By my definition, prayer is consciously hanging out with God. Being with God in a deliberate way.

‘As I argued in my previous book,
‘Some definitions of ‘definition’ in contemporary philosophy’ –
an argument which I hope to pursue
in a following volume, (and I quote) :
‘to define what we mean by ‘definition’
we must first consider
the nature of definition:
can it be itself defined? Is
its definition itself a retreat
from what definition defines? …’
and the wood of academic chairs
creaking as a lecture ends,
from which once the young sap rose
like the hope of definition
dries, decays and dessicates.

A great Friend
The definition of a great
friend is.....
Sticking by you no matter what.
The definition of a great
friend is...
To dry away wet tears when you are you are down
The definition of a great
friend is....
To unstick you, when your struck
The definition of a great
friend is....
To help you through the hard times
The definition of a great
friend is....
To tell you when are wrong, to teach you to do riight.
The Definition of a great
friend is.....
to pray with you through hard times, to give a hand when your in need and hug you and let you see.
The definition of a
great friend is true, The definition of a great friend is you! ! ! ! ! ! !

Vicious Streak
What am I gonna do
I feel like Im on fire
If you only knew
That youre the object of desire
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that youre the only one
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that it wont be long
My aim is true
My vision is clear
My thoughts are crude
Whenever youre near
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that youre the only one
I keep hanging on, keep hanging on
And I swear by God that it wont be long
I keep hanging on
Youve got a vicious streak
For someone so young
Youre like solar flair
In the rising sun
I keep hanging on
I keep hanging on
I keep hanging on
I keep hanging on

Seen Trickin
Seen trickin'.
There is no secret..
Trickin' people are seen.
Because of the economy,
People feel that trickin'...
Is what they today must do,
To pull themselves through.
With a new definition of desperation...
Deliberate even though it demeans.
Every dime they had save for that rainy day,
Seem to have been raided...
By those masquerading,
To say they represent the coming of better days.
Trickin'.
Some just to eat.
They keep on trickin'...
With a losing battle to protect their dignities.
And no longer lost to find a reason in their minds...
How what they do others may define.
They know they no longer lick that finger lickin' chicken.
Nor dip in catsup those french fries yummy good...
To fatten rubbing thighs and lieing about those diets tried.
No longer are these tricks fixin'...
That roast that sits cooling in the kitchen.
Or that oven baked cake,
Grandma used to make.
These folks are trickin'.
Males, females, shemales and 'its'.
Trickin'...
And hustling up profits made to their benefit.
Attempting to keep that lifestyle from a slip to a slide,
Quicker than it is.
Folks don't care about who sees them trick.
Folks care more about keeping up their habits!
Seen trickin'.
There is no secret..
Trickin' people are seen.
Because of the economy,
People feel that trickin'...
Is what they today must do,
To pull themselves through.
With a new definition of desperation...
Deliberate even though it demeans.
Seen trickin' although it sickens them!

Definition
Definition
What does that mean?
The meaning of life
The meaning of who you are
The meaning of our dreams
How can we define?
What all that really means
Is it the definition of?
Life
Dose that mean we can be
Anything we want to be
Or is it simply
Do what you say
And be forever free
Is it the definition of?
Who you are
Accept your fallacies
And be a better
Human being
Is it the definition of?
Our dreams
Dream the impossible
And live up to your dreams
And make them all real
Who really knows?
What it all really means

When You Come Back To Me Again
More info about this song in the song database
Theres a ship out, on the ocean
At the mercy of the sea
Its been tossed about, lost and broken
Wandering aimlessly
And God somehow you know that ship is me
cause theres a lighthouse, in the harbor
Shining faithfully
Pouring its light out, across the water
For this sinking soul to see
That someone out there still believes in me
On a prayer, in a song
I hear your voice and it keeps me hanging on
Raining down, against the wind
Im reaching out til we reach the circles end
When you come back to me again
Theres a moment we all come to
In our own time and our own space
Where all that weve done, we can undo
If our hearts in the right place
On a prayer, in a song
I hear your voice and it keeps me hanging on
Raining down, against the wind
Im reaching out til we reach the circles end
When you come back to me again
And again I see my yesterdays in front of me
Unfolding like a mystery
Youre changing all that is and used to be
On a prayer, in a song
I hear your voice and it keeps me hanging on
Raining down, against the wind
Im reaching out til we reach the circles end
When you come back to me again
When you come back to me again

I Equal To You
Till egotism reigns
I is supreme
Not look'eth beyond it
The powers to look beyond it
Will not be gained
Egotistical approach when shed
The I relegated
Caring you become
For those around
When reciprocal this current
A movement becomes
I will be taken care of
Consciously and sub-consciously
By known and unknown.

