Today might be my lucky day.
Today might be my lucky day.
At auction sales I choose to buy
Odd quirky things that catch my eye.
I do not have a lot to spend
So in the end I must depend.
On buying things which I select
That greedy dealers would reject.
They only buy what the can sell.
From which they hope to profit well.
Attending auctions is my pleasure
Perhaps one day I’ll find a treasure.
Something the dealers left behind.
For amateurs like me to find
To benefit from their mistakes
A little luck is all it takes.

Slave Dealers Daughter
Ive been trying for so long
Trying to forget
The ports of northern africa and the man I met
He said he had a daughter
Maybe I could meet her
He thought I was a trader
Oh, that was how I met
That slave dealers daughter
Her eyes were black her hair was raven
Her skin was soft and brown
Eighteen years she looked a woman
I thought shed been around
Shed never met a jailbird? ? ?
I knew that she was lonely
She offered me her body
So I fell in love
With that slave dealers daughter
Her fathers men came after me
Trying to hunt me down
For three long years Ive hid my face
And run from town to town
She never met a jailbird
I knew that she was lonely
She offered me her body
So I fell in love
With that slave dealers daugther...

Some Sin For Nuthin
Heroes, hard to find
Dont make the news till they do time
Schemers turn the screw
They get the word and they drop on you
Lay down the law black of the night
Run up a score, the vice is right
Dealers looking round, wheel is turning round
Coming round on you
Chorus:
Some sin for gold
Some sin for shame
Some sin for cash
Some sin for gain
Some sin for wine
Some sin for pain
But I aint gonna be the fool
Whos gonna have to sin for nothing
(now work that out)
Nero, evil mind
He was born way before his time
Lead em down below
You got it right and away you go
You gotta lay down the rules, push up the price
Turn on the heat, put you on ice
Dealers looking round, wheel is turning round
Coming round for you
Chorus
(give it to me)
Aint gonna sin for nothing
Dont get nothing for nothing
Aint gonna sin for nothing
That dont make no sense

Babylon
Forever, youll be remembered as the one who played it cool
Whenever they speak your name theyll say its you who broke the golden rule
But heres what I really want to know
Did you see the writing on the wall
Chorus:
Babylon
How long can this foolish magic carry on
Babylon
Who will love you when the fantasy of youth is gone
Babylon is it true that your streets were paved with gold
And did you play beneath the stars
Babylon did you know it would all come down to
How you played the dealers cards
Remember how you loved the laughter
A kingdom on the rise
Crys in the night would turn you to song
And when they call ooh you sang along
Heres what I really want to know
Did you see the writing on the wall
Babylon
How long will this foolish magic carry on
Babylon
Who will love you when the fantasy of youth is gone
Babylon is it true that your streets were paved with gold
And did you play beneath the stars
Babylon did you know it would all come down to
How you played the dealers cards
Its over you rate two pages in some book
Your legacy
Lost in the night and still you sing your song
For those who will take heed
Heres what I really want to know
Did you see the writing on the wall
Babylon
How long will this foolish magic carry on
Babylon
Who will love you when the fantasy of youth is gone
Babylon is it true that your streets were paved with gold
And did you play beneath the stars
Babylon did you know it would all come down to
How you played the dealers cards...

They have what you call a black night where they have black people come in for just one night only to watch comedy, and you get all your local drug dealers, thugs, prostitutes, all of them come in, sit down, and listen to you tell jokes. They the hardest people to make laugh.
Love Is Forever
(instrumental intro)
I dont want to settle down
Stop my heart and turn around
Rebel nature, just got to be free
Im in the right place, right place to be
Washers, dryers, dealers, and souls
Looking into the fire
Flat caps, whippets, lovers, and wives
Balanced out on the wire
And she said
Love is forever babe
Love is a tool
Servant for jesus
A slave for a fool
I look out through loves back door
I escape but not any more
Revelation help me see
Im in the wrong place, the wrong place to be
Washers dryers dealers and souls
Looking up to rise higher
Flat caps whippets lovers and wives
Balanced out on the wire
And she said
Love is forever babe
Love is a tool
Servant for jesus
Slave for a fool
Love is for worshipped
Love is a test
Love is a firebrand burnin
A hole in her breast
Love is ...

