My room for books and study or for sitting and thinking about nothing in particular to see what would happen was at the end of a hall.

I Imagine
i imagine
you
thinking woman
your elbow
calloused
on the table
by so much
thinking
your legs
scarred
your bottoms
bothered
by innumerable
ideas
coming out
from your
head
like the
colored
sparks
of the fourth
of July
i imagine
you sitting
on your study
a heated
chair
a burning
table
a room
crowded
with a lot
of warring
ideas
a bed
not enticing
you to sleep
i imagine
you thinking
woman
scribbling
your poems
burning
a dozen
candles
i imagine
your fury
your disappointments
your disgrace
your fall
from their
grasp
the bump
of your head
on their
shallow waters
thinking woman
be pleased
in truth
i have not
offended you
all my hairs
have decided
to fall
on the floor
and my eyes
have lost
the need
for eyelids
and be happy
we still talk
in the lines
of this
unstoppable

Sitting In My Room
Sitting in my room
Record player on
Sitting in my room
humming a sickening tune
Sitting in my room
Something to do soon
We know what we think of them
the problems just keep piling in
They got complains about everything
It's us against them
It's us against them
It's us against them
They just wanna worry
that's not what any kid
should have to do
They just wanna be so lame
Maybe they should
try and sniff some glue

You Are Old Now.
when i step into the room
i could have told you
but you are the one always speaking
'the king can do no wrong'
i look at the pile of books
silent damn books
i am following your footsteps
into that
hateful anonymity
when time brings us all here
we are told
we have not really done anything great
the books of our lives
will be consisting of empty pages
you were so engrossed in speaking
and i am lost in my
boredom
i was thinking of those that have not arrived here
those who have also given
hope like me but they are still in some unknown places
i turned off my cell phone
this time i must confront the void
into speechlessness
into my failures
for what i have not done
before i left the room i took one book
it is not that the king can do no wrong
there is no king.

Sitting In My Hotel
If my friends could see me now, driving round just like a film star,
In a chauffeur driven jam jar, they would laugh.
They would all be saying that its not really me,
They would all be asking who Im trying to be.
If my friends could see me now,
Looking out my hotel window,
Dressed in satin strides and two-tone daisy roots,
If my friends could see me now I know they would smile.
Sitting in my hotel, hiding from the dramas of this great big world,
Seven stories high, looking at the world go by-y.
Sitting in my hotel room, thinking about the countryside and sunny days in june.
Trying to hide the gloom, sitting in my hotel room.
If my friends could see me now, dressing up in my bow-tie,
Prancing round the room like some outrageous poove,
They would tell me that Im just being used
They would ask me what Im trying to prove.
They would see me in my hotel,
Watching late shows till the morning,
Writing songs for old time vaudeville revues.
All my friends would ask me what its all leading to.
Sitting in my hotel, looking through the window at the people in the street,
Seven stories high looking at the world go by,
Sitting in my hotel, looking at the world outside.
If my friends could see me now they would try to understand me,
They would ask me what on earth Im trying to prove.
All my friends would ask me what its all leading to.

Oneness is the specialty
She is far away, shut in;
Here away am I, kept in.
Thinking and thinking of her,
All the time thinking of her,
The think, the thinking out of her,
Grew to being the very her.
I feel she is no more off me.
In oneness there is no two-ness.
In lovers’ fortress
There is no double bedded room
Where only oneness has room.

Touching Numbers
I was sitting alone at home
thinking about you
wondering what the heck
you were up to.
Are you sitting there alone
thinking about me…
wondering if I was in
someone else's company?
Have you found someone new
to give your affection…
are you stroking each other's palms
considering a connection?
Are you snuggling up close
and kissing him
the same as you kissed me
on my neck and chin?
Is your breathing deep and heavy,
does your heart pound,
are you truly happy now
that I'm not around?
I really hope you're there
thinking about me,
looking at our photographs
on your phone's memory.
Touching numbers, about to call,
thinking of what to say.
Maybe, should we meet up
in our favourite café?
I suppose I'm just a fool
for thinking like this,
dwelling on a lost love
and past happiness.
I have to face it, you're not
thinking of me at all.
A full day has just about gone…
should I make the call?

