'87 And Cry
It's just a one dollar secret
A lover's secrets in the UK
Torn apart in the UK
In the dribble of May-Day
'87 and Cry
'87 and Cry
And there's nothing inside
And there's nothing in mind no
And only you
Rocket on thru the sky
Well it couldn't be done without dogs
Yeah it couldn't be once without us
'87 and Cry
'87 and Cry
When the days were the days boys
When blue ties were for the bigg guys
Frannie dressing down for the enemy
You saw him hangin' on the enemy
And there's no one in love
And there's nowhere to scream no
And only you
Race on to wonder where
Well it couldn't be done without dogs
It couldn't be once without us
'87 and Cry
'87 and Cry
You can't make love with money
You can't make mistakes with babies
Nothing looked good on you
That's how I liked you best
Now you're ready for the real McCoy
Deep in the heart of Cupid
Murder on the heels of love
Just a ghost of a story
Just a one dollar secret
Baby these were the sounds
Baby these were the sounds
And only you
Whisper these things aren't true
Well it couldn't be done with dogs
Well it couldn't be once without us

Dogs (Homage)
Man’s best friend?
Why?
There is nothing quite as cute as a puppy
Dogs are more than pets, they’re companions
Dogs are fiercely loyal
Dogs protect life & property, even to their own demise
Dogs do not judge their masters
Dogs are grateful for any food fed them
Dogs can be trained to carry, guide, search, rescue and hunt
Dogs are great listeners
Dogs are ready to play anytime
Dogs are emotional sponges that absorb human misery
Dogs are wonderful match-makers and buffers
Dogs can chase away “The blues”
You can take a dog’s balls and he’ll still love you
Yes,
Dogs are 'Man’s best friend'
After all God is Dog spelled backwards...

Stray dogs
Here and there and everywhere
Stray dogs doing business
And barkedup wrongtrees
And spoiled the working
Environments.
Stray dogs have no
Commonsense not true
Stray dogs encounter
The alien.
Stray dogs safeguard
The interest
And ensure to make
The area clean.
Stray dogs welcome
Common mass
Stray dogs do not like
Corrupt class.
Stray dogs can only think
The morrows
Stray dogs have practical
Experience and knowledge
You know I know all know.

The End Of The World
Go if you want to
I never tried to stop you
Know there's a reason
For all of this you're feeling
Low, it's not my call
You couldn't ever love me more
You couldn't love me more
You couldn't love...
Me - I don't show much
It's not that hard to hide you
See in a moment
I can't remember how to
Be all you wanted
I couldn't ever love you more
I couldn't love you more
I couldn't love...
You want me to cry and play my part
I want you to sigh and fall apart
We want this like everyone else
Stay if you want to
I always wait to hear you say
There's a last kiss
For all the times you run this way
It's not my fault
You couldn't ever love me more
You couldn't love me more
You couldn't love...
Love me more
Couldn't ever love me more
I couldn't love you more
I couldn't love
You want me to lie not break your heart
I want you to fly not stop and start
We want us like everything else
Maybe we didn't understand
Not just a boy and a girl
It's just the end of the
End of the world
Me - I don't say much
It's far too hard to make you
See in a moment
I still forget just how to
Be all you wanted
I couldn't ever love you more
I couldn't love you more
I couldn't love you more
I couldn't love you more
I couldn't love you more

My Old Dog Keith Is Now A King
Had a dream the other night
about my old dog Keith
he was in doggy heaven
and he had loads of teeth.
On earth he wasn't handsome
as he only had one good eye
and he was always very nervous
and scared of even a fly.
But in my dream he looked brave
and looked well and really fit
and he was surrounded by other dogs
as on a big throne did Keith sit.
He had on his head a golden crown
written on it were the words Top Dog
he was no longer a timid wreck
who was frightened of even a frog.
Dogs were bowing down before him
and offering him meat on a plate
on Earth he couldn't chew food
but now he could which was great.
When Keith rose to his paws
all the dogs chanted his name
I was amazed how strong he looked
he now had a really powerful frame.
So my Keith was no longer a wimp
who was scared of almost everything
but here he is in doggy paradise
ruling over other dogs as a canine king!

