To have an opportunity to make a movie like Cabin Fever, you have to get stuff thrown on you or you have to fall into a pit of water. It brings you that much closer to your mindset as a character.

No Cabin Fever Here
Many can get restless,
When a cabin fever comes to test.
And...
They must be living in a debt.
And pressured by regret.
Many can get restless,
When a cabin fever comes to test.
And...
Wishing to escape,
Through a door that has a blocked exit.
But nothing's going to keep me...
Locked up and away,
From Mama Nature.
I don't have those regrets!
Nothing's going to keep me...
Locked up and away,
From Mama Nature.
I don't have those regrets!

Cabin Fever was murder. There was a lot of psychological stress, like not knowing if we were going to finish the movie. The day we arrived to start rehearsals, our main investors pulled out.

Although The Snow Is Beautiful
It's the season of cabin fever.
And tempers flair...
To heat up.
When the snow begins to dropp a lot.
With a leaving of people cooped up shut.
Behind sealed doors and windows locked.
And though a Winter brings its cold,
There is a Spring that brings on Summer.
And a hibernating holds,
There is a Spring that brings on Summer.
And,
Beautiful the snow...
There is a Spring that brings on Summer,
With an opening of doors.
It's the season of cabin fever.
And tempers flair...

I just felt that you can't have a character fall in love so madly as they did in the last movie and not finish it off, understand it, get some closure. That's why the movie is called 'Quantum of Solace' - that's exactly what he's looking for.

Cabin Down Below
Come on go with me babe
Come on go with me girl
Baby, lets go
T o the cabin down below
I got a radio
Put in on soft and low
Baby lets go
To the cabin down below
Well, Ive had my eye on you
For a long, long time
Im watching every thing you do
Baby, youre gonna be mine
Come on go with me babe
Come on go with me girl
Baby, lets go
To the cabin down below
Times been moving slow
Since we both got here
Come on slide a little closer
Let me whisper in your ear
Well I got a radio
Put in on soft and low
Baby lets go
To the cabin down below
Oh, baby, lets go
To the cabin down below
Baby, lets love
In the cabin down below

The trick of this thing and the beauty of this thing is that it's a cowboy movie first and then stuff happens. Even after stuff happens it doesn't change - it hasn't suddenly changed into another kind of movie. It's still a cowboy movie. And that's what's incredible about it because nobody has done that before, that's new territory.

Hot Stuff
(coverdale)
Im ready for you,
Are you ready for me
Ive got a burning heart,
It wont let me be
I feel the hunger, my spirit yearns,
Ive got to feed the fever
Of a love that burns
I walk the street round midnight,
Looking for a little hot stuff,
I cant get enuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Hot stuff, hot stuff
Im hard to handle,
Too hot to hold
I cant seem to satisfy
My heart an soul
I need a woman to set me free,
A little miss understanding
To feel the need in me
I walk the street round midnight,
Looking for a little hot stuff,
I cant get enuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Cant get enuff, hot stuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Cant get enuff
Im ready for you,
Are you ready for me
Ive got a burning heart,
It wont let me be
I feel the hunger, my spirit yearns,
Ive got to feed the fever
Of a love that burns
I walk the street round midnight
Looking for a little hot stuff,
I cant get enuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Hot stuff, hot stuff,
Hot stuff, hot stuff,
Hot stuff, hot stuff,
Hot stuff, hot stuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff,
Cant get enuff, hot stuff,
I just cant get enuff, hot stuff
Hot stuff, cant get enuff hot stuff...

You have to understand the tone of the movie, because if it's supposed to be funny, it can be funny violent like the Home Alone stuff, but you have to really understand the tone of what you're doing and make the action work for that and for the character.

