As a scientist in the field of biological warfare defense, I have never had any reservations whatsoever about helping the anthrax investigation in any way that I could.

But I am just as appalled that my experience, knowledge, dedication and service relative to defending the United States against biological warfare has been turned against me in connection with the search for the anthrax killer.

If you take the biological weapons in the United States we still will have perhaps a single individual who was able to make anthrax, dry it, and spread it through the mail and cause terror.
Although every step must be taken to protect against a chemical or biological attack in America, our nation would survive the use of those weapons as we did when anthrax was mailed to our Capitol and other targets.

After eight months of one of the most intensive public and private investigations in American history, no one - no one - has come up with a shred of evidence that I had anything to do with the anthrax letters. I have never worked with anthrax. I know nothing about this matter.

I was trained as a neurologist, and then I went into the theater, and if you're brought up to think of yourself as a biological scientist of some sort, pretty well everything else seems frivolous by comparison.

To His Defense
To his defense, I understand the problem that is at hand.
To his defense, I understand the turmoil behind all of this.
To his defense, you'll never live the life he has endured.
To his defense, judge, I object to the inaccuracies you are spewing forth.
Be prepared to kill two birds with one stone.
Anxiety rises about the room.
As the swine feeds on frozen hearts.
A sign of treason ascends in my thoughts.
My conscience was right, the traitor exposed.
To his defense, there must be a reason for all the things he has done.
To his defense, it could easily be a coincidence.
To his defense, look at him now.
He's happier than I'll ever become.
To his defense, theres no defense.
No toleration for betrayal.

I think a good scene in a movie would be where one scientist tells another scientist, 'You know what will save the world You're holding it in your hand.' And the other scientist looks, and in his hand are peanuts. Then when he looks up, the first scientist is being taken away to the insane asylum.

The scenarios of biological or chemical warfare painted in detail by the American media during the months after September 11 only betray the inability of the government to determine the magnitude of the danger.

Reservations
How can I convince you its me I dont like
And not be so indifferent to the look in your eyes
When Ive always been distant
And Ive always told lies for love
Im bound by these choices so hard to make
Im bound by the feeling so easy to fake
None of this is real enough to take me from you
Oh Ive got reservations
About so many things
But not about you
I know this isnt what you were wanting me to say
How can I get closer and be further away
From the truth that proves its beautiful to lie
Ive got reservations
About so many things
But not about you
Ive reservations
About so many things
But not about you
Not about you
Not about you
Not about you
Not about you

Evening With Maria.
Silence in total warfare,
Crying profusely in depth waters,
Asking where death in silence of nature was,
Refusing of compromise,
Hands of unlimited doings,
Evening with maria was.
Silence in total warfare,
Fighting over powers,
Fighting over nature,
Lost in battle field,
Crying profusely in depth waters,
Hands of in jealousy,
Evening with maria was.
Silence in total warfare whoosh,
Tried play,
Tried reasoning,
Lost in battle field,
Lost whole-fully in circled,
Hands up in conspiracy for laurel,
Evening with maria was.
Silence in total warfare,
Many told of untold sexual night,
many secret of twos,
Hands eventuality in destiny call,
Evening with maria.
Silence in total warfare,
Speaks and heard not,
Tried but queues on the ladder pole,
Loved but not in total surrender,
Hands in Death for a laurel,
Evening with maria was.
Silence in total warfare,
Must say Beautiful,
must say Beautiful!
Hands in destiny call,
Tried but lost whole-fully,
An Endless evening with Maria....

My mental approach is totally different. My coach predicated everything on defense. He always talked about defense, defense, defense. I took it to heart that if you play defense, you can take the heart from an offensive player.

Defense and offence.
Defense is a kind of offence;
Offence is a smart defense.
Offence is to break defense.
Defense is to thwart offence.
As predator, one needs offence.
As a prey, one needs defense.
Otherwise defense is as bad as offence.

Always get stuck on always trying this
I try to live on science alone
Analysis and freaky sensitivity
We've gotta live on science alone

We've gotta live on science alone
Religiously I'm speaking on the science 'cause
We've gotta live on science alone
I'll tell you what mathematically I'm having it

In me the scientist
Always stuck on always trying this

Analysis and freaky sensitivity
We've gotta live on science alone
Woohoowoo
Yeah uh I am a scientist
Woohoowoo
Yeah uh I am a scientist
Woohoowoo
Yeah uh I am a scientist
'Cause I can live on science alone
We've gotta live on science alone
Yeah uh I am a scientist
