So long as you are ready to die for humanity, the life of your country is immortal.

Poems On Man

Man goes into the noisy crowd
to drown his own clamour of silence.

Man is immortal; therefore he must die endlessly.
For life is a creative idea;
it can only find itself in changing forms.

Man's abiding happiness is not in getting anything
but in giving himself up to what is greater than himself,
to ideas which are larger than his individual life,
the idea of his country,
of humanity,
of God.

Happiness Everlasting (Rev.)

The little mermaid died, the
price for prolonged life was
taking the life of her Prince,
the love of her life, watching
him murmuring the name of his
bride, she flung the death-knife
overboard, jumped into the sea,
ready to die

became ethereal, musical and
transparent, gained an immortal
soul through good deeds, endured
suffering in life, courage saved
her from the dead salt sea, made
a sprite of the air – an immortal
soul within three-hundred years…

How long will it take me to work
through life and reincarnations,
to live as an immortal, to share
in happiness everlasting?
Can I endure my suffering
with enough courage?

To The Soldier

You Soldiers will have my support with my voice or with a prayer,
And I will be standing beside you though you wont see me there,
I am thankful that you are there to protect my country and my land
And if I could only thank you, I would like to shake your hand.

You are ready to surrender your life and die just for me
Because you are a soldier and you want all men to be free
How can I ever thank a man who is ready to lay down his life
A man who will die for me, and say goodbye to his children and wife.

I salute every soldier who is ready at our nation's call
And I pray that GOD will watch over them and I hope they never fall
And if they die for our country I truly will shed a tear
But then I will also smile, as I thank GOD that they were here.

Are You Ready For The Country

Slipping and sliding and playing domino
Lefting and then righting, its not a crime you know.
You gotta tell your story boy, before its time to go.
Are you ready for the country because its time to go?
Are you ready for the country because its time to go?
I was talkin to the preacher, said God was on my side
Then I ran into the hangman, he said its time to die
You gotta tell your story boy, you know the reason why.
Are you ready for the country because its time to go?
Are you ready for the country because its time to go?

Are You Ready?

Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Are you ready to meet jesus?
Are you where you ought to be?
Will he know you when he sees you
Or will he say, depart from me?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready, am I ready?
Am I ready to lay down my life for the brethren
And to take up my cross?
Have I surrendered to the will of god
Or am I still acting like the boss?
Am I ready, hope Im ready.
When destruction cometh swiftly
And theres no time to say a fare-thee-well,
Have you decided whether you want to be
In heaven or in hell?
Are you ready, are you ready?
Have you got some unfinished business?
Is there something holding you back?
Are you thinking for yourself
Or are you following the pack?
Are you ready, hope youre ready.
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment?
Are you ready for that terrible swift sword?
Are you ready for armageddon?
Are you ready for the day of the lord?
Are you ready, I hope youre ready.

That Most Humans Crave For Glory

That most humans crave for glory is surely not a lie
And though you well may love your Country for your Country why should you die
Since dead heroes like dead cowards cannot help their Country in any way
Whilst alive you can help your Country even though you look old and gray
The dead hero cannot hear the bugler when the last post it is played
Though some may say his ghost is present at every war parade
The deserter is dishonoured from the fight he ran away
But to his Country he's of some use he's alive and well today
The dead hero he is honoured though to him that of no use
For to justify their recent war the war leaders use the war dead as an excuse
For another bloody battle a war they themselves will not fight in
Though in every war that ever was humanity did not win
You cannot serve your Country by dying for it so live for as long as you can
And die hopefully a painless death as a very old man.

Cigarettes In Hell

Spend you days just walking and shopping
Depending on how much you're luck is in
Spend the night-life table-hopping
And trying to keep that bag of bones in trim
I don't mind not being immortal
'Cos it ain't all that as far as I can tell
I don't mind not going to heaven
As long as they've got cigarettes
As long as they've got cigarettes in hell
And by the time we start getting used to it
The dope that's forming on the windowsill
Now we know we've got ourselves into
The cage that keeps the mice on the treadmill
I don't mind not being immortal
'Cos it ain't all that as far as I can tell
I don't mind not going to heaven
As long as they've got cigarettes
As long as they've got cigarettes in hell
I don't mind not being immortal
Because it ain't all that as far as I can tell
I don't mind not going to heaven
As long as they've got cigarettes
As long as they've got cigarettes in hell

Country Woman

Country women now, what you gonna do with your life
Country women now, why dont you get out of this life
Leave my life alone
The first time I met you I knew you were the devils daughter
You came on like a river , doin all the things you oughta
Youre a self made women ,baby, not a made-to-order
If you had your way , I know youd make me stay
And that would only bring me down
Country women now, what you gonna do with your life
Country women now, why dont you get out of this life
Leave my life alone
(break)
Country women , country women ,country women
Country women, country women , ahh....
Country women now, what you gonna do with your life
Country women now, why dont you get out of this life
Leave my life alone
Leave my life alone
Country women now , country women now, country women now,
Country women now , country women now, country women now, (fade)

Ready For You

(graham russell)
Painted sands and makeshift hands
Take us round and round
Horizon clear will soon be near
Im walking on the ground
Ive been round the corner
Sinking all the doubts in sight
If you sail across the border
We can float into the night
Oh Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Cloudy sky the wind is high
Im trying to break the spell
But Ill be here when you appear
I see the night as well
A feelings not a feeling
If you cant believe its true
Id sooner be believing
When the ship comes sailing through
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Shifting sea, believe in me
And bring this boat to home
Ive waited long my heart is strong
And faithful to its own
My eyes wont start this sleeping
Till they see the face they love
Theres so much Ive been keeping
And Ive kept it long enough
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
Im ready for you
(repeat)

You'll never be able to win!