The image, as in a Hexagram:
The image, as in a Hexagram:
The hermit locks his door against the blizzard.
He keeps the cabin warm.
All winter long he sorts out all he has.
What was well started shall be finished.
What was not, should be thrown away.
In spring he emerges with one garment
and a single book.
The cabin is very clean.
Except for that, you'd never guess
anyone lived there.
You Were A Warning
It was a warm fall day,
When I first met you,
You had come to teach me to play the guitar,
I was told from the beginning that you were just here to teach me,
When I first saw you, I thought, Dang he is hot,
But you were only to teach me the guitar,
From that day we were always together,
Now I get told that you are a ladies man,
And you know girls around the area,
But I didn't listen to that warning,
I was drawn to you,
You are an amazing guy,
I learned things from you,
I met your family,
Our first date was at Dairy Queen,
You came to get me from work,
We went to Portage,
First Movie was Cabin Fever,
It was a cheesy movie, but I liked spending time with you,
I liked everything about you,
But Honey you were a warning,
I should have known that you would hurt me,
Your just like everyone else,
I can't trust them, and I can't trust you,
You told my secret,
To your work,
I am now embarrassed,
You were a warning,
Jeremy, You have so much talent,
You need to put that you use,
Don't listen to others that put you down,
When I see you,
I see me,
I have made mistakes,
And Babe, your just making my mistakes over,
I don't want you with her,
I want you to be with me,
But sometimes we don't always get what we want,
I was told that you were a warning,
Only a warning,
I was a fool,
You were a warning,
I should have listened,
Babe, you were a warning,
Only a warning

Fever
When I get home from my job
I turn on my t.v.
But I cant keep my mind on the show
When I lay down at night
I dont get no sleep
So I turn on the radio
But, lord, the only thing I hear
Is you whisperin in my ear
The words that you used to say
Well, now the days grow longer
My love grows stronger
And the fever gets worse every day
I got a fever for a girl
Hes got the fever
Oh, hes got the fever
Nothing that a boy can do
When hes got the fever for a girl
Hes got the fever
Oh, hes got the fever
Left this little boy blue
I can remember comin home
See you standin at the stove
With the dishes on the table
Dinner ready to go
Or maybe out to a movie show
Something that youd like to see
Oh, you were my sun in the morning
And my moon at night
When you put your arms around me
Made me fell alright
Well, now the days grow longer
And my love just grows stronger
And the fever gets so bad at night
I got a fever for a girl
Hes got the fever
Oh, hes got the fevernothing that a boy can do
When hes got the fever for a girl
Hes got the fever
Oh, hes got the fever
Left this little boy blue
Its gonna be alright, now
If I can make it to the morning
Im gonna be alright, now
If I can just make it to the morning
Its just this long and lonely nights
Everytime I close my eyes
All I see is her face
Everytime I shut my eyes
All I see is her face
But Im gonna be alright, now
Ill be alright, now
When I shut down all the lights
When I turn off all the lights
When I turn down all the lights
And when I lay my head on the pillow
I cant stop myself in thinking
Baby, where are you tonight?
Where is she tonight?

It's great to have the chance to play a character before he goes to the dark side, or the yellow side if you will. Normally, you don't get that opportunity. The narrative of a movie usually demands that you are that guy from the start.

Uncle Tom's Cabin
Just for the record let's get the story straight
Me and Uncle Tom were fishin' it was gettin'
Pretty late
Out on a cypress limb above the wishin' well
Where they say it got no bottom say it take
You down to Hell
Over in the bushes and off to the right
Come two men talkin' in the pale moonlight
Sheriff John Brady and Deputy Hedge
Haulin' two limp bodies down to the water's edge
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin oh yea
I know a secret that I just can't tell
They didn't see me and Tom in the tree
Neither one believin' what the other could see
Tossed in the bodies let 'em sink on down
To the bottom of the well
Where they'd never be found
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's cabin oh yea
I know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin
Know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin
Know who put the bodies in the wishin' well
Soon as they were gone me & Tom got down
Prayin' real hard that we wouldn't make a sound
Runnin' through the woods back to Uncle Tom's shack
Where the full moon shines through the roof tile cracks
Oh my God Tom who are we gonna tell
The sheriff he belongs in a prison cell
Keep your mouth shut that's what we're gonna do
Unless you wanna wind up in the wishin' well too
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin
Know a secret that I just can't tell
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin
Know who put the bodies, know who put the bodies

