Alas, how quickly the gratitude owed to the dead flows off, how quick to be proved a deceiver.

Corn Grinders
O little mouse, why dost thou cry
While merry stars laugh in the sky?
Alas! alas! my lord is dead!
Ah, who will ease my bitter pain?
He went to seek a millet-grain
In the rich farmer's granary shed;
They caught him in a baited snare,
And slew my lover unaware:
Alas! alas! my lord is dead.
O little deer, why dost thou moan,
Hid in thy forest-bower alone?
Alas! alas! my lord is dead!
Ah! who will quiet my lament?
At fall of eventide he went
To drink beside the river-head;
A waiting hunter threw his dart,
And struck my lover through the heart.
Alas! alas! my lord is dead.
O little bride, why dost thou weep
With all the happy world asleep?
Alas! alas! my lord is dead!
Ah, who will stay these hungry tears,
Or still the want of famished years,
And crown with love my marriage-bed?
My soul burns with the quenchless fire
That lit my lover's funeral pyre:
Alas! alas! my lord is dead.

No One That Is Living Has A Quality Owed
No one that is living,
Has a quality owed.
No one that is giving,
Has a quality owed.
No one who is wishing,
Has a quality owed...
With nothing less,
Than solid gold.
With expectations,
Another holds...
Delivered and quick to give.
No one is living,
To demand and get.
No one is living,
Just to benefit.
No one is living...
Just to sit!
And to get.
No one that is living,
Has a quality owed.
No one that is giving,
Has a quality owed.
No one who is wishing,
Has a quality owed...
With nothing less,
Than solid gold.
With expectations,
Another holds...
Delivered and quick to give.
No one is living,
To demand and to get.
No one is living,
Just to benefit.
No one is living,
Just to sit and sit.
No matter what it is...
To receive without a risk.
And if they don't,
They throw a fit.
No one is living,
To demand and to get.
No one is living,
Just to benefit.
No one is living,
Just to sit and sit.
No matter what it is...
To receive without a risk.
And if they don't,
They throw a fit.
No one that is living,
Has a quality owed.
No one that is giving,
Has a quality owed.
No one who is wishing,
Has a quality owed...
With nothing less,
Than solid gold.
To demand and magically get.

The Passion
If they only owned love, shown love, grown love, like this before
If they only knew love, true love, to love, like this before
If they only gave love, saved love, brave love, like this before
If they only called love, love love, called love, like this before
If theyd only showed love, they owed love, owed love, like this before
If they only showed love, they owed love, owed love, like this before
If they only knew love, true love, to love, like this before
If they only gave love, saved love, brave love, like this before
If they only showed love, they owed love, they owed love, like this before
La la la la la, la la la la, la la la la la, La la la la la...
Like this before
If they ever showed love, they owed love, they owed love, they owed love
If they ever showed love, they owed love, they owed love, like this before
Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah
La la la la la, la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la...
If they only claimed love, claimed love, claimed love
They maintened love
Instead they drained love, stained love
They didnt control love, my soul loves a whole love, like this before
Received the same love
If they didnt regret love, forget love, say they never met love
If they will love, dont kill love, just be still love (x4)

Deciver Of Fools
He told the tale so many times
About the dream not meant to be
In a world of the free
He plays with your mind
As faith for the future faded fast
He grows strong with their displeasure
It sets him free
Deceiver of hearts
Deceiver of fools
He rules with fear
Deceiver of hearts
Deceiver of fools
He rules again
He feeds on fear
Poisons the truth
To gain their faith
To lead the way
To a world of decay
He rules your heart
He will sell your soul to the grave
No hesitation he'll make
He belongs to the dark
Please awake
And see the truth
He can only be
If you believe what he tells you
Remember who you are
What you stand for
And there will always be a way
In my heart there is a place
In my heart there is a trace
Of a small fire burning
A sheltering ray shines through this night
Although it 's small, it's bright
But darkness is lurking
He will sell your soul to bitterness and cold
Fear him
Deceiver of hearts
Deceiver of fools
He rules with fear
Deceiver of hearts
Deceiver of fools
Shall he rule again?

I Couldn’t Be More Happy Than If I Was Dead!
You kiss my hair
& my hair is happy.
You kiss my skin
& my skin is happy.
You kiss
even the littlest bit
of me
& I
am
happy.
You kiss
my fingertips
and my little toe
is at once
envious
says: “Quick...quick
kiss me too! ! ! ”
You kiss my little toe
and my fingertips are instantly jealous.
“Quickly! Quickly! ”
they say
“Kiss us again! ”
You kiss
my lips
and my heart
is happiness.
My soul
swoons.
I couldn’t be
more happy
than if i was dead
and in Heaven
itself!

You think you’re owed a living?
It is time for more gratitude,
So quit taking and begin giving

Anonymous Letter Left At The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier, Memorial Day 2010
Upon this day of poignant reflection, we are humbled by your sacrifice;
No measure of recompense doth any possess which may serve to satisfice-
Our very liberty hath been your precious gift-your dutiful life, its price-
Our humble gratitude is all we have, no manner of quittance would suffice!
Our Forefathers advented Liberty, yet your loss saw to its abiding;
Countless men and women still, much like you, cease its subsiding;
Your life of honor and duty, for country-this shall ne'er perish-
In our hearts and minds, upon this day and all others, we cherish
Every solitary liberate moment, which you have given and ensured;
The most selfless sacrifice-your safeguard guaranteed Liberty endured!
'I can not say and I will not say that he is dead - He is just away! ' **
You live still; Your dutiful life inspires men and women to this very day;
The obligation owed to you is immeasurable-words may ne'er convey
Our gratitude for your service and sacrifice-though we endeavor all we may!

