There are people who appear in the magazines and I don't know who they are. I've never seen anything they've done and their careers are over already. They're famous for maybe 10 minutes. Real careers, I think, take a long time to unfold.

People Choose To Die
People choose to die
He smokes even though he knows each smoke he takes kills him
People choose to die
She stays with him even though he beats her every night
People choose to die
He continues to be a prostitute even though he's been living with HIV for the last 3 years.
People choose to die
She drinks and drives even though she's been in 15 drunk driving accidents. Even hit a little girl.
People choose to die.
Thats what we fail to realize.

Sonnet: Choose The Things in Your Life
0 choose your friend who must be good as you;
And choose your spouse better than you; make sure;
And choose the one best as your Teacher too;
And choose ambitions that suit your nature.
0 choose the profession thats truly best;
And choose the hobbies that ne'er interfere;
And choose your Time to begin work, take rest;
And choose your enemies, you surely fear.
0 choose your food that gives extended health;
And choose your garments -comfortable wear;
And choose the honest way to added wealth;
And choose the burden right, body can bear.
0 choose the people who deserve help most;
And choose good principles, yet never boast.

From a very early age, I made my decisions based on careers that I admire. The one thing that all the actresses I love have in common is that they have diversity in their careers.

I Believe So...
does the wind choose to blow?
do rivers choose to run?
does your heart choose to beat?
i believe so...
does the earth choose to turn,
in perfect rhythm, year by year?
do the tides choose to come and go,
in cadence with the moon?
i believe so...
does society choose to be oppressed,
if only by apathy's inaction?
do we choose to let people starve
when we turn the other head?
i believe so...
do we choose war over peace,
to feed the need of greed?
do we choose to destroy nature
by our very lifestyles?
i believe so....
but can we change destiny,
and avert the final blow?
can we open our minds and hearts,
and reclaim life for the living?
i believe so...

Between A Party And Poetry
if made to choose
between a party and my poetry
i choose poetry
i choose silence rather than noise
i choose words rather than people
above all
i choose myself rather than
those goddems

Unless you are really grounded and have a true sense of reality, you can get lost in that and a lot of people do and that's why you see so many people with successful careers but with destructive lives.

No Book, My Loss
I admit I have no book
I'm sorry for my loss
But looking here and now
Is it really worth the cost
I don't spent my money well
Smoking too much pot
Good times with guitar and friends
That's really what I got
Jamming out
One soul one stage
Amazed and applauded as I misbehave
Why can't I make grades at school
It's something I don't know
Is it simply that I don't care
Or would I rather take the flow
Sometimes people call me dumb
As my peers choose their careers
Bug honestly a life like that
one of my only fears
how can I find peace on this cozy rock today?
Do I have to work for them
When I really want to play for you

The coolest thing is that my sister and I, you know, we've done what a lot of people have not been able to do. Which is to have our own careers, together.
I am still learning every day not to watch other people's careers and compare.

Choose
I choose focus
I choose freedom
to be happy, to have fun
to have a wonderful life
to be young, light and bright
I choose health, wealth
lands, treasures
I choose to trust, love
commitment, faith,
I choose to enjoy life
I choose the lord
I choose...

Before They Choose
People know those mixed signals sent.
And what is meant intended.
People want first to tease before they choose.
People know those mixed signals sent.
And what is meant intended.
People want first to tease before they choose,
To refuse.
Giving one the eye to quickly hide!
People know those mixed signals sent.
And what is meant intended.
Scouting for a prey,
To play.
And...
People want first to tease before they choose.
People know those mixed signals sent.
And what is meant intended.
People want first to tease before they choose,
To refuse.
And...
Do.
People know those mixed signals sent.
And what is meant intended.
People want first to tease before they choose.
People know those mixed signals sent.
And what is meant intended.
People want first to tease before they choose,
To refuse.
And...
Do.

Funerals are a Festival
An old lady was dead. She was my father’s
Mother’s elder sister, who brought him up
After his mother’s death when he was at seven.
I went with him to attend the funeral.
Then I was fifteen; no sadness engulfed;
Not aware how much it engulfed my father.
My funeral will be a festival to
Most who would come there for connections.

Bleeding In A Pool Of Shame
Some people are prone to condon,
Their distasteful behavior.
To make any claim whatsoever,
With a justifying of their misdeeds.
And this they do,
With a censoring done to others.
With attitudes they will excuse.
As a standard of values,
They monitor to ensure...
Others they choose to suppress,
Keep endeared and respected.
Some people are prone to condon,
Their distasteful behavior.
To make any claim whatsoever,
With a justifying of their misdeeds.
Only to witness their own credibility,
Bleeding in a pool of shame.
No matter what it is that the cruel people do,
They'll be bleeding in a pool of shame.
And no matter what the evilness people may choose,
They'll be bleeding in a pool of shame.
No matter what deceitful people choose what they do.
They'll be bleeding in a pool of shame.
No matter what those evil people choose for you,
They'll be bleeding in a pool of shame.