Stuff Like That
Stuff llike that
I get a feeling of melochany
Doing stuff like that
Brings back memories
Nostalgia
The way it used to be
The unity and promises
Made by other,
Regarding you and me
Stuff like was once so easy
Wonder people no longer do
Stuff lkke that

Mindset(Short Rondel)
It's my mindset to keep going
Like the tortoise won the racing
Being slow and steady throughout
Though slow I go steady devout
Running firm towards my target
It's my mindset
I'm proud never to lose my game
Unlike the hare that slept with shame
But to win focussed at my goal
To give my best of poetic role..
It's my mindset

Make Believe
Make believe U're a hero, make believe U're a star
Make believe that U're somebody instead of who U really are
Make believe
It's only a movie
U don't need 2 scratch 4 crumbs when U deserve the whole cake
Make believe U're Sidney Poitier, believe, U gotta make believe
U got 2 make believe, U got 2 make believe
Baby, U got 2 make believe it's only a movie
Make believe U're sophisticated, make believe that U're en vogue
Make believe that U're quite wealthy even though
U're so broke U can't pay attention
Baby, U got 2 make believe, U got 2 make believe
Make believe it's only a movie
Make believe U're a star
U got 2 make believe, U got 2 make believe
U got 2 make believe, U got 2 make believe

Close To You
Ah, ladies and gentlemen, I dont know if you realize it,
But tonight youre in for a special treat. no, no, no, not that, not that!
You only get that treat on full moons. besides, I know theres a lot of young people here,
And I would want anybody to...
Last time it happened, grown men where weeping. policemen where turning in their badges.
Oh, I get, I get, everyone was intimidated tonight by all the security precautions, oh.
Well, just remember their motto is protect and serve?
I wanna get
Close to you baby like black on white,
Close to you baby like the coldest of ice,
Close to you baby like a siamese twin,
Close to you baby like Im feeling all right.
I wanna get
Close to you baby,
Well, close to you baby,
Close to you baby,
I dont know what to say or do.
I wanna get
Close to you baby like the sight of your eye?
Close to you baby like the heat is to fire,
Close to you baby close as I can get,
Close to you baby like water is wet.
I wanna get
Close to you baby.
I said close to you baby.
Close to you baby.
Dont know what to say or do.
I wanna get
Close to you till Im feeling all right,
Close to you gonna love you all night,
Close to you in new york city,
I love you so much, woman, you know its a pity.
I wanna get
Close to you baby.
I said close to you baby.
Close to you baby.
Dont know what to say or do.
Well
I wanna closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
I wanna close to you babe
That I dont know what to say or do.
Well, closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
I wanna close to you babe
Oh babe! we love you!
And you make me feel all right
Make me feel all right
Make robbie feel all right
And you make john feel all right
And make jim feel all right
And we wanna love you so much to you
I dont know what to say or do
All right

Closer To Me
(john farrar)
I know that in time I can handle this a little better
But what can I do if your heart wont let her go
There are times I mean everything to you
Life can be so sweet when I do
You know...
You gotta know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
I beg you for the truth but I dont wanna hear it
You pour it all out and I wont go near it
Oh no, oh no, but I believe youre gonna love me again
So Ill try to make it easier till then
You know...
You gotta know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
Are you gonna break away, set yourself free
Let me see the kinder man that I used to see
Make yourself open up, let it all go
If youre really mine again, let this crazy fool know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
I wanna be closer
I wanna go back where we used to be
Oh baby, please get close to me
Get a little bit closer
I wanna be closer
I wanna be closer
I gotta be closer
