -
Do you swoon?
Feed your self-esteem; indulge
In me until you burst -
Death by syrup sponge - you're cursed!
And as the count in inches gain
Upon your weary waist, the strain
Will tell, but you'll not care -
Steeped in sponge, you're unaware!

A boy, four years’ of age, by mother sold,
Whose stamina was unusual for age;
Was discovered by a coach out in the cold,
And trained to be a marathon runner.
The coach paid back sum eight hundred rupees
And bought the boy back from the hawker old;
He gave him special food; reared him with love;
He exercised him so regularly!
He knew the boy could run a marathon!
He made him run long distances daily;
The boy had pace and breathing well-suited;
And soon he set a marathon record!
He entered ‘Limca Book of Records’ fast;
The tiny star had caught world attention;
They want to make a film about his life;
The human rights committee sent notice!
The boy was sent for a medical check-up;
He suffers much protein deficiency;
His kidneys could get damaged if he ran;
The doctors told him not to run for now.
He’d run sixty-five kilometers race!
May be, it was too much for his small age;
Nevertheless, a prodigy he turned;
He’ as the cynosure of all eyes in sports!
Is it exploitation of small children?
Is it an experiment by a coach?
More medical tests will show trauma done;
Kudos to boy: his coach and his great run!
The Indian lad could win Olympic gold;
He needs sponsors and special coaching care;
One can become great, born in sufferings!
The world shouldn’t ignore plight of all children.

Many of us are alarmed at the skyrocketing cost of medical care, including patients, who are the consumers. However, medical malpractice is not the reason for these increasing costs.
Overweight with Food
Are you just a tub of lard and
Vastly overweight?
Do you think that when you die you'll
Need a piano crate
To act as coffin for your frame? -
Chosen as you die in shame, with
Only you to take the blame
For years of eating much the same:
A daily calorific fest
Gourmands of your ilk digest!
Is your heart in final fling and
Nearly set to burst?
Are your arteries bunged and clogged and
Feeling now the worst
For wear? - your aneurysm fit to blow
While blood as thick as rising dough
Cries 'Halt! ' to any hope of flow:
A dreadful state to put on show
In front of any nurse!
Best you hail a hearse.

Vietnam
The runway rushed up at me, I felt the wheels touch down
Stood out on the blacktop, and took a taxi into town
Got off down on Main Street, to see what I recognized
All I seen was strange faces, watching a stranger passin' by
Vietnam, Vietnam, I don't man
Back in Vietnam
Went for my job back at the factory, down at the factory
The only thing I heard from the man at the desk
Is, "Son, understand if it was up to me"
'bout half the town's out of work
Ain't nothin' for you here
From the assembly line to the front-line
But I guess you didn't hear"
You died in Vietnam, you died in Vietnam
Now don't you understand, you died in Vietnam
Drive down my neighborhood
See the flags out on the porch
So I went to see my old baby
Down at First and Grand
Her mama told me she ran off
With a singer in a rock 'n' roll band
????
I can see me passin' by
You died in Vietnam, you died in Vietnam
Boy, don't you understand, you died in Vietnam
The runway rushed up at me, I felt the wheels hit down
I stood out on the blacktop, and took a taxi into town
Got off down on Main Street, to see what I could see
All I seen was strangers, watchin' a stranger pass by
And that stranger was me
Vietnam, Vietnam, oh-no man
Vietnam
Went to see my baby, down on First and Grand
To tell her I'd come home from away in Vietnam
Her mama came to the door and told me
Her mama told me she ran away
With a singer in a rock 'n' roll band
She said, "I'm sorry son, but we understand"
You died in Vietnam, you died in Vietnam
Now don't you understand, you died in Vietnam

John Sinclair
It aint fair, john sinclair,
In the stir for breathing air.
Wont you care for john sinclair,
In the stir for breathing air?
Let him be, set him free,
Let him be like you and me.
They gave him ten for two,
What else can the judges do?
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got to set him free.
If hed been a soldier man,
Shooting gooks in vietnam,
If he was the c.i.a.,
Selling dope and making hay,
Hed be free, theyd let him be,
Breathing air like you and me.
Right on!
They gave him ten for two,
What else can the judges do?
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got to set him free, free!
They gave him ten for two,
They got old lee otis too!
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got to set him free, free now!
Was he jailed for what he done
Or representing evryone?
Free john now, if you can,
From the clutches of the man.
Let him be, lift the lid,
Bring him home to his wife and kids.
Alright!
They gave him ten for two,
What else can the bastards do?
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,
We got, we got, we got, we got, we got,

Chain Of Command
How bright are the fires of thought
In a chain of command
How bright is the medical torch
When its put in our hand
My microbes and i
Cant wait to lay down and die
We realise that we must be spent
Like the cells that dissolve when a brainwave is sent
How bright are the fires of thought
In a chain of command
My bloodgroup and me
A body of soldiers are we
To the wound we quickly flowed
And we fought with the weapons in our
Chemical code
How bright are the fires of thought
In a chain of command
