Thus, we see that one of the obvious origins of human disagreement lies in the use of noises for words.

Noises
(ian hunter/tommy morrongiello)
Noises are taking away my freedom.
Noises seem to rob me of myself.
Noises are the sound of mediocrity.
Noises ... to take that ... from out of myself.
Noises are taking away my casualness.
Noises are making me scared.
Big noises are made by big shots.
Some noises should never be heard.
Noises,
Noises,
Noises,
Noises,
Give me noises!
Noises are looking over my shoulder.
Noises are the sound of the herd.
Noises make the planet colder.
Noises are noises that should never be heard.
Noises,
Noises,
Noises,
Noises will destroy me.
Noises ...
Why not join some junky jewels, who wreck the clines on canvas fools
Who take the vapours from the mind. neo nothing. shallow kind.
A ritzy nazi owns the game, he plays at God but that was fame
And music masturbates his mind, and stones get rolled up in the slime
A new york butch becomes a blond, while changing gears while from beyond
Agree to consecrate the music makers have gotta take
Owls with trowels as big as spades, dig down among those sequined graves.
Work out their ages, turn the pages, caught in cages, locked in ages
Media momenta, who can prevent her.
Noises, noises, noises, noises
Did you find a certain street, theyre looking for thoughtless thoughts to preach
The street, the street, theyre not your drain, while waiting in the pouring rain
For your old lady out of work, brought the baby, bet your shirt
Waiting for godot did it, then whats happening the other end - rewards
And gallant knights with blunted swords
Locked away in isolation, trying to figure out why they wanna die
And thats the state of the nation.
Noises,
Noises,
Noises,
Noises, oh, oh, oh.
I love noises!

It Ain't Obvious
I keep trying
but I'm running out of ways to make you want me baby
I cannot be everything you want you drive me crazy
you're never satisfied
its not even worth a try times are for making up your mind
maybe we'll never see eye to eye
so treat me cruel to be kind
lets play it straight down the line
I'm sure you wanna be mine
but it ain't obvious
why cant you just let it be
what would you have me believe
I'm sure you really want me
but it ain't obvious
why don't you put a little trust in me
and let it go
if you don't take a chance
how will you ever know
baby im on your side
have I been foolish all along
have you been leading me on
just to walk away
if this is where you belong
so treat me cruel to be kind
lets play it straight down the line
I'm sure you wanna be mine
but it ain't obvious
why cant you just let it be
what would you have me believe
I'm sure you really want me
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
come on wont you be with me
what would you have me believe
come on wont you be with me
oh no no
if its not even worth a try times are for making up your mind
maybe we'll never see eye to eye
no no
so treat me cruel to be kind
(treat me cruel)
lets play it straight down the line
(it ain't obvious)
I'm sure you wanna be mine
but it ain't obvious
why cant you just let it be
(just let it be)
what would you have me believe
(me believe)
come on wont you be with me
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious
but it ain't obvious

Just Another Onionhead
The blessing of the turtles, the eggs lay on the lawn
Paint a pretty picture for me to sit upon
The calling of the rabbit, the falling of the hare
The hat man then begins to play, a song is everywhere
You want the obvious
Youll get the obvious
Tell them groucho said, youre just another onionhead
Another virgin mary, another case is shut
Have another helping, prime cut of babys butt
A sip of holy water, a shot of saving grace
Another western mystic, the words pore out my face
You want the obvious
Youll get the obvious
Ill shave my skull instead, be just another onionhead

Learning The Score
How many times have we looked at things
without really seeing what is there.
How many times later
have we regretted to ourselves
for being blind to what was there?
A human weakness I am afraid.
We only look at what is obvious
and not what lies hidden there.
Only seeing what we want to see,
then realising there was something more,
only when it is too late,
and we’ve learned the score.

