We’re Going
Me and Christine are going to run away,
we’re going to do a runner next Saturday.
We don’t know where, but we’re going far,
we’re going by bus and train, and not by car.
We’re going at seven on Saturday night,
because her father’s been touching and that isn’t right.
We’ve been saving our money for some weeks now
we haven’t got enough, but we’ll manage somehow.
When Chris visits my house she’s full of tears
and leaving her sisters are her biggest fears.
We’d like to take her brother and sisters too,
but we haven’t the money for more than two.
We’ve just got to get away from this terrible situation
there’s more than family to take into consideration.
Her dad says if she tells on him he’ll just leave everyone,
that’s his wife, three daughters, Christine, and his son.
Chris's mum believes everything is fine with this guy,
but she can’t tell her, because she would think it a lie.
So, we've no choice and we've just got to get away,
and we’re going at seven next Saturday.

Surprise in Japan - The woman next door
a japanese woman
becomes our friend
then asks to borrow money
our apartment
an old couple before us
took their own lives
We were really surprised by a middle age Japanese woman who came over to borrow money from us, students. Though Japan is an economic power, life is not so rosy as thought to be as the cost of living is extemely high. Most people in Tokyo cannot afford to own their houses. An old couple who lived in our apartment earlier committed suicide because of financial woes.

I consider melodrama to be a story or situation created artificially, with the sole purpose of attracting an audience’s attention. This is contrived very conveniently. This debt crisis coming to our country. The wall and tidal wave of debt that is befalling our nation. Medicare and Social Security go bankrupt within ten years, we have a debt that is looming so high that in the last year of President Obama's budget just the interest payments on our debt is $916 billion dollars.