Thinking of You
Sitting here on this cold night I think of you
Sitting here looking into the sky I see your face
Sitting here thinking I think of your voice
Sitting here I watch the stars I smile at the thought of seeing you soon
Being here without you I feel the emptiness sinking into my heart
Being out here without your warmth I think of how I will feel your warmth someday
Being here in the night that is so dark I force a smile to show on my face
Being here I think of how this will just make the day I see you even better
Thinking of you can always changes the day from bad to good in a second
Thinking of you makes a smile appear that has been hidden
Thinking of you lightens the dark night's sky
Thinking of you makes me get through the day
Talking to you always makes me forget all my troubles
Talking to you makes my surroundings melt into a dream
Talking to you always puts me in a good mood even when we have nothing to say
Talking to you always gives me something to look forward to. I love you.

New Feeling
Its not...yesterday...anymore
I go visiting, I talk loud
I try to make myself clear
In front...of a face...thats nearer
Than its ever been before
Not this close before
Nearer than before
Not this close before
It is...is a million...years ago
I hear music...and it sounds like bells
I feel like my head is high
I wish...i could meet...every one
Meet them all over again
Bring them up to my room
Meet them all over again
Everyones up in my room
And now...now Im busy...busy again
I feel like sitting down but
Im still thinking...thinking about my friends
In my garden...moments
But now Im speaking out
Speaking about my friends
Now Im speaking out
Thinking about my friends

Blue Room, The
We'll have a blue room
A new room for two room
Where ev'ry day's a holiday
Because you're married to me.
Not like a ballroom
A small room, A hall room
Where I can smoke my pipe away
With your wee head upon my knee.
We will thrive on, keep alive on
Just nothing but kisses
With Mister and Missus
On little blue chairs.
You sew your trousseau
And Robinson Crusoe
Is not so far from worldly cares
As our blue room far away upstairs

Sitting Here In My Limbo
I don't need books and degrees to identify myself,
But i need my positive mind to lead me on;
I am sitting here in my limbo looking towards the Creator.
Sitting here in my limbo,
I don't need degrees to identify myself;
But in the light of Yahweh Almighty,
I have a mission to fulfil.
Sitting here in my limbo,
Still waiting for the right time to come;
For, how long shall they kill the prophets and,
We stand aside and look?
Mark my identity and learn from my muse,
The very conscience should be used positively;
I don't need books and degrees to crown my name.
Sitting here in my limbo with the tides,
I am always present at the board meetings;
But it seems to me like a cndle in the wind.
A positive conscience is all that i have with me,
Like rulers and the ruled;
But one day, my time will come.
I'm sitting here in my limbo waiting for the time,
The late success of my philosophy to rule the world;
'Who is this Writer? ' You may ask;
But just read on to mark my identity.
Ask of my where about and,
I will show you the dimensions of life;
Sitting here in my limbo is all that matters to me.

Bye bye, baby, bye bye
Don't want to make you cryBye bye, baby, bye bye
Don't want to make you cry
I'll be leaving you nowYou'll get along somehow
Time time is gone when you and I were strongTime time is gone when you and I were strong
Isn't easy to leave, isn't easy to leave
You spend you life thinking about living
You spend your whole life
Bye bye baby bye byeDon't want to make you cry
Time time time is gone when you and I were strongTime time time is gone when you and I were strongIsn't easy to leave, isn't easy to leave
You spend your time sitting there thinking
Thinking about sitting there thinking
You waste my time talking about dieing
Dieing when you should be trying
Bye bye, baby, bye bye
Don't want to make you cryBye bye, baby, bye bye
Don't want to make you cry
I'll be leaving you nowYou'll get along somehow
Time time time is mine to make my fortune mine
Time time time is mine to make my fortune mine
Can't say I can see what'll happen to meCan't say I can see what'll happen to me