Depression isn't obvious suicide is
Depression isn't obvious but suicide is.
My pain nobody sees.
My my mangled body they shall see.
My head was all but a mess.
Depression overtaking me.
Suicide was to be my bid for freedom.
Becuase deppression isn't obvious but suicide is.
Depression is never obvious even when its staring them in the face.
But now suicide will be obvious how can it not?
Now my life is too much to bear.
Suicide I shall commit.
Now its obvious but its all too late.

When I realized, in 1978, that Lucy did represent a new species of human ancestor, and that I had an opportunity to name this new species, I realized this was a revolutionary step in understanding human origins.

Undressing
beyond the undressing
of the fabric
lies the naked necessity
for living
beyond the skin the flesh
lies some more
of what cannot quench
thirst
beyond all these is
an orifice
a wound a penetration
of the human skin
vessels of our undefined
sorrows
the cartilage of our despair
not finding yet
its true name
beyond all these quivers
something that i confess
i still do not
really know. I like it here for
the meantime
licking ignorance
savoring my temporary
presence
on something so obvious
like your lips
the tickle beside the ears
i am here so i must be here
this is fulfillment
at a certain stage that i must
not regret
i cut and slice
at the half of what i can hold
i sigh at night
having taken what i could
i stare at the stars
still asking.

Words between words
Words between words
~
I try and say most things subtle
To slip words between words
In the hope you will read and hear
Sometimes I speak with blunt honesty
Sometimes wish I just didn’t speak
Sketching in secret characters
Telling stories built on fantasy
When a subtle look reveals
The obvious biography
Those words between words
What I write, what I speak
I understand words more than people
Words always seem easy
We all have things we wish to say
Some are said, others kept
All that is written then spoken
Are words between words

Tis Part Of Human Nature
I take them as i meet them of people i must say
And if some disrespect me in kind them i repay
Respect me and I'll respect you in that i do believe
'Tis part of human nature to return what you receive.
'Tis part of human nature for to like words of praise
A big boost to the ego and our spirits it does raise
Kinds words they make us happy when nice things one to us say
To feel flattered by the compliment that is our human way.
Some criticisms of us we see as quite unfair
And damage by lies done to one's character is quite hard to repair
Those who tell you that mud sticks are saying what is true
Never lie about another and give everyone their due.
'Tis part of human nature to stick by your own kind
Football fans in art galleries you are not likely to find
You show disrespect to someone that person will not respect you
And what you do to others unto you they will do.

Noises of Joy
If you want to make noise.
Make the noises of joy!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
They less annoy.
Too many backsliders on a ride,
That has driven many right out of their minds.
Too many entwined with crime,
That mankind finds and blinds!
There seems more hopelessness surviving.
More folks who are conniving in slime.
Just to have a pity party with those who tit for tat!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
They less annoy.
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
They less annoy.
Too many backsliders on a ride,
That has driven many right out of their minds.
Too many entwined with crime,
That mankind finds and blinds!
There seems more hopelessness surviving.
More folks who are conniving in slime.
Just to have a pity party with those who tit for tat!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
They less annoy.
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
They less annoy.
If you want to make noise,
Leave the pity where it's at!
Make the noises of joy.
You'll get a good feeling back!
If you want to make noise,
Leave the pity where it's at!
Make the noises of joy.
You'll get a good feeling back!
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
And leave the pity where it's at.
If you want to make noise,
Make the noises of joy!
They less annoy.
If you want to have joy,
Leave the pity where it's at!
If you want to have joy,
Leave the pity where it's at!
If you want to have joy,
Leave the pity where it's at!
If you want to have joy,
Leave the pity where it's at!

Human History
God and his angelic creation
that handsome heavy dude Satan.
Who had a stone age power trip; an
obeisance obstinate academic argument.
In that
shiekh neat
new earthly garden
hang out
paradise Eden.
Thus the entire embittered
progress.Whole gone
global course analysed
archaic human history.
Is merely
a mitigated fragmented
religious historical huff puff record.
Recording biased
progress pertaining to human heart
battled disagreement.