You’ll never be able to win
Unless you are ready to change
Your current goal is protection
And our goal is revenge

You’ll never be able to win
Unless you are ready to change
You’re treating Arabs as slaves
We call you bad names in exchange

You’ll never be able to win
Unless you are ready to change
And putting people at risk
Is always considered derange

You’ll never be able to win
Unless you are ready to change
The country that split in halves
Not country, but something strange

You’ll never be able to win
Unless you are ready to change
Free Israel, free Palestine
It something that we can arrange

Our ancestors lived in peace
When they were not at war
For a piece of a Golden Fleece
For estate on a seashore

But our clash is the worst
Since there is one outcome
We’ll drag all planet Earth
Into the tram - tararam.

Im Ready

Im ready
Id like to see you, thought Id let you know
I wanna be with you everyday
Cause Ive got a feeling that beginning to grow
And theres only one thing I can say
Im ready - to love you
Im ready - to hold you
Im ready - Im ready
Im ready as Im gonna be
She left me a long note when she left me here
Told me that love was hard to find
But baby its easy and Ill make it clear
Theres only one thing on my mind
Im ready - to love you
Im ready - to hold you
Im ready - Im ready
Im ready as Im gonna be

Wasn't It Sold a Long Time Ago

Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?

Integrity?
When did they lose it,
And who took that away?

Dignity and pride?
The last time I witnessed that...
It was on life support.
And I don't think they were able,
To bring any of it back.

Let's see...mmm,
Oh yeah,
Humanity?
Remember when homelessness, poverty and hunger
Were all associated with the inner city folks?
Now everybody wants to get into the act.
But...
Humanity?
Still has taken two or three steps back!

Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?

Jobs and...well, jobs!
Remember the terms downsized and outsourced?
Can you say...
Betrayal and deceit?
And add corporate greed to that.

High prices?
Low or no wages!
The economy is on the brink.
Banks are closing.
And...
No one dares to mention truth.
Or the pollution done to the environment.

Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?

Well...
Not too many are far away from ignorance.
So that can't be what they are wishing to take back.
And if it is the country they refer to?
Wasn't it sold a long time ago...
When racism was used as a distraction?

This country has been ripped to shreds!
With few wishing to prioritize,
A patching of this quilt done.

I cannot leave my country

I cannot leave my country
as it is in my blood;
this earth is part of me
and when it rains
it’s as if I smell new life.

I do not want to see any other horizon
when the sun that almost every day
burns hot here,
hanging in a cobalt blue sky
makes that I already yearn for my own country.

What can you find in the culture
of other people, where you do not really fit in,
when your own humanity binds you so
that you know that you would be foreign
and goalless there,
like a stranger that is longing
to go back home?

Some poems have a vast interior

Some poems have a vast interior;
a deep, wild, impenetrable up-country,
traversed as in some dream
so long, no-one can say
how long; before
they meet the shore of love,
merge into that sparkling sea
from which, humanity;

how far has that so wild-eyed poet walked
to find the sea?

Let It Be

let it be
when someone from another zone want to know your life
let it be
when someone from another country want to help your media charater
let it be
but
you must know yourself to be sure of your honesty
what humanity is

Queen And Country

The wind is on the river and the tide has turned too late,
So we're sailing for another shore where some other ladies wait
To throw us silken whispers: catch us by the anchor chains -
But we all laugh so politely and we sail on just the same
For Queen and Country in the long dying day.
And it's been this way for five long years since we signed our souls away.
We bring back gold and ivory; rings of diamonds; strings of pearls -
Make presents to the government so they can have their social whirl
With Queen and Country in the long dying day.
And it's been this way for five long years since we signed our souls away.
For Queen and Country in the long dying day.
And it's been this way for five long years since we signed our souls away.
They build schools and they build factories
With the spoils of battles won.
And we remain their pretty sailor boys - hold our heads up to the gun
Of Queen and Country in the long dying day.
And it's been this way for five long years since we signed our souls away.
To Queen and Country in the long dying day.
And it's been this way for five long years since we signed our souls away.
To Queen and Country in the long dying day.
And it's been this way for five long years since we signed our souls away

Are You Ready Girl?

Well in this new love that youve found,
Are you positive, are you sure,
And are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Though its fun you talk about[? ],
Its the night life you explore.
And are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
cause youre living with a man
Who will find no understanding.
Do you mind if I layed down and cried?
Do you ever know the way,
That I feel for you each day?
So are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Hell buy you diamonds, hell buy you rings,
Hell buy your time, hell buy you sin.[? ]
So are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Hell keep you laughing for a while,
Then hell leave you with a smile.
So are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
cause youre living with a man
Who will find no understanding.
Do you mind if I layed down and cried?
Do you ever know the way,
That I feel for you each day?
So are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Are you ready girl?
Are you ready?