Imagination
So you're trying to make connection, you heard whispers in the hall
She'll be out again this evening, when you come around to call
So, you dodge the lady-killer, who came creepin' 'cross the floor
Then you caught up in a whirlwind, you got blown right out the door
Oh, yes it was a whirlwind, sweet romance was on your side
If you wanna dance on my face, you must tell me why you lied
Imagination is a powerful deceiver
When you try to believe her just a little too much
Imagination is a powerful deceiver
I'll go out of my mind, if i'm losing your touch
I see a look of recognition, so well hidden in your eye
And your peepshow regulations, they just don't seem to apply,
Well, did i see you in the circus, in the ring without a hand
Now you think that you can curse us, steal the show and stop the band
Oh, you can follow your dreams, oh but please don't lead me on,
If you wanna bleed in my face, you were here and now you're gone
Imagination is a powerful deceiver
When you try to believe her just a little too much
Imagination is a powerful deceiver
I'll go out of my mind, if i'm losing your touch
I'll go out of my mind, if i'm losing your touch
I'll go out of my mind, if i'm losing your touch

Fish With Fritter Patties
Please don't say I'm uninvited.
I came to leave some peace.
And you want to play deceiver.
Please don't say I'm uninvited.
I came to leave some peace.
And you want to play deceiver.
I don't want to lay more battles down to fight.
I rather you fry some fish...
And we can sit to reminisce,
Tonight.
Let's forgive and turn things wrong and make them right.
Discuss like adults with results that's eye to eye.
With a meal you cook to hook me.
To get me whipped for whoopee.
Let's forgive and turn things wrong and make them right.
You know I'm satisfied when you hear me sigh!
But when the money gets funny,
You're nowhere by my side.
Please don't say I'm uninvited.
I came to leave some peace.
And you want to play deceiver.
Please don't say I'm uninvited.
I came to leave some peace.
And you want to play deceiver.
To have me chase your beaver.
'WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU SAYING? '
Please don't say I'm uninvited.
I brought some fish to fry.
With whoopee booted on my mind!
'You are sick and nasty!
I will fry the fish with fritter patties.'

Quick
Quick to dismiss,
That which is misunderstood.
And quick to do this often.
Because one can and could.
Quick to define something wrong.
Quick to complain about it,
All day long.
Quick to sit to nitpick and pull apart.
As if this quickness was intended from the start.
Quick to resist a comprehension that exist.
Quick to allow a temper tantrum fit.
Quick to whip up excuses...
And split to disappear.
Quick to discover the nearest exit!
That's what troublemakers do...
When they stir up others in raging fits!

I Am Quiet In Gratitude To God
I am quiet in gratitude to God
Saved again
Near tears in tears
Grateful to God
And trying within
To let the Gratitude be everything
And forget for a time
The fear that will return again-
Quiet in Gratitude to God
And wanting that Gratitude to be everything.

Be Quick Or Be Dead
(dickinson/gers) 3:23
Covered in sinners and dripping
With gilt
Making you money from slime
And from filth
Parading your bellies in ivory towers
Investing our lives in your schemes
And your powers
You got to watch them - be quick
Or be dead
Snake eyes in heaven - the thief
In your head
Youve got to watch them - be quick
Or be dead
Snake eyes in heaven - the thief
In your head...
Be quick!
Or be dead!
Be quick!
Or be dead
See... whats ruling all our lives
See... whos pulling the strings...
I bet you wont fall on your face...
Your belly will hold you in place
The serpent is crawling inside of
Your ear
He says you must vote for what you
Want to hear
Dont matter whats wrong as long as youre
Alright
So pull yourself stupid and rob
Yourself blind

Qualifications for gratitude
To load off what is not required,
What is in excess or a burden,
What turned stale or left over,
Or what cannot be carried with
Will not account for gratitude.
What is given for a gain,
From fear or under duress
Also will not count for gratitude.
To bequeath at the end of life
Also does not earn gratitude.

Last Spring
THIS morning at the door
I heard the Spring.
Quickly I set it wide
And, welcoming,
'Come in, sweet Spring,' I cried,
'The winter ash, long dried,
Waits but your breath to rise
On phantom wing.'
A brown leaf shivered by,
A soulless thing--
My heart in quick dismay
Forgot to sing--
Twisted and grim it lay,
Kin to the ghost-ash gray,
Dead, dead--strange herald this
Of jocund Spring!
I spurned it from the door.
I longed that Spring
Should come with song and glow
And rush of wing,
Not this, not this!--But O
Dead leaf, a year ago
You were the dear first-born
Of Hope and Spring!

River Feeling
River feeling is
As simple as
Closing your eyes
For a moment.
Everything flows like river
River feeling is
As smooth as
Everything after
The first step.
Everything flows like river
River feeling is
easy as forgetting
Walking boots.
Everything flows like river
River feeling is
nice as
iron ties
Coming off.
Everything flows like river
Everything flows like river
Everything flows like river
Everything is good and flows
like river

Fabled Gunslingers
Life choices firmly fatally made...
the legendary quick and the dead.
Who will be fabled gunslingers...
stepping out at stake out Ok Curial?
Quickly choose your coveted ground
draw skillfully out gunned quickly lose.
Who are the strong ones?
Some are frontier far stronger bred.
Rough Riders others choose not to be.
Some are strong enough to choose.
Strong enough to make a stand.
Strong enough to win or lose.
Strong enough to die drawn gun in hand
right or wrong stamping a mark upon the land.
Strong enough born to choose win or lose
infamous how they will live how they will die.
Mortuary postmortem prognosis
‘died from a case of lead poisoning’.

Gratitude is our most direct line to God and the angels. If we take the time, no matter how crazy and troubled we feel, we can find something to be thankful for. The more we seek gratitude, the more reason the angels will give us for gratitude and joy to exist in our lives.