Baby Talk
This is a song about Spike
He is a bad ass guy
Who just happens to be
A really good friend of mine
Everyone I know...yeah
Who knows Spike too
Would agree when
I say the words
That Spike is cool
The problem with
my friend Spike
He has fallen into
a true love with a nice girl
Who has gotta lot of tattoos
He always talks crazy
Whenever she calls
He always talks like a baby
It's obvious now...
She has got him by the balls
She has got him by the balls...
She has got him by the balls
My weird little brother...James
And his ex-girlfriend
They would talk in those
ridiculous voices
We would all be hanging out
getting drunk in
the neighborhood
And they both would make
those ridiculous noises
He would always talk crazy
Whenever she calls
He always talks like a baby
It is obvious now
They have got him by the balls
I hate you
when you talk like that
I wish you could act like a
grown man
(they have got you by the balls)
I hate you
when you talk like that
I wish you could act like a
grown man
(they have got you by the balls)
I hate you
when you talk like that
I wish you could act like a
grown up man
(they have got you by the balls)
You will never see me...
walking that walk
You will never catch me...
talking that babytalk
(you know it's true...
they've got you by the balls)
Which brings me back to Spike
A good guy to have in a fight
Unless he was
With his girlfriend
Obnoxious on Saturday night
You know he couldn't care less
What anyone thinks
He does not give a damn
No, because he has no shame
He looks so happy
Just like everything is fine
He is oblivious to the fact
That he has no spine
He always talks crazy
(you have no shame)
Whenever she calls
(you have no shame)
He talks like a baby
(you have no shame)
It is obvious...
they have got him by the balls
I hate you
when you talk like that
I wish you could act like a
grown man
(they have got him by the balls)
I hate you
when you talk like that
I wish you could act like a
grown man
(they have got him by the balls)
You will never see me...
walking that walk
You will never catch me
....talking that babytalk
(you know it's true...
they've got you by the balls)
I am not going to let it
get to me
They've got you by the balls

Words
Words on this paper
Words in my head
Words while I'm texting
Computing
Unsaid
Words between people
Words on the phone
Words upon words
Even when I'm alone
Words from the Bible
I question
Don't mesh
Words from pornography
Making them flesh
Words with flat letters
Written in black
Good words and bad words
You cannot take back
Words that are shallow
Words that are deep
When they're too many
They put me to sleep
Words that I'm writing
And rhyming you read
Whatever I'm saying
There's prolly no need
Words from the alphabet
Words that can't be
When you are blind
And it's Braile that you see
Words that are worthless
And said on the fly
My words or your words
Are most likely lies
Words in a sentence
Wise words or fair
The only words earnest
Are those said in prayer

And I flow...
Unnamed river of mysterious origins
At the high mountains, am i
Flowing in multiple paths
From the terrains touched
Do I get my myriad names…
Some lock my flow
Some block my rhythm
Some quench their thirst
Some wash their murk
Some just pass me by…
I feed
I flood
And I keep flowing
Absorbing all yet at core
I’m what I am at my origins…

Stand Above Me
We always stick together
Like were something made of glue
And justify the passion
Saying one is more than two
But if you dont believe the words
Theyre surely to come true
Theres one thing thats so obvious
But its something you wont do
Because you stand above me
But I know you dont
You say you love me
But I know you wont
We always say were happy
When you know its never true
But I was just so frightened
Of the things youd say and do
But if you dont believe the words
Theyre surely to come true
Its starting to be so obvious
That its something you wont do
Because you stand above me
But I know you dont
You say you love me
But I know you wont
But if you dont believe the words
Theyre surely to come true
Theres one thing thats so obvious
But its something you wont do
Because you stand above me
But I know you dont
You say you love me
But I know you wont

Learn thoughts, not words.
Good in thoughts, not so in words,
Good in words and not so in thoughts
Human beings tend to be.
Thoughts are the binding force, not words.
Sincerity lies in thoughts
