Compassion
Humanity's ego, to resort to violence
To settle conflicts, makes no sense,
And yet we still have not learned
The art of peace for which we yearned.
To love our neighbour as our self
And put our grievance on the shelf,
Could this be in our gracious hands?
To bring compassion to troubled lands.
With each hill we have to climb
Life is lived one day at a time,
Let the tears of yesterday's storm
Bring a smile to a new day born.
For everything to be humane
We need to be compassionate and sane,
‘Too lightly on life's scales
Compassion weighs, and prevails....

Truck
Children all have saviours
Children don't care who saves us
Round the corner, round the bend
Fingernails torn to the end
Bring back, bring back
Bring back, bring back on me
On me
I told them, we scold them
Can't console them always
Toy soldiers falling
Dominoes, but who knows?
Bring back, bring back
Bring back, bring back on me
On me
Yeah and I dream of falling stars
And tokes for all my friends
And I will live forever
Yeah and I dream of all I'm worth
And all along the way
And I will never even
Yeah and I will coast through falling prayers
And all along the way
And I will always listen
Bring back, bring back (I)
Bring back, bring back (Or)
Bring back, bring back (We)
On me....
Bring it back, bring it back on
Bring it back, bring it back on
Bring it back, bring it back on

Bring Him Back
(pomus / shuman)
Oh, bring him back
If hes too much for you
And you dont know just what to do
Just send him right on back to me
cause Im still the fool I used to be
If its only just for a day
Ill take him back any old kinda way
I aint fooling anymore
Been crying since he walked out the door
Dont know what to do
Dont know where to go
You know I love him so
You know so wont you
(bring him back), mmm
(bring him back)
You know you gotta bring him back
(bring him back), ooh, yeah
(bring him back), mmm
Just bring him back to me
(I want you to bring him back)
(I want you to bring him back)
(I want you to bring him back)
Oh, bring him back to me
My life is full of misery
Let me play with the boy
Let me be his little toy
Oh, bring him back to me
My life is full of misery
You know you gotta bring him back
Ah, ha, youve gotta bring him back
Oh, bring him back to me
Oh, my life is full of misery

Compassion
You want more, and still more,
Until you get more than you ever bargained for.
Now its plain, clear as rain,
Ive seen your symptoms many times before.
Lying on your bed of pain
What will you have now?
What are riches untold in a life without compassion?
For theres no winter as cold
As a life without compassion.
Theres no prescription thats sold
That can heal you like compassion.
Well you tried and you cried,
And let your disappointment make you hard inside.
You have doubt, you reach out,
Still youre the only one you care about.
Hiding in your sack of woe
What do you need now?
For there is nothing so sad
As a life without compassion.
And even love has turned bad,
It was love without compassion.
And you dont need what you had
cause you did not have compassion.
Dying on your bed of pain
What will you have now?
Youll get no judgment from me,
I can only feel compassion.
And if thats what you need,
I will give you my compassion.
Just dont forget about me
cause we all need some compassion.
Open up your heart
So you can start to feel compassion.
Get down on your knees,
Pray to heaven for compassion.
Everybody needs compassion.
If you want to be healed
Then you know you got to feel compassion.

A love for humanity came over me, and watered and fertilised the fields of my inner world which had been lying fallow, and this love of humanity vented itself in a vast compassion.

The Pessimist In A Poem...
the sickness of humanity
is looking for a cure
and trusting about the herbs of
words
humanity keeps on writing
until it finds the
cure,
there seems to be
nothing,
there is no remedy
on the sickness of our humanity
it begs
nothing is given
it is thirsty and remains
to be one
it is hungry (for love, for compassion
for warmth, and understanding
for food
and shelter and embrace)
and it so remains to
be one
hungry world
there is no cure, its sickness
remains forever
until you come in
to tell the world that it is wrong
you are the savior
of this sickness of humanity
when you cease to be
one of them.

Compassion and Anger
Compassion and anger were my only love
Came to me winging like a lonely dove
Gimme some loving from the Lord above
Compassion and anger
Down on the quayside things getting rough
Somebody trying to prove they are tough
Compassion and anger will soon call their bluff
Compassion and anger
Compassion and anger won't make you sad
Compassion and anger will just make you glad
What will you do when the world's turning bad
Without compassion and anger?

The Amazing Power of Humanity
People here, people there
People using their power everywhere
Humanity toward others
With a humbleness not seen by many
The power, the excitment seen on faces when people give and recieve
It's so bloody tremendous!
We all have that power to provide to others
But not all are giving, some take
Some really show it's fake
It's amazing, the power of humanity
Being humble without a grumble
Even if you stumble
It's OK
Never give up, humanity needs you
For with your power, you can break though
The strength that you show provides many others with comfort
A feeling that they too can grow
Humanity, the power, the freeing
The true caring, wow, what a passionate feeling
If only more would show such compassion for others
Maybe then humans could all truly become one
That's the true amazing power of humanity

Bring Your Lovin' Back Here
Say you're the dreamer
And come dream on
Say you believe her
And believe in me
So bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
I can't deceive ya
Won't you be with me
I didn't leave ya
It's you leaving me
'Cause you're not sure
With all your wealth
I wanna see you again
So bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
I wanna take you out tonight
Punches would be rolling
Blood it would be flowing
I can't fight
You're bound to put one in my eye
But this is not about you
This is about me
So bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Bring your lovin' back here
Please don't leave me alone again
(Don't leave me alone again)
Please don't leave me alone again
(Don't leave me alone again)
Please don't leave me alone again

Goddess Is Returning
Goddess is the emotion, God is the intellect.
Goddess is feminine, God is masculine in respect.
Goddess is coming back to renew her place
her place in humanity is where she will now grace.
Goddess's empathy that comes from the heart
will bring peace to humanity and make a new start.
Ending all wars, and ruthless acts
Goddess will bring feminine love which the Earth plane lacks.
Look to nature to see these truths
you know now Goddess will grow and not be refused.

