You will find as you grow older that courage is the rarest of all qualities to be found in public life.

As we grow older our bad qualities make us younger.
Everyone Is Growing Older
Between warring Countries hostilities do not last
And 'tis true your friend of tomorrow may be your foe of the past
But life goes on as usual that's how it seems to be
And we make friends with the old foe to fight our new common enemy
And everyone grows older but few grow wise and gray
For we still glorify the folly of war in the World of today
And we find things in common when we have a common foe
But as we do grow older few of us do wiser grow,
We celebrate war heroes to die in war is not seen as a sin
And when one war it is over another war begin
To use the name of God in war seems hypocritical that would seem fair to say
And to Moses fifth commandment respect we never pay
Crimes of hate and xenophobia sad to say are on the rise
And everyone is growing older but so few are growing wise.

The Real Answer
The answer lies deeper
Than the cut of the blade
Your answer is found
in the heart of the brave
That courage is found
In the will to forgive
Courage is found
In the art of your gift
search deep enough
And you will find
Something not worthy
Of leaving behind
Because you, my friend
Should not be afraid
Because you, my friend
are one of the brave
Your life may be surrounded
By purple skies
But you can find the will
To not run and hide
This life you have
must be embraced
Do not run
Stand off face to face
Again and again
Just continue to try
And i promise one day
You'll get your chance to fly

In Courage
In courage-you find
no fear
and in courage-no weakness
does appear
In courage-steps toward
danger taken
and in courage-strength
within awaken
In courage- a hero
takes shape
and in courage- the villain
can't escape
In courage-there is a call
to duty
and in courage-out of ugliness
comes beauty

As I grow older and older, And totter toward the tomb, I find that I care less and less, Who goes to bed with whom.

Youre The One
(with jennifer holliday)
When I was a child
I cried on mamas shoulder
She would look at me and say:
When you grow older
You will come to know
The joy and love of one good man
Everything will come in time
If you believe it
Anything you truly want
You can echive it
Picture the love youll find
With one good man
Some day a price will come your way
Hell smile at you and say
Hes waited all his life
For someone like you
And if the love is real
Within you heart youll feel
Im yours for life
Cuz youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one for me
Many years have past away since mama told me
I hadnt find a man
To love, to have and hold me
There where many men
But not of them one good man
I began to dout that I would
Find my true love
But then at one noon it happened
I found you, love
You were like a dream come true
You were that one good man
Some day a price will come your way
Hell smile at you and say
Hes waited all his life
For someone like you
And if the love is real
Within you heart youll feel
Im yours for life
Cuz youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one for me
Its true, I knew from that day on
My lonely days were gone
Those lonely tears Ive cried
Since you are by my side
Now and forever more
Youll be with me
And we will love
You are my everything
When I was a child I cried
On mamas shoulder
She would look at me and say:
When you grow older
Youll find a man to love
And now I see that
Youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one
Youre the one for me

In My Arms You're Held to Hold
Show me I'm the one,
You can care for.
And...
You will be that one,
I will always cared for.
Show me I'm the one,
You love,
And adore.
And...
You will be that one,
Adored and loved much more.
You will never find your life lived lonely.
Never will you be,
Alone in desperate needing.
You will never find my shoulder cold.
Not one felt from me.
This you can believe...
As we grow older.
In my arms you're held,
To hold!
Just show me I'm the one,
You can care for.
And...
You will be that one,
I will always cared for.
In my arms you're held,
To hold!
This you can believe...
As we grow older.
In my arms you're held,
To hold!

Coffee Courage
The bitter coffee kicked;
I shook and then I licked
My lips and gave a sigh.
Shattered eyes encouraged,
I nearly had envisaged
Waking up an eye.
Another sip; a jolt –
Not unlike a bolt
Of wattage from the mains.
My sockets under strain,
I tried it once again:
Aha! The light, the searing white –
My God, the bloody pain!

Older They Grow But Not Up
Older they grow,
But not up!
Many never experience a maturity.
Raised on entertaining limited thoughts.
And few have abilities,
To comprehend little of what they read.
Or take the responsibility,
To hold themselves accountable...
For actions begun and those they leave.
Older they grow,
But not up!
And demands they make,
To satisfy their spoiled ways.
Since no one around them wants to hear them fuss.
Realizing not one of those fussers who also cuss,
Wants to take a position,
To make a decisive decision.
Since accusations are prioritized in their lives lived,
As a must.
And expectations are less for them.
For those exposed to them growing older...
Knowing these minds have no time left.
For them to show a growing up,
With a thoughtfulness.
Older they may grow...
But for them it sure is not up!

Gurdjieff
“You are both a wolf
and a lamb.
If you do not stay awake
the wolf will devour
the lamb.”
Oh you, the Living and the Dead!
Both those who earn
and you who claim by right
your daily bread.
Encourage the few
they will become the many.
Encourage the poor
they will reach out for more.
Encourage the young
they will fail to grow up.
Encourage the old
they will grow older.
Why do so many
in public life
wear nametags
nowadays?
“In case they forget
who you are.”

