The accomplice to the crime of corruption is frequently our own indifference.

Of Greed And Corruption
Of greed and corruption we are all too aware
It's happening in your suburb and the big World out there
Many in high places into corporate crime
And more honorable than them in jail serving time
On the scales of justice one must cast a doubt
Big time corporate crims seldom ever caught out
Money speaks every language some are known to say
In the twenty first century it does seem that way
Of greed and corruption the whispers abound
Amongst influential people criminals to be found
To buy their way out of trouble they seldom do fail
The power of their money can keep them from jail
And of greed and corruption we hear every day
Whoever did tell us that crime does not pay?

You 'Are' An Accomplice
You 'are' an accomplice!
If you've ever advocated hatred,
With a division that inspires.
And you've expressed a choice,
To have certain voices unrepresented...
In the mix as they wish,
To live and be as they see fit.
You 'are' an accomplice,
To an uprising of violence...
Chaos and confusing conflict.
You 'are' an accomplice,
If there has been an increase...
Of hunger and homelessness,
On city streets.
With a rise of apartheid,
Excused and dismissed.
Oh you 'are' an accomplice to all of it!
If your choice has been to choose,
To ignore the suffering and abuse...
Of your fellow human beings,
Seen as victims of misdeeds...
Implemented with such ease.
You 'are' an accomplice.
You just refuse to admit it.
If you enjoy a life that is loved and liked,
That is not afforded to everyone...
Because of your own selfish preferences,
You wish to highlight.
You 'are' an accomplice,
If you deny similar appetites.
Whether you are in debate with interests,
With others satiating their familiar greed.
Or whether you are secretly in discreet...
Sabotaging someone unknown,
Passed upon urban streets.
But there you are seen greeting...
In the backyards of those,
Not aware of your ideologies.
Or your plans to impose.
You 'are' an accomplice...
Whether or not you agree.
You 'are' an accomplice,
If there has been an increase...
Of hunger and homelessness.
On city streets.
And a rise of apartheid,
Excused and dismissed.
You 'are' an accomplice to all of it!
How can one be a part...
But yet declare not to be,
A product of the whole?
How can one eliminate,
A sentence read from an epic.
To declare it to be insignificant,
To the outcome and the plot!
Believe it or not...
Every piece of the epic read,
Determines the deliciousness...
Or the tastelessness perceived,
Stirred in that pot.
Believe it or not!

Illogical?
there will always be rules
that is why
there will always be
violations
there will always be laws
and so the criminals
exist
there will always be corruption
because we make it so
destroy the laws
erase the rules
make corruption
a way of life
let anarchy rule
let us see
who wins this game
legalize corruption
do there will be no
crime
have a bidding
of the election
so there will be
no vote-buying
this may be illogical
but these are all real

Corruption
From the drip drip drip of the teardrops
To the chink chink chink of the cash
To the end end end of the friendships
To the wack wack wack of the bash
Corruption corruption corruption
Rules my soul
Corruption corruption corruption
Rules my soul
From the tick tick tick of your times up
To the yes yes yes of Ill sell
From the fact fact fact of the souless
To the pact pact pact with hell

Corruption corruption corruption
Chills my bones
Corruption corruption corruption
Rules my soul
Corruption corruption corruption
Chills my bones
From the scream scream scream of the babies
To the retch retch retch of the youth
From the lie lie lie of the righteous
To the lost lost lost way I feel
Corruption corruption corruption
Rules my bones

It's very simple. If the American people care about a lot of things including corruption in government, then, in fact, if you use the power to appoint in order to do political business, to clear fields, to save your party money and so on, if it's not a crime - and I believe it is - it certainly is business as usual, politics of corruption.

Indifference
Indifference is a blatant unkindness,
Far worse than anger and hatred.
With indifference you can get away
From victims, their anguish and miseries.
With indifference you can be well safe
From interruptions to your work and joy.
Neighbours are of no consequence
Nor are their lives meaningful.
Anger is creative; it brings changes.
Hatred is creative; it brings effects.
Indifference is not no-intrusion.
Indifference is destructive and inhuman.

A cruel beast
Corruption,
A vice so loved.
The voiceless,
Suffer in its hands.
The powerful,
Feast its fruits,
Corruption,
A vice so evil.
Land,
From it emanate.
Mansions,
Like mushroom they sprout.
Cars,
Like bees they swarm.
Corruption,
A vice so evil.
Poverty,
A son to it has become,
Who,
A by-product is,
Corruption,
A vice so evil.
Mercy,
To it is rubbish,
Prosperity,
In its mind constantly dwells.
Corruption,
A vice so evil.

