They call it The New Avengers but it's really the old Avengers with new people except for me, looking rather fat and rather old.

It doesn't work that way, you know, because most parts that you think you'd do well, most other people don't. So they offer you something - The Avengers is a good example... I fitted into that because I came from that sort of background. It's not even acting.

If I were dead
'IF I were dead, you'd sometimes say, Poor Child!'
The dear lips quiver'd as they spake,
And the tears brake
From eyes which, not to grieve me, brightly smiled.
Poor Child, poor Child!
I seem to hear your laugh, your talk, your song.
It is not true that Love will do no wrong.
Poor Child!
And did you think, when you so cried and smiled,
How I, in lonely nights, should lie awake,
And of those words your full avengers make?
Poor Child, poor Child!
And now, unless it be
That sweet amends thrice told are come to thee,
O God, have Thou no mercy upon me!
Poor Child!

Was Battered, And Bruised
For the late jimmy
They said I was too slow,
Wondered when i'd learn,
Though they never taught me.
Said I was rude to matters of principle,
And read my elegy before my epilogue.
Battered my weary spirit - and will,
Tore my single soul into shreds,
All I managed was barely a whisper - Oh my God!
By my very own that i loved,
whose very blood flows red like venom,
in my dark withered veins,
Was left for the double edged streets,
Lessons in the offing-cruel to the Dogs,
But now I stand on my two legs,
Like I never dreamt before,
Radiating illuminating strength,
Bettered by the bruises of battering,
And shaped by the avengers of yester'morrow,
By whom I was battered and bruised.

Hymn to Aristogeiton and Harmodius
Wreathed in myrtle, my sword I'll conceal
Like those champions devoted and brave,
When they plunged in the tyrant their steel,
And to Athens deliverance gave.
Beloved heroes! your deathless souls roam
In the joy breathing isles of the blest;
Where the mighty of old have their home -
Where Achilles and Diomed rest.
In fresh myrtle my blade I'll entwine,
Like Harmodious, the gallant and good,
When he made at the tutelar shrine
A libation of Tyranny's blood.
Ye deliverers of Athens from shame!
Ye avengers of Liberty's wrongs!
Endless ages shall cherish your fame
Embalmed in their echoing songs!

The Peasants' Revolt
THRO' the mists of years,
Thro' the lies of men,
Your bloody sweat and tears,
Your desperate hopes and fears
Reach us once again,
Brothers, who long ago,
For life's bitter sake,
Toiled and suffered so,
Robbery, insult, blow,
Rope and sword and stake:
Toiled and suffered, till
It burst, the brightening hope,
'Might and right' and 'will and skill,'
That scorned, and does, and will,
Sword and stake and rope!
Wat and Jack and John,
Tyler, Straw, and Ball,
Souls that faltered not,
Hearts like white iron hot,
Still we hear your call!
Yes, your 'bell is rung,'
Yes, for 'now is time!'
Come hither, every one,
Brave ghosts whose day's not done,
Avengers of old Crime,
Come and lead the way,
Hushed, implacable,
Suffering no delay,
Forgetting not that day
Dreadful, hateful, fell.
When the liar King,
The liar Gentlemen,
Wrought that foulest thing,
Robbing, murdering,
Men who trusted them!
Come and lead the way,
Hushed, implacable.
What shall stop us, say,
On that day, our day? —
Not unloosened hell!

Early Works - TV Madness
You sit with eyes glued to the screen
watching a little beam
in a box
that talks.
Your eyes go perpendicular
and a haze comes over you
the TV madness has got through.
The haze then forms into shapes
of Coronation Street and Ben Casey
as an operation begins on Ena by Kildare
while the Invisible Man sits unnoticed in a chair.
When the TV goes funny,
you hit it like hell
afraid of missing Alf Garnet’s famous yell.
Then comes The Man In The Suitcase
who has such a squeeze
and is nearly blown away
by a Laurel and Hardy sneeze.
The posh blundering Avengers are back once more,
but need help from The Man From Uncle to open the door.
After this tumbling torso, you see,
you turn into a schizophrenic like me,
with perpendicular eyeballs
pink and blue stripes on your chest.
Don’t go to the Doctors,
as there is no cure for TV madness.

I call it love
Some people call it obsession
I call it love
Some people call it a confession
I call it love
Some people call it torture
I call it love
Some people call it murder
I call it love
Some people call it a new life
I call it love
Some people call it death
I call it love
Some people call it suicide
I call it on love...