Little Friend
Manhunt to find your daughter
Buried underneath the water
Now they consult a psychic
Find how much I like it
And now I've found a little friend
It's too fast
This won't last
And to touch
Hurts too much
And now I've found a little friend
And now it's just you and me
Borrow one and we will make three
I say we steal one more
Just like we did once before
And now I thought I told her
That she won't get much older
And now I've found a little friend
And now it makes no difference
Cause I am not quite in yet
And now its on the table
Cause she's perfectly able
And now I've found a little friend

What Gives You Courage
Without fear there cannot be courage
Fear drives the unthinkable out of us
What gives you courage when there is none?
What gives you courage to get out of bed?
What gives you courage to drive when you know it's dangerous?
What gives you courage to succeed?
What gives you courage to survive?
What gives you courage to strive?
People have courage to live for their children
People have courage to live for themselves
People have courage to live for hope
People have courage because they believe
People have courage to not give up
Fear is not the essence of life
But a free soul not tamed
Courage is the journey of your heart
Guided by strength
On a path of untamed obstacles
Let courage guide you
As you begin your quest

To Still Have The Courage
to still have the courage
to go on living
despite
all the odds of a life
that seems
to refuse life's
limited offers
of survival
to dream of you
and still keep on dreaming
of you
when reality
on the other hand
flatly tells
that you were gone
that in fact
you were gone
i wake up
only to find out that
life is cruel
and insensitive
courage tells
to go on
living life
both as a duty
and a right
that life is beautiful
that courage
is indefatigable

The rarest of all things in American life is charm. We spend billions every year manufacturing fake charm that goes under the heading of public relations. Without it, America would be grim indeed.

O Child Of Mine Grow No-Older
Place your head upon my shoulder
O child of mine grow no-older.
Less life's platitudes make you stronger.
Stay with me a little longer!
Misfortune' rings her lowly bell
She's waiting there to here you, yell.
Solemnly she's genial but who should tell.
She'd wish all that's virtuous smote in hell!
O child of mine grow no-older.
Than the stone Jesus Christ moreover!
Newborn, bold-over...

Selfish
When we are young,
we are selfish
and want all the fruit on the tree.
As we grow older
we respect everything that is there,
and only want a little
of what stands before us there.
We become unselfish
and the word is replaced with share.
As we grow, older
all we want to do is share.

Have you got the courage?
Have you got the courage?
To deal with personal baggage
Have you got the courage?
To embark on a new voyage
It is crystalline common knowledge
Many a woman born with courage
Has had piffling or no privileges
To travel through life’s hideous passage
And stand stubbornly by her message
Highs but not the lows, If you one of those
Have you got the courage, to end your marriage?
Have you got the courage, to face your fears?
Or experiment with new ideas
Have you got the courage, to say you love me?
And maturely accept if I glee or flee
Have you got the courage, to repair all self inflicted damage
Before your life becomes wastage
Have you got the courage, to learn a new language?
Can you manage with new knowledge?
Have you got the courage, to admit your gruesome rage?
Instead of acting like an actress on stage
Courage comes with age
When priority is no more image
Courage comes with change
Evolving from leadership shortage
In life, at this stage
Courage is something you must engage
It must be clearly visible in every page

Break Up The Family
The strange logic in your clumsiest line
(it stayed, it stayed) it stayed emblazoned on my mind
You say, break up the family
And lets begin to live our lives
I want to see all my friends tonight
It wasnt youth, it wasnt life
Born old, sadly wise
Resigned (well, we were)
To ending our lives
Im so glad to grow older
To move away from those awful times
I want to see all my friends tonight
Yes, you found love, but you werent
At peace with your life
Home late, full of hate
Despise the ties that bind
Im so glad to grow older
To move away from those younger years
Im in love for the first time
And I dont feel bad
Let me see all my old friends
Let me put my arms around them
Cause I really do love them
Now does that sound mad ?
Captain of games, solid framed
I stood on the touchline
Hailstones, driven home
In a car - no brakes ? I dont mind
Im so glad to grow older
To move away from those darker years
Oh, Im in love for the first time
And I dont feel bad
So wish me luck my friends
Goodbye
So wish me luck again
Goodbye
Wish me luck my friends
Goodbye
Mmm... wish me luck, my friends
Goodbye
Ahh...
Ahh...

Anyone's Courage
Courage is something any one can achieve
It can happen so fast if you just believe
Believe in yourself and you'll be suprised
your more brave then you ever realized
Courage is something hidin inside
It makes you stronger than the highest tide
Courage means you can face your fears
That you're not afraid to shed some tears
In life without fear you can never be brave
You can't rescue a princess if there's no one to save
Life is a balance, like dark and light
There can be no wrong if there is no right
Getting courage isn't to hard to do
Look deep inside and you'll find it too