The Redemption of Werthur
Oh don't let thy passion break free,
Taciturn and reserved thou should be,
Hearken to Werthur, the poor man,
Who was undone by effusive passion.
So say those of quiet disposition,
Who see demonstrative emotion as a sin,
Saying its not quite right,
For passion to give us that much fight,
They see it as a perversion of normal function,
From which we should all run,
They say that it appears unnatural,
To heed passions fiery call.
Better to keep it locked behind a facade of stone,
To make sure that its never shown,
Better to be hiding behind our reservations,
Than feel our natural sensations.
Better to be stoical without the philosophy,
Than let our emotions occasionally run free,
Better to be defended by a wall of indifference,
Than to be delighted by every sense.
However it is no crime to delight in sensation,
No crime to revel in elation,
No crime to see wonder in simple things,
No crime to be enjoy what life brings.
No crime to feel the temptations of emotion,
No crime to feel reverence and devotion,
No crime to feel desire coursing through our veins,
No crime to feel calm acceptance at what life ordains.
No crime to say what you feel,
No crime to let your heart occasionally reel,
No crime to feel what you say,
No crime to feel wonder at a dawning day.
No crime to take pleasure in vicissitude,
No crime to speculate about our finitude,
No crime to feel agog at Fortunes wheel,
It's no crime to feel.
It is a crime to deny the Human side,
Where passion is left outside,
It is a crime to think passion faulty,
It is a crime to not let emotion free.
There are times when we should temper,
Passion shouldn't be raging Semper,
Times when we should cool the fires,
Times when its wrong to act on our desires.
But it's a greater wrong to act like stone,
Denying feelings to the Heart you own,
Werthur was undone by passion I don’t deny,
But he lived a life of wonder before he was resolved to die.
On Corruption
If corruption be mammoth tree,
Whose seed got planted by many,
But nurture it, most of us do-
Uproot it early, we ought to.
If corruption be cancerous,
And made by man and not inborn,
That we can give to all others-
The cure is within us, brothers.
If corruption is our pet beast,
But wild in nature, pampered free,
Some day, we’ll end up as its feast-
So, shackled in cage, let it be!
The destiny of nations all
Are threatened by corruption’s cloud;
The rain is worse than nuclear pall-
Let mankind not invite this shroud!

Frequently the wood are pink
6
Frequently the wood are pink—
Frequently are brown.
Frequently the hills undress
Behind my native town.
Oft a head is crested
I was wont to see—
And as oft a cranny
Where it used to be—
And the Earth— they tell me—
On its Axis turned!
Wonderful Rotation!
By but twelve performed!

I have been frequently accused of deliberately twisting subject matter to my point of view. Above all, I know that life for a photographer cannot be a matter of indifference. Opinion often consists of a kind of criticism. But criticism can come out of love.

Defending This Diminishes Quick
Indifference is a global threat.
Too busy sipping is a global threat.
And finding the time to wine and dine...
And complaining about neighbors,
In gossip is a crime.
Indifference is a global threat.
Too busy sipping is a global threat.
And finding the time to wine and dine...
And complaining about neighbors,
In gossip...
Is a crime.
And people who do nothing but sit on stoops...
With a hoop all day that's hollered,
Is crude and rude.
And children overseeing this,
Think these attitudes done...
Are cool to copy too.
Romancing what they do is sick.
And defending this diminishes quick.
Especially in the doing of it...
Is considered and respected,
As nobody's business!
Indifference is a global threat.
Too busy sipping is a global threat.
And finding the time to wine and dine...
And complaining about neighbors,
In gossip...
Is a crime.
And children overseeing this,
Think these attitudes done...
Are cool to copy too.
And showing them the opposite...
Will get the rolling of eyes,
And frowning lips.
Romancing what they do is sick.
And defending this diminishes quick.
Especially in the doing of it...
Is considered and respected,
As nobody's business!

The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of beauty is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, but indifference between life and death.