How Can an Encouragement Be Nourished
It is my belief,
One would have to have capabilities
To learn 'something'...
To be declared ignorant.
Professing someone to be ignorant,
Expresses there are possibilities uncovered...
Recognized and could be retrieved!
To comprehend any process that digests,
One has to be associated with a consciousness.
One that links a thinking done.
And connected to something to address.
But some have heads densed!
Dreading the agony of a thinking to commence.
An identity is missing.
And nothing can happen...
If that has not been established!
Without a foundation on which to stand,
On a land that supports a quick access...
To what one knows,
For them is best.
No one can be accused of lacking an accountability!
That is not going to happen.
None perceived to conceive that achieves.
Even with the aid of qualified mental therapists.
Coloring books...
Exchanged dirty looks.
Or fresh meat cooked,
After being sautéed in onions.
That may be a preparation,
To welcome those to nibble...
Taste and eat!
However,
Some will be motivated to ask what it is.
And others will not notice a thing at all.
How can an encouragement be nourished...
When motivation has to be explained?

Friends
Im sitting in this room alone
Time is passing by
I think of things Ive said and done
And now I wonder why
At times all my eyes see
Is a world of misery
When Im overwhelmed with pain
You tell me how endeared I am my friend
Somehow we know just what were thinking
And listen when the other calls
Im here waiting for your call
And when were feeling down
We pick each other up before we fall
Youre sitting in your room alone
Life is passing by
You think of things you said
And all that youve done
Now you wonder why
And when all your eyes see
This world of misery
When youre overwhelmed with pain
Ill tell you how endeared you
Are my friend

You Are The Sea
The cruelest thing to someone like me
You wash towards me, covering everything
Then pull away and disappear again
You infiltrate every cell of me
I gladly wrap my hope and joy in you
Then you gradually disappear again
I've been sitting in this hotel room for so long
I keep thinking I hear the phone ringing
But it's not
I keep thinking I see the sun rising
But it's not
It's just the sea
Playing its tricks on me
I say too much on the subject
I dwell too long on the subject
Can't shake your face
Can't shake your name from my head
Said too much again
I've said too much again
The cruelest thing to someone like me
Is what I do to myself, waiting for high-tide
Ignoring everything I have, torturing myself
The craziness in me is just spilling over
Diving into shallow water from the rocks
Forgetting everything I have, torturing myself
I've been sitting at this bar for far too long
I keep thinking I hear your voice behind me
But I'm wrong
I keep thinking I see you walking by
But I'm wrong
It's just the sea
Playing its tricks on me
It's been nearly a year of concentrated longing now
Nearly a year of pining after the sea and the girl
Nearly a year and no single step closer
Nearly a year and still I don't know her
I keep thinking this is what I really need
But it's not
I keep thinking this is all so clear
But I'm wrong
It's just the sea
Playing its tricks on me
You are the sea
Playing your tricks on me
You are the sea
And I should let go
I should let go
Why can't I let go?
Is pain all I can know?
I'm washing my hands
I'm washing my hands of you
I'm washing them
In the sea
I'm washing my hands of you
Washing them
In the sea
And letting go of you
I'm letting go of the sea...

The Librarian
She put her 'check out books at down-stairs counter' sign and headed for the graduate stacks to do her -re-shelving.
The book cart rolled along punctuating her thoughts about him. Brian, she was sure would be there in the stacks, at his little desk against the wall pretending to be buried in his books and she would come in and pretend to be shelving her books and she would pretend to notice him casually.
It would be awkward but the awkwardness of it was exciting for her. Thirty-two and not married but idling for something to happen in her life she was ripe for something to happen and the desulatory weaving pushing the cart did not conceal from even her where her true destination was. She was headed straight toward him, her twenty-five year old Robert Redford look-alike virgin.
To be continued.

I Wont Let It Happen
Got my sights, baby, set on you
The things she said, well, maybe theyre true
But its not gonna happen I wont let it happen
I wont let it happen not again
Easy come, easy go, easily
But thats not how I want it to be
Its not gonna happen I wont let it happen
I wont let it happen not again
Sitting all alone by the telephone
When are you coming home when are you coming home
Hey!
Easy come, easy go, easily
But thats not how I want it to be
And its not gonna happen
I wont let it happen I wont let it happen
Not again not again not again not again