Calendar
The winds couldn't blow it
The storm couldn't uproot it
Rain couldn't drench it
Sun couldn't bake it
Fire couldn't burn it
Despair couldn't strike it.
It remained on the wall
Little faded but neat
Unruffled by the rolling years-
January 1961…
The Road starts here!

What Would We Do Without Dogs?
What would we do without dogs?
Well, I'll tell you what we would do.
We'd wonder why they were taken away,
And ponder until we turn blue.
Why would we do all of this?
I'd do this because I care.
I care about animals and nature,
So to take away dogs, well,
If I were you, I wouldn't dare.
What would we do without dogs?
They say they are man's best friend.
So I guess the people would be sad,
Because it would have came the dogs' end.
Let's hope this never happens,
Until the end of time.
For now, while they're here,
Let's help and try and try,
To keep them here.

God and Satan are in order.
I couldn’t but acknowledge Fortune
As I couldn’t denounce Fate
I couldn’t but admit Spirits
As I couldn’t ignore Ghosts
I couldn’t but belief God
As I couldn’t dethrone Satan.
All inventions are man’s necessity.
The invention of God and Satan by man
Is of no exception and in order.

Still Alive
You turned me upside down and turned my insides out
But that's alright
You mad me laugh me made me cry then made me shout
But that's alright
But somethings keeps on beating in there
I guess my survived
I know i said i couldn't live without you
But i'm still alive
You took me out there on a trip and tripped me out
But that's alright
I'm still confused about what it was all about
But that's alright
They say it's better to be travelling than to arrive
But then they said i couldn't live without you
And i'm still alive
In the beginning we were there till the end of time
It isn't sinning to prepare for the kind of murder
That's not a crime
I guess i knew you guessed i knew when we were through
But that's alright
I'd tell you what to do if i could tell what's true
But that's alright
I think i'd better think it over
For a year of five
But then i thought i couldn't live without you
And i'm still alive

Gifted Puppet
I can see them now: invisible wires
running directly into the minds of your dogs.
You’d beat the drums until you found
their frequency of fear and fixed them to it.
Or shot them if deafness kept them free.
That wasn’t fine by me, but I didn’t
have the air for barking sympathetic pleas.
The fine cabling firmly fixed in place
your animals needed no leashes to speak of;
so keen did they seem to do your bidding
out on the moors, like distant extensions
of you and your intentions, obediently running
circles round dogs deprived of the protection
of your approval and throttling inhibition -
piano wire bound to some old darkness.
“Highly strung” was always a puzzling phrase
to a boy harnessed by thought strangling steel.
But I couldn’t be shot, and I couldn’t be sold
for the fortune that fear made your dogs worth
to men who craved the power in your forehead
to kill the light of my late afternoons.
Crunching tyres down the track, and the crack
of a door snapping shut, tuned a terrible tension
into your gifted puppet cowering low
behind the hills of my dreams.

Sonnet: Country-Dogs but…
Who says that country-dogs are unworthy,
And dogs that roam the streets are to be shot?
So, people use the term in sense filthy;
But Dogs or Dogs where-ever from they’re brought.
The Dogs I see are sensible enough,
And keep their bodies clean in ways they can;
But human beings to them appear rough;
By looking once, they know the kind of man!
And some have excellent memory also,
And remember your kindness for long years;
When strangers come at nights, barking they do;
Ev’n children need not have any fears.
They scour the land and become prey to snakes;
And some are dead, sometimes in nearby lakes.

Respect Your Dog
Respect Your Dog
Dogs have feelings like everyone else,
people treat them badly,
thinking they are beneath us.
Dogs help us spiritually, but people can’t see,
how they hurt man’s best friend dearly.
Now what species would leave its pack,
Live with another, be loyal and watch its back?
Dog is the sacrifice to save your life,
when wolf eats your dog,
you are only hurt
like an arm that’s been knifed.
Need I say more
to defend dogs galore?

