A Seed Within

what are you going to do?
he might ask
are you going to wait

are you going to wait
for the seed to take root
bloom and bear fruit

leave it to me
he might say
i will give you the fruit in a capsule
you give me your seed...why toil
he would ploy

A FRUIT IN A CAPSULE IS'NT A FRUIT AT ALL

The path too is a joy
the growth too is a joy
from the seed to the fruit

a spiritual share is a joy too
the giver and the taker share the joy
if it was a share
which gave you joy
how can you use it
as a ploy

A Dream Of Evolution....

shall a seed be
a seed forever?

do you not dream
someday that it shall
be planted
so that it can sprout
and grow
and then finally see
its flower
and fruit?

must the flower and fruit
be just the same
like the rest of the histories of
the other seeds
of their own form and kind?

must i hope
for an evolution
a seed turning
into a bee
a bee into
a butterfly into wind
into star?

The Seed And The Fruit

sometimes the seed
wonders
after it has seen its fruit
if the same
has come from it

sometimes the fruit
is more luscious
sweet and
crunchy,
well loved and
sought, and
expensively priced

than what the seed
has expected

for all we know,
mortals as we
nature also makes
the surprises
of its genes.

Seed

Seed
Not perishable
Seed
The ultimate substratum
Of the whole creation.

You are the root cause
Of the entire creation.

You are all pervasive
And in all formed.

You are my seed
You are my root
You are with me
I'm in you.

O my seed
I have no
Other need.

Explore your potential and earn the heart of the world

Village mud road
Afternoon and the hot sun
A buffalo in its own slow pace
On its back a half naked boy
Sweat droplets twinkling

Seated and enjoying a mango
Making all efforts to extract
The entire flesh upto the seed

A clean and white seed
Now in his hand
Aiming to hit a crow
Sitting on a milestone
Innocently glancing left and right
Threw the seed at his full speed

Thank God, the crow flew unhurt

The seed finding its way
To a mud-ridden drain
With its drowning deep
Bubbles appearing
Pronouncing the end of
A mango fruit

But it was only a beginning

The seed fighting all odds
Sprouted establishing
In the stinking waste water drain

Growing steadily
To a sapling first
Then to a big tree
Now standing tall
With branches in all directions
Bearing sweet fruits
Now being exported and
Earning foreign exchange

Apparently a useless seed
Had this potential
Which when rightly exploited
Earned global recognition

Explore your potential and
Earn the heart of the world

A New Beginning...

every sprouting seed
preaches hope
every new leaf says
i am an evidence
every fruit manifests
we are ready to serve
and when everything
is ripe and luscious and
ready
when no hand picks them
when there is no child
the inevitable happens
each fruit rots and falls
and gets foul and
conquered by molds
and moss and will finally
be gone
except the seed
who has the last say again
about hope and its
new beginning.

A Dead Leaf

between these two shores
i float like a dead leaf
am not dead either..
if i was i will not feel the pain

budded flowered and became a fruit
on one shore
eaten and as a bare stray seed laid
at the other shore

as a seed i did germinate
the mother root grew into a tree
an off spring flower and fruit came by
all along as a seed i thought i was the tree itself

I NEVER THOUGHT I WILL LOOSE
MY IDENTITY AS A SEED
CAN A TREE SHOW ITS SEED
EVEN IF IT WANTS TO

ALL ALONG...

I thought i was the tree itself
may be i was a part of each part
the stem to hold, the leaf to nourish
till fate wind blew me down as a dead leaf

today as a dead leaf i float
wanting a living from one shore
wanting relationship from the other
as a dead leaf i float..am not dead with pain

ALL ALONG....
I DID THINK I WAS THE TREE ITSELF
BEING JUST A SEED

Help Us Continue Our Legacy

As I ripe I get dropped
From the tall tree
That was supporting me all through
I was a flower
Later blossomed
Got fertilized
Turned a unripe fruit
Kept hanging till the time I became a fruit
My thin skin becoming dark blue
My flesh over my big seed turning violet
I did not what happened to my mother tree
Unkind she proved as
She allowed me to fall her height
I suffered as my skin got ruptured
Exposing my violet inside
Staining the ground where I reached
As I looked around
I realized that I am not alone
As many of my brothers or sisters
Were also seen on the ground
After the fall I could not move
As the ousted flesh of mine
Made me stuck to the spot of my fall
My mother was just looking at me
With no attempt seen from her
To comfort me or to attend my wound
As our mother was a road side tree
We, fruits, were lying immobile on the road
Pedestrians, cyclists, two wheelers and cars
Ran over many of us
Coloring the path way violet
And also crushing our soft seed beyond recognition
I wonder whether we are born just to be
Smashed like that or we are born
To be consumed by others
For the purposes of propagation of our order
I have a request to people who walk over us
Kindly bend down pick us up
Blow air over the exposed flesh to remove adhered dust or sand
Put into your mouth
Enjoy the taste of a wonderful fruit
After ensuring you have eaten the entire flesh over the seed
Spit the same on soil
Where it will sprout and become a tree
Thus helping us continue our legacy

All Around

1

You are with me
And there are goodness
Victory and glory
all around.

