The truth is the Super Bowl long ago became more than just a football game. It's part of our culture like turkey at Thanksgiving and lights at Christmas, and like those holidays beyond their meaning, a factor in our economy.

Holidays Approach
When Christmas comes,
It is the time I most like.
Holidays approach,
And I'm excited.
The Summer reminds one of Fall.
And Labor Day begins the best,
Season of all.
But it's the Christmas with its Winter cheer,

Every Turkey
Every Turkey wants to be a cow.
If they had it their way right now.
Every Turkey should immediately hide.
They should not ask a stranger for a ride.
Every Turkey should not give up a fight.
When the farmer trys to hold them tight.
Every Turkey should run real fast.
All of them are competing to be the very last.
Every Turkey should make a lot of noise.
So The farmers joy can't be immense.
Every turkey wishes you were a vegetarian.
Us turkey lovers are just not that mean.
Every Turkey is not able to say Happy Thanksgiving.
They are all to busy giving.
We all say thanks to God for their giving.
Who knows what a new year might bring.
How ironic, to be my last game that I ever played would be against Dan in a Super Bowl. The thing I always was afraid of was playing in a Super Bowl when it was raining. I can't throw a wet ball.

Thanksgiving
The people in our country have set aside a day
to celebrate with family, a day on which they pray
that giving thanks for all they have will make them think again
that many are not as fortunate and then they'll say Amen.
The table set before them will whet their appetite.
The turkey and the dressing and yams will bring delight.
The cornbread and the cranberries are ready for the eating.
The adults and the children once again are meeting.
When the dinner's over, the best is yet to come.
The pumpkin pies with whipped cream and then the men succumb
to watch a football game or two until they fall asleep.
And when the dishes all are done with leftovers in a heap,
Mom will hand them out to all so later they'll ingest
the tasty morsels for a second time.
Thanksgiving is the best! !

Two Balls One Clock
1 Football game playing on Fox,
Has 1 quarter back with 2 balls, one clock
Against 22 balls running after
1 football running with a cock.
Can the team with the most gowl,
Take the 1 ball and win them all?
I don’t know,
But what a show
In the stadium at Chicago
70,000 nuts and all of them dicks,
Paid to freeze as popsicle sticks.
Half the audience is men with only 2 balls,
Saying can we make it to the Super Bowl?
Looks like I guess not,
Because all our balls shriveled up,
Green Bay really one us by a long shot!