This Is My Prayer For You
Peaceful valleys, mountaintops
No dark alleys, or sudden stops
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
Love is calling, starry skies
Always falling, but not for lies
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
Chorus:
May all your sweet dreams go unbroken
May every wish youve ever spoken
Come true
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
Celebrations, true blue friends
Revelations, and a heart that mends
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
Repeat chorus
Arms that welcome, doors opened wide
All your loved ones, gathered by your side
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
May all your days be filled with laughter
May all your prayers be quickly answered
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you

It Seems Deliberate To Soften The Blows
It seems deliberate to soften the blows,
When facts are revealed and the truth is exposed.
And the advocating of attacks on those picked,
Have been publicly admitted...
To have those accusing to be in the midst of it.
It seems deliberate to soften the blows,
When opposition discover themselves as foes...
And not the ones they have depicted to be,
Of criminal intent...
As they wish others to believe and perceive.
It seems deliberate to soften the blows,
When it has been revealed and the public knows...
Who has been incompetent!
With a sleazing of an integrity,
Undercover but eventually discovered.
To then have themselves excused...
With a forgiveness wished to be given.
And alibis used.
As a defense mechanism,
To make senseless their attacks...
They were prepared to abuse others without the facts

Deeds Done They Do To Leave
Don't you believe people make mistakes?
And should be forgiven for those they make?
'Sure.
I've made quite a few myself.
And not one did I make,
Was an intention to undermine someone else,
Consciously.
Nor did I,
With a premeditation done...
Inflict sorrow on anyone.
Those are not 'mistakes'.
That is a remorse received for a thing done,
Now bringing feelings of guilt and grief.
Feelings of guilt that brings one grief,
Is a payback.
And those are divinely distributed.
Mistakes can be corrected.
Heartaches and 'breaks'...
Are way beyond my jurisdiction to mend.
They require much prayer and faith.
And that is what I have relied on to keep my head up,
To protect from those of destructive forces.
So those who choose to say,
They should be forgiven for making mistakes.
And expect a forgiveness done...
Are 'consciously' approving their own devious activities.
That is the way I see deeds done they do to leave.
With expectations to continue their deceptions.
After an appropriate forgiveness has been delivered.'
Those are not mistakes.
And there is quite a difference.'

Always The 'Who' That Gets One Through
Those who set out to ruin lives,
Consciously.
To then awaken with guilt and expectations,
Consciously.
That an awaiting for a forgiveness given to exonerate them,
Is not on the minds of the ones...
Who have spent time on the other end,
Healing and mending from wounds consciously inflicted...
By those who assume a skipping away from their deeds done,
Is the same wish by someone who has forgiven to forget.
Especially when the suffering with pain is involved.
People may be seen to be completely 'restored' from sorrows.
If recovery actually is done to come.
However...
It was their faith and determination alone,
With a gritting of teeth that got them off their knees.
To remember every detail vividly,
As to how, when, where, why and who...
Put them there in the first place.
And it is ALWAYS...
Always the 'who' that gets one through a process,
Never to be forgotten.
'It's so good to see you healthy and fit.
I am glad you have forgiven me.
You have...haven't you?
Say something.
Why are you smiling? '
~No particular reason.
Just thinking of how I would have handled this,
Years ago.~
'Handled what? '
~My thoughts.~

Sonnet: On Prayer
The pow’r of prayer can astonish you;
Through prayer, we can speak to God each day.
There isn’t a thing that prayer cannot do!
A miracle can happen, if you pray.
A prayer ought to come deep from your heart;
God hears your prayer if you can just kneel;
Saying a prayer is a faithful’s art!
A prayer must be fervent in appeal.
God answers prayers said by righteous souls;
Through Mary, we can win favors from God;
A hymn of praise or thanksgiving has roles;
When more than two can pray, God will reward.
A prayer can change fate of sinners all;
A prayer breaks sin’s invisible wall!

Prayer For Peace
We got something don't you know it's true?
We got something don't feel it too?
We got something, we got something to do
Not a mushy line that I'm pushing on you
Just another blue-note sung slightly out of tune
We got something, we got something to do
Prayer for peace, prayer for peace
Prayer for peace.
It may appear that we've been sleeping through our years
And we've been living in an imaginary world
But we know what
We know what we got
And if the choice was your of love eternally
Or destruction of the world by some atomic energy
The you'd know what
You know what we got
Prayer for peace, prayer for peace
Prayer for peace. (repeat)
We got got got, we got got got, we got we got something
We got we got got got, we got got got, we got we got something
Prayer for peace, prayer for peace
Prayer for peace. (repeat)

Prayer For You
All I see is the truth now
Thats all I want you to know
That Ill never turn my back on you
And leave you out there on your own
I could never hide my feelings
I could never let you fall
And I want you to remember
All the love that Ive found
Oh, I say a prayer
A prayer for you
Oh, for you
I could never make a promise
Id only break it in the end
Then youre looking for the answers
Youd never trust in me again
I could never watch you suffer
I could never let you down
And I hope you soon discover
All the truth that Ive now found
Oh, I say a prayer
A prayer for you
Oh, for you
Oh, I say a prayer
A prayer for you
Oh, for you