2

I rejoice again
and again and again
at your presence
and for sacred and
mystic conversation.
The most wanderful
Forms I have
ever seen.

3

I have seen in you
what is out of sight
I have heard of you
what is out of hearing
I have grasped
what is out of grasping
It is only due to
my poem my emotion
Without which there
is vacuum.

4

I have seen the battle
battle with myself
battle with my kith and kins
battle with past Present
and future and got nothing
and lost everything.
This battle is between
mine and yours.
This battle is between
ignorance and knowledge
and a troublesome voyage.

5

Mighty most talented heros
warrior chief all present.
Fight is unavoidable.
Tacitly or expressly
You have to play your
role to declare result.
Who am I?

6

Vanishing everything
so also I.
I a vassal
and not in a
position to keep
all me dream here
in this field.
Though appear
I am not able to
answer in the exam.
Night begin night end
Day present
that I never want.

7

To commit mistake
is but common
To realise and not
to commit further
is important.
Suffice to say
One has to face
and lose many a thing
though not his.

8

Entire family entire clan
entire nation become
entangled with this battle.
What to say
Nothing is personal
Belief not hearsay.

Automation

a seed that falls to the ground
from a dead, rotten fruit
cracks its covering and
sprouts

a tight bud soon
from a stalk opens up to become
a full blooming flower
with petals proud and
dignified

and so must you girl
be the seed and the bud
and be the full flower that you can be
in full automation

Paradise Seed

Where is the seed
Of the tree felled,
Of the forest burned,
Or living root
Under ash and cinders?
From woven bud
What last leaf strives
Into life, last
Shrivelled flower?
Is fruit of our harvest,
Our long labour
Dust to the core?
To what far, fair land
Borne on the wind
What winged seed
Or spark of fire
From holocaust
To kindle a star?

New Year

Seed-suffused
sober chariot at dawn,
resolute with visions
of a bounteous night

Seed-savouring
unwieldy wheels at noon,
supinely drunk
on the night's promise

Fruit-famished
tearful trunk at night,
wistful waiter
upon this new dazzling dawn.

Kiwi

Fruit without a stone, its shiny
pulp is clear green. Inside, tiny
black microdot seeds. Skin
the color of khakiImagine
a shaggy brown-green pelt
that feels like felt.
It's oval, full-rounded, kind
of egg-shaped. The rind
comes off in strips
when peeled with the lips.
If ripe, full of juice,
melon-sweet, yet tart as goose-
berry almost. A translucent ring
of seed dots looks something
like a coin-slice of banana. Grown
in the tropics, some stone
fruits, overlarge, are queerly
formed. A slablike pit nearly
fills the mango. I
scrape the fibrous pulp off with my
teeth. That slick round ball
in avocado (fruit without juice) we call
alligator pear:
Plant this seedpit with care
on three toothpicks over a glass
of water. It can come to pass
in time, that you'll see
an entire avocado tree.
Some fruits have stones, some seeds.
Papaya's loaded with slimy black beads.
Some seem seedlesslike quince
(that makes your tastebuds wince.)
Persimmon will
be sour, astringent 'until
dead ripe,' they say. Behind
pomegranate's leathery rind,
is a sackful of moist rubies. Pear,
cantaloupe, grapefruit, guava keep their
seeds hidden, as do raspberry, strawberry,
pineapple. Plum, peach and cherry
we know as fruits with big
seedstones. And fig?
Its graininess is seed. Hard to believe
is prickly durian. It's custard
sweetand smells nasty.
But there's no fruit as tasty,
as odd, or as funny
none
as fresh-off-the-vine New Zea-
land kiwi.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter XIX: Fruits

grow the fruit till it's big enough
grow the fruit till the color turns red
grow the fruit till it smells good
grow the fruit to be cooked
don't be tricked of what is edible
a beautiful fruit can be sour
a big fruit can be raw
a delicious fruit can be poison
a cooked fruit can be forbidden
be careful of what is edible

Pluck A Plum Where There Is No Tree

PLUCK A PLUM WHERE THERE IS NO TREE

God who freed
from fruit the seed
can pick a pear
from a baby tree.

God who sired
the hallowed fig
does harvest fruit
from a barren sprig.

God made blooms pastel
and bright fruits
and can a kumquat take
from a tree of quince.

Who made Pluto and
the Pleiades
can pluck a plum
where there is no tree.