Sonnet: Compassion
Compassion is one thing we all expect
In life on earth, from womb to tomb endless;
In giving it, we seldom are perfect;
We live our life that is not just selfless.
The handicapped expect much compassion;
So does a newborn child suckled at breast;
Who cares about a beggar’s life’s passion?
Compassion is a must for ev’n a beast.
When God can shower compassion on us,
Why not all earthlings on one another?
If we can show compassion without fuss,
Much more will be bestowed on us, brother.
Compassion is an attribute of man,
And giving it is easy, if you can.

A Sparrow's Thoughts... (Number Two)
forgiveness comes easy for those
who have dared to look in the mirror!
it is most difficult to judge the
reflection of ourselves!
hate is merely love poisoned by fear...
and fear, the bloody sword of ignorance!
if we spent less time preaching about
superficial morality, and more time
acting out of compassion, being aware
both of our own humanity, and the
humanity of all others....
we would come much closer to being godly!

Love & Compassion
I used to think love was a dying art
Compassion couldnt live within a crowded heart
I saw my freedom in a poor mans eyes
Hope like a light, will to survive
A sense of dignity to hold up high
These are the simple things
That keep us all alive
And though the rich buy power for a time
One thing that money cant buy
Chorus
Love and compassion
(only) love and compassion
Give it to you
Give it to me
Love and compassion
(only) love and compassion
Thats what it takes
(give love...youre gonna feel love...
Ooo... feel love... youre gonna give love)
One night when I was feelin all alone
I saw a shadow walking in the danger zone
I knew that I would have to make a choice
Hunger in my heart, hunger in my spirit
We wont be free until we equalize
The price of power to the price of every life
And though I know its gonna take some time
Someday were all gonna find
Love and compassion
(onlv) love and compassion
Give it to you
Give it to me
Love and compassion
(only) love and compassion
Thats what it takes to relate
Love and compassion
(only) love and compassion
Give it to you
Give it to me
(oniy) love und compassion
Thats what it takes
(give love... ooo feel love... youre gonna
Feel love... if you give love)
Love und compassion
Love und compassion
Love und compassion
Love und compassion
Love und compassion
(only) love und compassion
Give it to you
Give it to me
Love and compassion
Someday were gonna find it
Oh when I was alone
And I reached out for more
I just opened my eyes
Love und compassion
I know it will take some time
But you know were gonna make it come true
Love and compassion
All my love and compassion
Love und compassion
Love und compassion
All my love, all my love und compassion
Someday, someday were gonna find it, realize it
Take some time to give
Love und compassion
Hope iike a light, and a will to survive...

Your Love
[jay-z]
Christion.. listen
Uhh, jigga
How easy is that?
Lame mad cause the game that i, spat at his chick
So i had to double back quick, and clap at his click
Soon as the smoke cleared, i got back in his *bitch*
Tell that man son, i ain't your ave-rage
My-rap-is-as-sick-as-it-gets
All the while, hand my hand on her, ass and hips
Told her, "let's get gone; listen to christion"
Play full of smoke, take small pulls to choke
She almost overdosed, how them cats hold their notes
Know that the flow's no joke, mine strictly fold dough
And since you over age, and, i'm overpaid
We can play in the rover til the verse is over.. jay
[christion] (bring back your love) bring back your love babe
[jay-z] for the color y'all (bring back your love) funk dat

I mean don't, don't hate, congratulate
It's all good though (bring back your love)
Roc-a-fella incorporated, you know?
Enterprise baby, enterprise -- feel that?
Listen! uh-huh, uh-huh-uh
Christion, jigga, how easy is that?
Yea!

The Death Penalty
Bring back the death penalty screamed a lady as the blood ran, dripping from the cold concrete as her sons blood fled from its body. Bring back, bring back the death penalty screamed a mother as her child dies slowly watching the pools of life fade away from his eyes.
Bring back, bring back the death penalty screamed a mother while she watched her child being killed by the hands of another man, bring back the death penalty.
Bring back the death penalty as she screamed holding her dying child while he laid his last words and breath upon her chest. Bring back the death penalty she screamed in mercy so that she will so that she will no longer have to hold any more of her dying sons and lay them in graves before she lays in her own.
Bring back the death penalty she screamed as her sons soul left his body and he became another victim to a violent society. Bring back the death penalty, bring back our sons.

Wasn't It Sold a Long Time Ago
Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?
Integrity?
When did they lose it,
And who took that away?
Dignity and pride?
The last time I witnessed that...
It was on life support.
And I don't think they were able,
To bring any of it back.
Let's see...mmm,
Oh yeah,
Humanity?
Remember when homelessness, poverty and hunger
Were all associated with the inner city folks?
Now everybody wants to get into the act.
But...
Humanity?
Still has taken two or three steps back!
Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?
Jobs and...well, jobs!
Remember the terms downsized and outsourced?
Can you say...
Betrayal and deceit?
And add corporate greed to that.
High prices?
Low or no wages!
The economy is on the brink.
Banks are closing.
And...
No one dares to mention truth.
Or the pollution done to the environment.
Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?
Well...
Not too many are far away from ignorance.
So that can't be what they are wishing to take back.
And if it is the country they refer to?
Wasn't it sold a long time ago...
When racism was used as a distraction?
This country has been ripped to shreds!
With few wishing to prioritize,
A patching of this quilt done.

Bring em out of hiding