Ghost of Paris
Fauvist moon smooth like Newton
Relative without warning
Nothing shall stop the coming cubes
Ulysses talks a new language
Sate painters in café haven
Change the motif of dragons
Avengers of amethyst poetry
Language of the future laughs
Choreographed in splinters of war
Stravinsky dances without melody
Gertrude Stein sighs like a panther
Art fornicates with Paris
Form relinquishes like deco stars
Boundaries melt into stage sets
Embrace the modern deluge
Freedom and choice celebrate
Boundless sea of color
Surrealism tides of the Mediterranean
Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, Braque
Cezanne was a great forest
Time has spoken like a canvass
All are blessed and punished
Some walk the left bank still
Seine River flows forever
The ghost of Paris haunts us all

We Got Two Jealous Agains
I thought you were the one when I heard holidays in the sun come
From your bedroom but my mind started to stray when I saw youth of today
Mixed with your singles whats with this underdog
And this gnr ep? I dont think hanoi rocks
And I dont want your paul stanley next to my subhumans gatefold
Im not trying to be a jerk but I dont think this record mergers gonna work
But when I saw christ on parade, and this is boston, not la
I knew you were the one
I knew you were for me when I saw the first vandals ep
I found snfu and cool I owned that record too
Seems we both had social unrest and sung shes a pervert nurse
We both had the first pressing of how could hell be any worse
So now we got two earth ads and we got two killing jokes
We got two adolescents two penis and two the crews
We got two someone got their head kicked ins
We got two declines, two damaged
And two jelous agains, I knew you were the one
When I saw machine gun etiquette
I knew you were the one when I saw the peace war comp
We got two articles of faith, 31 minutes of group sex
We got a couple of avengers, and a pair of out of steps
We got 2 what we do is secret, we got 2 tsols
We got 2 freedom of choices we got two three hits from
Hells
I knew you were the one

Follow the water
Follow the water
That follows the divine offering
Follow the womb that follows
The birth of a beautiful thing seen
Follow the dead body placed
Behind the place of purification
Follow the beatified soul
That will freely guide you
Follow the avengers of
Dead black sons gone soon
Follow the existence
Of your body and soul
The double make of you
Follow, follow, and follow
Where the poets go
Alone the lease traveled road
Follow the midnight cat hunting the darkness
It knows not where it goes put is up for the going
There is an adventure there
Follow the children concern with fighting
Impotent children of revolt against their own
Follow the justice slow to fill in Americus
Follow the battles of the black man
Follow the news of the pillars
Of given devotion in a famish year
Follow the two arms of the scale
That will reckon the weight of your sins in your life time
Follow the wickedness of the looker on
Who will do nothing to upset the cart of racism
And thwart all our enemies that rot the American soul
Follow the male love that in time will prevail
Against the selfish instruments of those who hate
Follow the followers who follow this poem.

What's wrong with our world?
Why are people abused
Why are people shot
Why do people commit suicide
Why are people anorexic and bulimic
Why do people care more about money than family
Why do people call themselves fat or ugly
Why are kids kidnapped and killed
Why do people die
Why do people tell you they love you and take it back
Why do people hurt each other
Why are people raped
Why do people cut themselves
Why do people hate their lives
Why do teenagers get pregnant
Why do people call each other names
Why are people raciest
Why are people depressed
Why are people put in mental hospitals
Why do peole do drugs
Why do people cuss
Why do people not care what happens to them
Why do people care what others think of them
What's wrong with our world

Psalm 08
Aug. 14. 1653.
O Jehovah our Lord how wondrous great
And glorious is thy name through all the earth?
So as above the Heavens thy praise to set
Out of the tender mouths of latest bearth,
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou
Hast founded strength because of all thy foes
To stint th'enemy, and slack th'avengers brow
That bends his rage thy providence to oppose.
When I behold thy Heavens, thy Fingers art,
The Moon and Starrs which thou so bright hast set,
In the pure firmament, then saith my heart,
O What is man that thou remembrest yet,
And think'st upon him; or of man begot
That him thou visit'st and of him art found;
Scarce to be less then Gods, thou mad'st his lot,
With honour and with state thou hast him crown'd.
O're the works of thy hand thou mad'st him Lord,
Thou hast put all under his lordly feet,
All Flocks, and Herds, by thy commanding word,
All beasts that in the field or forrest meet.
Fowl of the Heavens, and Fish that through the wet
Sea-paths in shoals do slide. And know no dearth.
O Jehovah our Lord how wondrous great
And glorious is thy name through all the earth.
