Cost of justice

The command and the commissioner
The presidency and cabinet
Parliament and judicial committee
Judges and lawyer and prothonotary
National Prosecution Authority
Are all the cost of justice

Run round around rally
There’s no truth about you
You are motley
The justice that hide criminal
Justice that decorate crime
Showing it off like Vuvuzela at the stadium

Money is their lawyer
Position is their judgement
Bail is their imprisonment
Poor can’t afford bail
Innocent are behind the bars
Victim strike with the cost of justice

Justice Delayed, Justice Denied

JUSTICE DELAYED, JUSTICE DENIED
Melvin Banggollay

Everyone has the basic right
To get justice with all its might
Which due process should fight
for real justice to shade its light.

But today as politics come to play
or richness and power interplay
With judicial systems foreplay
Justice delayed in so many way.

Justice delayed, justice denied
An unjust lawyer motto and pride
Only to show their wit as they ride
in the hall of justice with all stride.
but never for lawyers who abide
by truth their conscience can't hide.

Let's not circumvent truth with lies
Or trickery with our masterful ability
To set a culprit free from agony
in our greed for honey and money
at the expense of our honor and dignity
before God and the eyes of humanity.

Let the truth always set us free
Let it previal even its hurts any
For this is the real face of reality
that must take its light to carry
Justice to safeguard humanity.

Let us not circumvent in any way
The law just to protect one's impurity
Seal the truth to hide one's criminality
And do everything for one's posterity
even if that man is the real culprit
Even that man did all the merit
of the crime he can never discredit
yet with a lawyers treachery and wit
that man can be freed by his credit.

In so many cases when the victim is poor
Justice takes a duckling walk in the floor
But if the victim belongs to the wealthy
Justice takes a leap across reality
For sometimes money, wealth and power
Push the cart of justice with all its grandeur.

Lawyer's Paradise

Some times law is very confusing
System of courts is quite amusing,
The cases are not disposed off fast
So significance of the justice is lost.

One or for other reason day after day
Months and years, cases are delayed.
Justice seekers wait long in the process
Pay for being victim of the dilatoriness.

Lawyers get adjournment every time
And charge to their clients per diem.
Some times to harass the opposition
Take adjournment for flimsy reason.

Many clients are poor and uneducated
Pay for justice and wait time unlimited.
The client suffers by adjournment practice
And unfortunately fall victim to injustice.

Some lawyers are habitual of adjournment
Some Continue meaningless argument;
For each adjournment client has to pay
Lawyer extract money, clients face delay.

Courts which do not timely decide
Are the places of lawyers paradise.

If any difference should be made by law between husband and wife, reason, justice and humanity, if their voices were heard, would dictate that it should be in her favor.

One who lacks a sense of justice lacks certain fundamental attitudes and capacities included under the notion of humanity. Now the moral feelings are admittedly unpleasant, in some extended sense of unpleasant; but there is no way for us to avoid a liability to them without disfiguring ourselves. This liability is the price of love and trust, of friendship and affection, and of devotion to institutions and traditions from which we have benefited and which serve the general interests of mankind... by understanding what it would be like not to have a sense of justice - that it would be to lack part of our humanity too - we are led to accept our having this sense.

Justice Of The Peace

(ian hunter)
Its such a terrible shame it was only a game
Then her brothers found out seven johnny be goodes
We was only pretending at mummys and daddys
They totally misunderstood
Oh what a terrible plight what a terrible fight
It was too much to bear her father said ere
I think you better sign its a letter designed
To have you married by the first of the year
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice get the justice of the peace
Oh get the justice of the peace
Get the justice get the justice of the peace
If you want to play with fire
Youll get yourself burned
I was messing with the ashes
But look at how it turned out
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice get the justice of the peace
Oh what a terrible waste such a shocking disgrace
To give me away Im too young to die
A shotgun wedding heading straight for the sky
And Im shy mary ellen Im shy y y y
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
Come on!
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
When your chips go down
You came on the dice
Forget the mississippi
Take some friendly advice
Get the justice of the peace
Ill get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
(give it to me old chum)
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
Get the justice of the peace
Get the justice Ill get the justice of the peace
If you want to play with fire

Rape

(ian hunter)
He searched through his love like a thief on the run
He searched through his face - to see the guilt water run
But hes fresh out of tears and nobody has come
And justice has got to be done
Oh moon in the city stay open and clear
For his vision aint good and his minds disappeared
Get along mother nature they spat at your son
So justice has got to be done
And beauty is lying alone in the park
Her friend has gone bowling in the alleys so dark
Wheres her knight in white armour who rides a chrome ford
Justice would seem to be bored
Justice would seem to be bored
A knife full of life penetrated the bait
While he thinks o the sister and the mother that he hates
And he thinks hell get off cos hes sick, and stoned
And justice was made to be honed
And justice was made to be honed
And his lawyer is smiling one hell of a smile
n hes lying all the lies - of the lies in exile
While shes dying of grief hes defending his brief
And justice would seem to be cheap
And justice would seem to be cheap
Well Ive searched through the falling, and I searched through the failed
Ive searched through the jury - the judge and the jailed
But sleeping beauty is dead no use pricking her thumb
And justice has got to be done
Justice just is - justice just is - justice just is - not!

On the Innate Drive For What is Right

As life bled, martyrdom flared its buds.
Repression, red from irritation,
Rendered chinks and cracks; but thuds of
Armament - in cowardice - accomplice of the
Dictatorial blight thro' countless years -
Wreaked its retribution:
Yet hope began to bloom a coloured carapace
Enshrining their allegiance ‘gainst the
Terror in their tears.

