Sept. 11 represented a terrorist attack aimed at destroying everything that America stands for - our freedoms and our way of life.

Wake Up America
Wake up America, Why can’t you see,
An evil is pursuing both you and me,
We must wake up, I issue this plea,
Nations are falling, for all to see.
To conquer the world, is evils desire,
To take away freedoms, for all they acquire,
Not only for us, but their own they require,
To control your life, is their desire.
Wake up America, not later but now,
Religion is used, as their golden plow,
To take your freedoms, to make you bow,
The freedom that’s yours, they will not allow
A religion of many, it’s theirs to choose,
A right that’s fair which they should not loose,
The right to worship, but not to excuse,
A terrorist action and a religion they misuse
Wake up America, before it’s too late,
For one’s you love, and children’s fate,
To choose your life, you cannot abate,
For the sword is thrust, At America’s fate.

We want to look at how we would respond because, as hard as we work to prevent terrorist attacks here North America, if we have a catastrophic terrorist attack, it is the military that is going to have to go in at the request of civilian authorities.

In responding to a terrorist attack, there are only two choices - take the fight to the enemy or wait until they hit you again. In my estimation, America chose the first.

If we had a terrorist attack, the way the people respond is going to determine whether that attack is just a tragedy or whether that attack becomes an all-out disaster.

My Family ‘America’
Our Forefathers knew what they were doing
When they spent hours writing America’s freedoms
We celebrate with bombs bursting in air
Taking pride in the red, white, and blue that flows everywhere
Solder boy protecting and taking up arms
Warding off anyone who wants to do Americans harm
America, we are the home of the brave and carry it with pride
Known all over the world for being the home of the free with God on our side
The wall, a remembrance for those who died
A memorial for those who fought in a war and lost their lives
Our Military will always be the ones to give their all
Making sure our Country will stand in pride and never fall
Graceful eagle in peaceful flight soaring into the great divine
Lady Liberty standing with her light a shine
Liberty bell rings across the land with freedom sounds
Just a reminder to America’s family with prideful abound
God will stand beside us…and pull us through
No matter what another Nation or cowards may do
For America we are free to be who we want to be
And the terrorist who hates us has no place in our society
Please remember that September day
When America was shaken in an unthinkable way
For the terrorist even made Heavenly Angels cry
When strangers in planes took away innocent lives
What America means to me…
As a Father who protects us from unwelcome Strangers
As a Mother who nurtures and worries about the dangers
As a Friend they are always there when you need them.
She is the greatest of all Nations and a blessing to be born in…

But I do think it's unwise, and it - to build a mosque at the site where 3,000 Americans lost their lives as a result of a terrorist attack. And I think to me it demonstrates that the - that Washington, the White House, the administration, the President himself seems to be disconnected from the mainstream of America.

America
Written by: neil diamond
Far
Weve been travelling far
Without a home
But not without a star
Free
Only want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to a dream
On the boats and on the planes
Theyre coming to america
Never looking back again
Theyre coming to america
Home, dont it seem so far away
Oh, were travelling light today
In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm
Home, to a new and a shiny place
Make our bed, and well say grace
Freedoms light burning warm
Freedoms light burning warm
Everywhere around the world
Theyre coming to america
Every time that flags unfurled
Theyre coming to america
Got a dream to take them there
Theyre coming to america
Got a dream theyve come to share
Theyre coming to america
Theyre coming to america
Theyre coming to america
Theyre coming to america
Theyre coming to america
Today, today, today, today, today
My country tis of thee
(today)
Sweet land of liberty
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)

America
(Francis Scott Key)
Oh, say, can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched were so
Gallantly streaming?
America, America, America
America, America, America
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh, say, does that star
Spangled banner yet wave
Over the land of the free
And the home of the brave!
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America
ooohhh

We have to attack those things which stand in the way of America progress. And what stands in the way of American progress right now is the federal government.
Women are allowed more freedoms and we're fighting for more freedoms, we're experiencing more freedoms won.
Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve. referring to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon

Once There, Now Gone
People crying, others dieing.
A hectic mess, already with press.
America's rejected, terrorist detected.
War at hand, we had no plan.
Towers strong and tall,
Once there, now gone.
Tough watch dogs tore down,
By something so small.
America's here, filled with fear.
People try to speak, but are seen as weak.
Strong as a nation, undeserving and wrong.
America's once there, now gone.

Once the attacks occur, as we learned on Sept. 11, it is too late. It makes little sense to deprive ourselves of an important, and legal, means to detect and prevent terrorist attacks while we are still in the middle of a fight to the death with al Qaeda.
The 19 hijackers that came over here to commit the attack on Sept. 11, there were those that were at the bottom of the line. There were those who were the principal conspirators. There were those who were the pilot. Everybody has a role.
