I did feel like they were telling me that something like that was going to happen. Not specifically - not that planes were going to be flown into the World Trade Center or anything like that - but in the general sense.

The real question was, here we had this information, Bin Laden intends to strike in the United States. We knew they had struck before in 1993 at the World Trade Center in the first bombing of the trade center.

We live in downtown Manhattan and we have pretty big windows that looked right at the World Trade Center. I was home along with Kai and we watched it all happen. I was holding him in my arms and we were looking out the window when the second plane hit.

Cant Happen Here
Contaminated fish and micro chips
Huge supertankers on arabian trips
Oily propaganda from the leaders lips
All about the future
Theres people over here, people over there
Everybodys looking for a little more air
Crossing all the borders just to take their share
Planning for the future
And were so abused, and were so confused
Its easy to believe that someones gonna light the fuse
Cant happen here, cant happen here
All that you fear theyre telling you, cant happen here
Supersonic planes for a holiday boom
Rio de janeiro in an afternoon
People out of work but theres people on the moon
Looking for the future
Concrete racktracks nationwide
Juggernauts carving up the countryside
Cars by the million on a one way ride
Using up the future
And were so abused, and were so confused
Its easy to believe that someones gonna light the fuse
Cant happen here, cant happen here
All that you fear theyre telling you, cant happen here
Satellites spying for the cia
The kgb and the men in grey
Wonder if Im gonna see another day
Somewhere in the future
We got everything we need for a peaceful time
Take what you want but you cant take mine
Everybodys living on the siegfried line
Worried bout the future
And were so abused, and were so confused
Its so easy to believe that someones gonna light it
Easy to believe someones gonna light the fuse
Cant happen here, cant happen here
All that you fear theyre telling you, cant happen here can it?

Perfect World
I never could have seen this far
I never could have seen this coming
It seems like my whole world is falling apart
Why is everything so hard?
I don't think that i can deal
With the things you said
It just wont go away
In a perfect world
This could never happen
In a perfect world
You'd still be here
And it makes no sense
I can just pick up the pieces
But to you this means nothing
Nothing at all
I used to think that i was strong
Until the day it all went wrong
I think i need a miracle to make it through
I wish that i could bring you back
I wish that i could turn back time
Cuz i can't let go
I just can't find my way
Without you I just can't find my way
In a perfect world
This could never happen
In a perfect world
You'd still be here
And it makes no sense
I can just pick up the pieces
But to you this means nothing
Nothing at all
I don't know what i should do now
I don't know where i should go
I'm still here waiting for you
I'm lost when your not around
I need to hold on to you
I just can't let you go
In a perfect world
This could never happen
In a perfect world
You'd still be here
And it makes no sense
I can just pick up the pieces
But to you this means nothing
Nothing at all
You feel nothing
Nothing at all

Giving In To The Pain
world not all that it seems,
it's a cruel place,
where things happen,
without an explanation,
i use to think there was a reason,
to why things happen,
now...i don't know what to think,
nothing is making sense,
i want a way out,
but don't know how,
i'm sick of dealing with pain,
it something i can't control,
but, it seem to stick to me like tape,
in some shape or form,
i think of one way out,
just to be free,
from this life i call prison,
nothing seem to change,
life still gets the best of me,
sometimes family can't understand,
to them,
i'm not suffering,
it's all in my head,
to them,
i'm just crazy,
because i'm different in a way,
they just don't understand,
i doubt that they ever will,
i'm doing everything i can,
just to seem fine,
they don't know,
i'm missing everything in my life,
my happiness i had in life,
everything i had going for me,
i would trade life,
just so i won't feel this pain,
i know life has pain,
why this much?
what the point?
i'm hating myself more,
should i just give in?

Hubris
she comes like air inside your nose
passing through your esophagus
and resides in the chamber of your heart
telling you
you're good, and kind, and the best of the rest
and she makes you feel at home with yourself
until then
she begins to make you feel that the rest should
behave like you
and that this world would have been better if
all people are like you
she makes you feel the arrogance of the mountain
and you become the center of this universe
because you have become the sun
that star

she begins to make you feel that the rest should

Trains And Boats And Planes
Trains and boats and planes are passing by
They mean a trip to Paris or Rome
To someone else but not for me
The trains and boats and planes
Took you away, away from me
We were so in love, and high above
We had a star to wish upon. Wish
And dreams come true, but not for me
The trains and boats and planes
Took you away, away from me
You are from another part of the world
You had to go back a while and then
You said you soon would return again
I'm waiting here like I promised to
I'm waiting here but where are you?
Trains and boats and planes took you a way
But every time I see them I pray
And if my prayers can cross the sea
The trains and the boats and planes

Peace Proposal
Said General Clay to General Gore really must we fight this silly war
To kill and die in such a bore I quite agree said General Gore
Said General Gore to General Clay we could go to the beach today
And have some icecream on the way a grand idea said General Clay
Said General Clay to General Gore we'll build sand castles on the shore
Said General Gore we'll splash and play let's leave right now said General Clay
Said General Gore to General Clay but what if the sea's closed today
And what if the sand's been blown away the dreadful thought said General Clay
Said General Gore to General Clay I've always feared the ocean's spray
And we may drown it's true we may it chills my blood said General Clay
Said General Clay to General Gore my bathin' suit is slightly tore
We better go on with our war I quite agree said General Gore
The General Clay chanrged General Gore as bullets flew and cannons roared
And now at last there is no more of General Clay or General Gore

It Has Been Seven Years (Tribute to 9/11/01)
It has been seven years
Seven years have gone by
We all still feel a bit winded
When we look towards the sky
A landmark once known as The World Trade Center
Is no longer around
It was shredded to pieces by people who had no sympathy
These people sadly drove it right to the ground

Denial
You feel it coming like the ground beginning to shake when an earthquake is about to happen.
You feel your body slowly tensing up due to fear.
You try to make yourself believe it won't happen by telling yourself it is a dream.
For we all have been through this game.
It is called denial.
Something that will makes us cringe in fear of the truth.

Never Gonna Happen
U might as well quit while your at it
U aint going no where
I feel so hollow inside
And its all your fault
Youre the cause of all this pain
Now Im left here dying
U think u can beat me
Its never gonna happen
U wanna reach the end
Its never gonna happen
Do what u wanna do
It aint gonna happen
I wont let u do this
Not anymore
Ur so vindictive
U always have been
I regret the day I met u, I saw u
Now u dont even remember me
Im just the voice in your head
Screaming, crying
And telling you
That it aint gonna happen .