An Indian Dream Comes True
The war against corruption has begun!
It cannot end in scheduled time in years;
A beginning that’s good is work half-done;
But thanks to Anna, his Think-tank and seers!
Corruption is ingrained in people’s hearts;
The weed has grown wide-spread throughout the lands;
It can’t be wiped away, despite efforts;
It needs a change of attitude, strong hands!
Corruption is a love for easy wealth;
No one’s immune from habit that’s so rife;
The habit gains every person by stealth;
It hurts the poor, down-trodden’s heart like knife!
United, war against the menace works;
Democracy needs cleansing from its sores;
When left as such, society, it well irks;
It enters houses, homes by windows, doors!
One Bill cannot contain the rampant strife;
All citizens must fight the habit, crime;
Nevertheless, it can improve one’s life;
Only then, nations progress with more time!
Corruption is not something with a cure;
Beyond a point, we need not it endure;
Nevertheless, many hearts it does lure;
The menace can be mitigated, sure.

The radio talks about corruption
As i take breakfast
The radio speaks
About the recent scandal
On corruption
Of school funds
Ghost Gyms and
Ghost schools somewhere
In the South
2.5 Million in their pockets
Time has changed
Corruption has become one big cliche
In My own society
Nothing will change
Except how i view corruption
It is a way of life and I shall learn
To live with it.
Meanwhile, i change the station
To classical music
That lasts its purity and kindness forever
Relaxes my soul
Strengthens what weakness
Wants to die
The radio talks of corruption
Nothing's new and I turn it off.

Corruption Is Global
Corruption is a global phenomenon
It has gained in roads into every sphere and level
People are so fed up of the monster
It is high time, it must be destroyed
Corruption is so rampant
It poisons every society
Sparing none in its wake
The common man most suffers
Corruption is an incurable disease
It cannot be wiped out but curbed
Politics and governments thrive by it
The end of the road is unclear

The Fight Against Corruption
The country cannot bear it anymore;
The vice has gained in-roads to every sphere;
Corruption rules the roost in daily life;
The weed has grown much better than good plants!
The common man’s the most affected one;
Corruption stays in forms, guises galore;
Taxes are worse and thanks to corruption;
No one is happy with the pay he gets!
Cheating has turned to be the way of life;
Stealing is not a crime for corrupted;
Corruption is the prime cause for price-rise;
The big cheats thrive despite the stricter laws.
Progress has been stifled by corruption;
The hand is used to get bribes all life-time;
The tongue speaks lies with ease and variety;
The time has come to root out corruption.
But who will fight this social evil great?
The few who try are not perfect at all;
The honest ones who try don’t make headway;
The beast is live and loitering afree!
The shark no longer stays in deeper seas;
The ice-berg’s tip can’t be made out these days;
The roots are stronger, gone too far and wide;
The habit’s now second nature of man!
No nation can go on in this fashion;
The good that’s done is undone by this bad!
A popular uprising is the answer;
But good leaders are not an easy find!
Fasting is not the way of doing things;
Violence only begets violence with time;
A lot of patience is needed to fight;
Unite must souls, hearts, minds to curb menace.
Real progress comes if corruption’s less;
Most people are fed up with how things are;
A renaissance must soon stem this vice fast;
Just righteousness can win over evils!
’Tis time to fight corruption in all ways;
Perseverance will tilt the balance soon;
A lot of sacrifice is essential;
The victory is a priceless gift to man!

What would Amos say?
The rural prophet was greeted with cheers when he began his discourse thus:
“This is what Justice demands:
For three acts of treachery, even four, the Banks will face outrage
Greed will consume their senses; avarice will cloud their judgement,
The sleeping giant of public anger will consume the Banks,
Their Ivory Towers will collapse at their feet
Their castles will be foreclosed.
Their guilt was treachery, broken trust, greed and last
But not least the silent axe at the root of their empires… being wise in their own eyes”.
And the crowd exploded with roars of agreement… the media never leads, but follows public opinion.
“This is what Trust witnesses:
For their acts of betrayal, even corruption, Politicians will destroy
trust in democracy, by their greed and rampant selfishness
Feeds into a nation devoid of community awareness,
A nation seduced by celebrity and fame
Corruption, word and deed exposed for consumers
Judgement and cynicism increase sales
No lie can last forever, or cease to be a lie on Peerage.
And the crowd erupts with rehearsed indigence… congratulating
moral superiority not two threads above corruption.
“This is what Truth Exposes:
For their acts of indifference and conformity
English church of the indifferent mind
Status is worshiped, conformity honoured
Objective in indifference…they look the other way
Disengaged they preach at the Trapped
If they preach at all it is not the Holy Word
Lipservice addicted to circle of peers
Investment for greed, £40 million lost
Denies justice to the oppressed
The poor are with us always
Lacking… Justice, Dignity and Truth
Where is the Voice of the Voiceless?
Who keeps a record of the weak?
SILENCE
… the rest is silence.
