I used to not stutter any. Oh, I did when I was a kid, I stuttered, I had a bad stutter until I was probably between the second and third grade and a guy got rid of it for me.

Stuttering
shutters when you exercise the word
close open close open
they stutter and begin to make a panid
of its blinds. What are you doing, asks
the window? I am winnowing. I am peeping
to the slits of the rainbow. The colors dance
like a wild flower under a heavy rain,
drunk, and groggy to the syrup of
saps of this tree and that. Shrubs and
blurbs, gather and gargle. Heavy stuff.
I vomit you and you rise from the
slime of my breath. You face me and
things come back again like a welcome.
So it is you. You love me. You love me
again and again. Here you are. Here
i am. I am carpentering for words, from
some pieces of puzzles. That crap. Why
stutter like an autistic savant? All you have
to do is hold my hand. The world becomes
a safe bridge deck. Two strangers their
arms on hold, looking at the pier. Waiting
for names of their incoming solace.
i know you well. You stutter when you fall in love again.
The boat blown by the wind. The moon sinks deep down under.

I Stutter
I Stutter
Written by: Wilfred Mellers 3 September 2010 @ 2: 48 PM
I gasping for air the words I cannot utter
Smooth as silk and creamy as whipped butter
Wow! “I ST, STU, STUT, STUTTER! ”
My mind goes straight to the gutter
Good lord help me now
Goodness gracious freak N’ wow!
For you I would gladly bow
Your fertile field I so want to plow
You made me raised more than an eyebrow
I could show you skills and the know-how
If only you would allow
Any time of day you are my chow
Bang, boom, and bowwow
Let’s sit down to a powwow
For you I will kowtow
To hearing the kitty purr and meow
Nights to remember I vow
Never I the highbrow
Rendezvous with you in a landau
Romantic interludes in Moscow
Zen master inspired by the Tao
Pick the cherry and spank the cow
What I will do can land me in the hoosegow
You are the main course at the Luau

Trickle, Stutter, Pluck
Trickle my waxen moon
A vertical line stood
Underneath a starbeam
A trail of perfidious gilt
An obdurate lynch
Inveigling in its silence
And intimidating
My hapless stance
I teeter in the ensnare
Of a spider's web
Cloyed by superfluous
Legs and eyes
And abundant demands
Impale and crucify
Me before I oust
Myself in this
Labyrinthine vexation
Stutter as you oscillate
As I sift the serrations
Of a starless night
And a placid tension
Basking in a lagoon
I yearn for your reflection
Without the verdigris
Of the arachnid venom
I am the penumbra
Of these doom
Pluck me out this room
Trickle, stutter, pluck
I'd rather fillet
This starless night
Than to sew my skin
Into this tapestry
Of moths and
Ignorant malaise.

I Am The Best At This
You can give your regards.
And your attention to whom you wish.
But I know who I am.
And I am the best at this!
Did I bat an eyelash?
Or stutter from my lips?
I'll repeat that again.
Just in case you missed it.
I said...
I know 'who' I am!
And...
I 'am' the best at this!
'The 'best' at what? '
Whatever it is I decide.
Why?
Are you seeking leadership?

Our Lives
Our lives stutter
beneath the stammering of tongues
the hammering
of blood and bone and muscle
and we burden ourselves
with things
that in the end
don't really matter

I often heard grandmother mutter
That she once set men's hearts aflutter.
Her demeanour, so sweet,
And her figure, petite,
Caused eloquent suitors to stutter!

Ugliest Girl In The World
The woman that I love she got a hook in her nose
Her eyebrows meet, she wears second hand clothes
She speaks with a stutter and she walks with a hop
I dont know why I love her but I just cant stop
You know I love her
Yeah I love her
Im in love with the ugliest girl in the world
If I ever lose her I will go insane
I go half crazy when she calls my name
When she says babababababy I l-l-love you
There aint nothing in the world that I wouldnt do
You know I love her
Yeah I love her
Im in love with the ugliest girl in the world
The woman that I love she got two flat feet
Her knees knock together walking down the street
She cracks her knuckles and she snores in bed
She aint much to look at but like I said
You know I love her
Yeah I love her
Im in love with the ugliest girl in the world
I dont mean to say that she got nothing goin
She got a weird sense of humor thats all her own
When I get low she sets me on my feet
Got a five inch smile but her breath is sweet
You know I love her
Yeah I love her
Im in love with the ugliest girl in the world
The woman that I love she a got a prizefighter nose
Cauliflower ears and a run in her hose
She speaks with a stutter and she walks with a hop
I dont know why I love her but I just cant stop

Unfinished conversation
You stutter a bit in this conversation
In twilight,
You do not wait for her to complete the words
I
Love
You
It is you who cannot wait because of the anticipating quiver
The coldness of the night
You close her lips with your lips
she is able to utter only
hhhhmmm....

A Straight Line
you know
you no longer wonder
whether a straight line is what happens next
you stutter
you become a broken jagged line for a while
but only for a while
a second
not even a minute
and then there is a prolonged noise
it is not hazy
it is lighter than white whiter than white
people accept this
and they nod and you go.

I Trust
When the hate began
subordinating,
where were you?
O!
My clothes were on fire.
When you climbed the lips,
words were livid on tongue:
beyond the earth and sky,
water and air,
fire!
You stutter?
Speak not truth.
I don’t exist;
my flesh has become food
red meat,
dirty orchid!
I will forget me! !

The Metaphor
Enticed I was from Venus yonder
Ephemeral music brought by Apollo
Eager Mars I was for Demeter
Eerie I felt, hands to bolo
Astonished to you I merely stutter
Abacinated I was through my sorrow
Adynamia of mine, the song you utter
Apay mine lust was trip to inferno.

What A Little Moonlight Will Do
Ooh, ooh, ooh
What a little moonlight can do
Ooh, ooh, ooh
What a little moonlight can do to you
Youre in love
Your hearts fluttering all day long
You only stutter cause your poor tongue
Just will not utter the words
i love you
Ooh, ooh, ooh
What a little moonlight can do
Wait a while
Till a little moonbeam comes peepin through
Hell get bored
You cant resist him
All youll say
When you have kissed him is
Ooh, ooh, ooh
What a little moonlight can do
Ooh, ooh, ooh

Sleep With The Lights On
Sleep with the lights on-
And though curtains may flutter,
The sun won’t peek through.
Sleep with the lights on
Though candles might stutter,
The outside stays blue.
Sleep with the lights on;
While the traffic still sputters,
There's nothing to do.
Sleep with the lights on
So when that thing is hunting-
You’ll know it’s found you.