Cotton and Corn
Said Cotton to Corn, t'other day,
As they met and exchang'd salute--
(Squire Corn in his carriage so gay,
Poor Cotton, half famish'd on foot):
"Great Squire, if it isn't uncivil
To hint at starvation before you,
Look down on a poor hungry devil,
And give him some bread, I implore you!"
Quoth Corn, then, in answer to Cotton,
Perceiving he meant to make free --
"Low fellow, you've surely forgotten
The distance between you and me!
To expect that we, Peers of high birth,
Should waste our illustrious acres,
For no other purpose on earth
Than to fatten curst calico-makers! --
That Biships to hobbins should bend --
Should stoop from their Bench's sublimity,
Great dealers in lawn, to befriend
Such contemptible dealers in dimity!
"No -- vile Manufacture! ne'er harbour
A hope to be fed at our boards; --
Base offspring of Arkwright the barber,
What claim canst thou have upon Lords?
"No -- thanks to the taxes and debt,
And the triumph of paper o'er guineas,
Our race of Lord Jemmys, as yet,
May defy your whole rabble of Jennys!"
So saying -- whip, crack and away
Went Corn in his chaise through the throng,
So headlong, I heard them all say,
"Squire Corn would be down, before long."

You Have To Break
Even though it hurts
If you want some rhythm
To the music of the days
Otherwise
You’ll just leave yourself living
In the world of art dealers
You have to be alone
Even though it hurts
If you want to make
Some music to the ears
Otherwise
You’ll just leave yourself living
Amidst the white noise
It’s the price
Not hard to pay
If you really want to listen

Lightning
we hear the dealers with their words
that ride the tails
of their cigarette smoke
sliding through the tunnels of our ears
those greasy marionettes of
real bone and blood
stand on the corner of washington square
vision stinging
eyes blurring
elevators got your rising so high
17 floors you want so much more
elevators got you rising so high
17 floors you want so much more
there's lightning on the ceiling
coming from the corner of her eye...
somewhere horses flee from thunder
somewhere the bones of a cat
are buried under a garden
well ther's a radio on
broken songs empty digression
won't be ling to you and me are gone from here
lightning on the ceiling
coming from the corner of her eye

A True Poem About Drugs
I know a girl
who jumped out of a window
because she couldn't
have a fix
She broke her back
and her dignity
Lost her kids
and her dealers run away
I know a girl
who told everyone she was rich
so they would lend her a fix
They'll be calling
for their money today
I bet there's nobody there
She'll be somewhere else
giving someone else
her despair

Heroin
Snake And its charmer
Never have a home
Both tread their path
On foot
Both are travellers
One has its (cast off) skin
The other has the mendicant wrap
Life-long companions
Poison dealers
They 're partners in trade
One makes the poison
The other sells it
On the street!

Maximum Dream For Evil...
Well, were standin in the kitchen
And were cookin us some chicken
And the house is burnin down
And we dont really care
See the children of the dealers
Theyre all kissin their dead daddies
And their eyes are seein backwards
They cant hear but they can sigh
Exploding butterflies hit and run
E*** k****** jumped the gun
Well, as far as Im concerned
They all do it cause they wanna
So dont come around my backyard
Smokin marijuana

Kensington(through my eyes)
As I look outside my window,
I sigh thinking of what could be,
What should be,
And what is not.
There are drug dealers on the corner,
Stumbling over each other
Trying to make a dishonest living.
Dying over a sale.
Trash on the streets
To compliment the prostitues
Under the EL.
You ask, 'Is this Hell? '
No, for me it's home,
It's people are suffering right now,
Something's got to give,
People here are dying
Just trying to live.
The children roam freely
Among the chaos
Becoming immune to the destruction around them
Becoming used to being lost.
Then I look in my own home,
And I see the same images glorified on my TV
Skeletons in my magazines
Chaos in the news,
If I want change
It has to start with me.