What If
What if I couldn’t see?
I wouldn’t know how to be.
What if I couldn’t walk?
I wouldn’t be able to go to the park.
What if I couldn’t smell?
I wouldn’t know early monsoon shower smell.
What if I couldn’t feel?
I wouldn’t even know how to heal.
What if I couldn’t taste?
All the gourmet food would go to waste.
What if I couldn’t touch?
I wouldn’t know love as such.
What if I couldn’t cry?
I wouldn’t be able to let go of grief even if I try.
What if I couldn’t smile?
I wouldn’t be able to feel light even for a while.
I can do all of these things
Lord, it’s a blessing.
, These are the gifts
We realize when we are unfit.
I have really no clue
How the less privileged do.
I guess with courage and acceptance
They go on with grace.

Dogs In The Midwinter
You ever had a day like I had today,
When things are stacked up bad?
You look around and every face you see
Seems guaranteed to send you mad.
And you peer into those hallowed institutions.
And they bark at you from every side.
But the bite goes wide.
I see them running with their tails hanging low
Like dogs in the midwinter.
The prophets and the wise men and the hard politicos
Are all dogs in the midwinter.
Let the breath from the mountain still the pain,
Clear water from the fountain run sweeter than the rain.
Dogs in the midwinter.
The boss man and the tax man and the moneylenders growl...
Like dogs in the midwinter.
The weaker of the herd can feel their eyes and hear them howl
Like dogs in the midwinter.
Though the fox and the rabbit are at peace,
Cold doggies in the manger turn last suppers into feasts.
Dogs in the midwinter.
You ever had a day like I had today ---
Dogs in the midwinter.
You look around and every face you see ---
Dogs in the midwinter.
And you peer into those hallowed institutions.
And they bark at you from every side.
But the bite goes wide.
Were all running on a tightrope, wearing slippers in the snow...
Were all dogs in the midwinter.
The ice is ever thinner. be careful how you go
Like dogs in the midwinter.
And its hard to find true equilibrium
When youre looking at each other down the muzzle of a gun.
Dogs in the midwinter.

The Cape Hunting Dogs Of Africa
They run for hours on end each day through grasses gray and brown
Race antelope to a stand still and drag big zebra down
Outlast the speedy wildebeest their victims die in pain
Those amazing cape hunting dogs the hunters of the plain.
They have no sense of right or wrong they must hunt to survive
And their young in den some ten miles off without fresh meat won't thrive
The cape hunting dogs of Africa don't have sins to forgive
They risk their lives amidst flying hooves they kill so they
can live.
The cape hunting dogs of Africa are creatures i admire
They chase big game for miles and miles and never seem to tire
Their team work and companionship they live to serve the pack
They often kill ten miles from home and trot the ten miles back.
The cape hunting dogs of Africa live as true family
They chase big game for miles on end and work in harmony
They have no choice but kill to eat if they don't eat they die
And they risk their lives to serve the pack when hooves of hunted fly.

If Dogs Run Free
If dogs run free, then why not we
Across the swooping plain?
My ears hear a symphony
Of two mules, trains and rain.
The best is always yet to come,
Thats what they explain to me.
Just do your thing, youll be king,
If dogs run free.
If dogs run free, why not me
Across the swamp of time?
My mind weaves a symphony
And tapestry of rhyme.
Oh, winds which rush my tale to thee
So it may flow and be,
To each his own, its all unknown,
If dogs run free.
If dogs run free, then what must be,
Must be, and that is all.
True love can make a blade of grass
Stand up straight and tall.
In harmony with the cosmic sea,
True love needs no company,
It can cure the soul, it can make it whole,
If dogs run free.

Overall, we had about 50 meetings where the brothers would say that I couldn't do any solo records, I couldn't write for other people, I couldn't do this and I couldn't do that. These guys were trying to nail my feet to the ground.

The Dogs Of War
Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we dont discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather round and haggle
For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters dont know the web we weave
One world, its a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... one world
Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You cant stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast
One world, its a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... one world
The dogs of war dont negotiate
The dogs of war wont capitulate,
They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live
You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know theyve been there before
Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.
One world, its a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... one world