And on! Splits yawned - breaches in the junta:
Flesh fought fanatical minds -
Bullets welcomed into open hands
And blessed with yearnings for morality:
Chiselled man-toys of death and mutilation
Couldn't repel the might of freedom
Surging at the bright horizon.

Crepuscular rays of purpose, body,
Flooded pandemonium with
Overwhelming clarity, direction -
Burdened clouds drifting wayward as the
Light channelled out a vision,
Intensifying focus on tomorrow -
Deepen their stride
As they home in to
What is theirs,
Rightfully theirs!

Just deserts

I’ve killed before and will again.
I kill for justice not for gain

So many criminals go free
because of their ability.

To hire a lawyer who will try
To make the truth appear a lie

So they escape just punishment.
Although it is self evident

That crafty legal argument
based on some ancient precedent

The merest technicality
persuades the judge to set them free

I’m not constrained by petty rules
and those that are I see as fools

I pursue justice ceaselessly
and do my duty faithfully

And those I deem deserve to die.
The punishment that I apply.

Is merely justice long delayed
I play the part that I have played.

That of the executioner
Or murderer if you prefer.

For many years without remorse
And I will carry on of course.

I’ve killed before and will again
As long as criminals obtain.

Immunity they don’t deserve
a fact I frequently observe.

In courts of law. Guilty men go free.
Blind justice can depend on me.

To disregard such foolishness
I am completely pitiless.

Though self appointed I redress
injustice with some small success.

I operate in secrecy
It is a prime necessity.

You do not need to know my name
I have no wish for worldly fame.

I take my duties seriously.
and that’s reward enough for me.

I rectify the courts mistakes
a little thought is all it takes.

Each guilty man the courts set free.
I’ll execute eventually.

But I must make it crystal clear
that innocents have naught to fear.

I only punish guilty men
before they can offend again.

Prevention is better than cure
I see no reason to endure.

Acquittals earned by lawyer’s lies.
I think a higher law applies.

If you transgress then you must pay.
There’s nothing more I need to say. http: //blog.myspace.com.poeticpiers

I Love....

i love...
that's the reason i walk,
the reason i breathe.
the reason i grieve.
the reason i dance.
the reason i smile.
the reason i listen.
the reason i offer a hand.
the reason i see beauty.
the reason i see both darkness,
and light....
the reason i take chances.
the reason i keep going.
the reason i get angry.
the reason i forgive.
the reason i touch.
the reason i question.
the reason i believe.
the reason i am tolerant.
the reason i understand.
the reason i fall.
the reason i fly.
the reason i write...
the reason i am what i am!

California Sex Lawyer

I'm going coast to coast
I'm going nation-wide
I've got my hand on the trigger
Got my girl by my side
I've got the looks that kill
I've got a license to love
I've got a german shepard
And his name is Doug
I'm heading for the sun
I'm gunna become
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
Well it's not fair, but baby I dont care
I've got big ideas
I've got back up plans
I've got the cha-cha-charisma
Got the slight of hand
I'm gunna do some damage
Gunna bust some heads
I'm gunna go the distance
Then I'm going to bed
I'm heading for the sun
I'm gunna become
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
Well it's not fair, but baby I dont care
I'm heading for the sun
I'm gunna become
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
A California sex lawyer, oh yeah
Well It's not fair
It's not fair

he knows it will be a bloody ride to the end
he knows the end is death and so do i

Abilene

Something*s goin on
I don*t know what it is
But my phone just rang and I didn*t get no call
No call.
Just waiting here
Abilene, its got a lot of what you don*t need
It*s got lots of space
Still nothing seems misplaced
You*ve got a face
You are spacey
You got to take it as it comes to you
Don*t need no act of contemplation
Just keep it off your wasteful way for now (? )
It*s not you who has got to change
It*s not your way at all
It*s got to be you
It*s got to be you
The look in your eyes,
The feel of your body close to me
It*s got to be you
Who tells me the world spin away without love
You...
Reason, oh, reason for being once more together
It*s got to be you.
It*s got to be you
The look in your eyes,
The feel of your body close to me
It*s got to be you
Who tells me the world spin away without love
You...
Reason, oh, reason for being once more together

Never Say Die

People going nowhere, taken for a ride
Looking for the answers that they know inside
Searching for a reason, looking for a rhyme
Snow White's mirror said: partners in crime!
Don't they ever have to worry?
Don't you ever wonder why?
It's a part of me that tells you
Oh, don't you ever, don't ever say die
Never, never, never say die again
Sunday's satisfaction, Monday's home and dry
Truth is on the doorstep, welcome in the lie
All dressed up in sorrow, got no place to go
Hold back, 'till it's ready, taking it slow
Don't they ever have to worry?
Don't you ever wonder why?
It's a part of me that tells you
Oh, don't you ever, don't ever say die
Never, never, never say die again
Don't you ever say die
Don't you ever say die
Never say die
Panic, silver lining, writing's on the wall
Children get together, you can save us all
Future's on the corner, throwing us a die
Slow down, turn around, everything's fine
There's no need to have a reason
There's no need to wonder why
It's a part of me that tells you
Oh, don't you ever, don't ever say die
Never, never, never say die again

Contemplating Our Reason

Late in the evening
I contemplate my reason
my reason for living
my reason for being

In a world of fairy tales
and violence, miscarriages of justice
and lies
what do we get out of our lives

Are we just waiting for the changes
to work through the lies
or will we be forever
contemplating our reason
