Like Lincoln, I would like to believe the ballot is stronger than the bullet. Then again, he said that before he got shot.

Ballot Or The Bullet
Give me liberty or give me death
No truer words have ever been said
Well are you prepared for your very last breath?
Dont you dare start what you cannot finish
So when we face, face the adversary
No longer are we the minority
And when history repeats her hour
The pendulum will swing, swing into power
Though not in vain like our forefathers
Freedom, never had no room for cowards
For in the end, there will be equality
By any means necessary
The ballot or the bullet
The choice is up to you
The ballot or the bullet
Tell me what you gonna do
The sword or the pen
Can be held by the same hand
Whats it gonna take to liberate?
An emancipation, a false proclamation?
All these token words that you legislate
Sound a little bit absurd. hey! and a little too late
When a house is divided, it just will not stand
Once its decided, a line drawn in the sand
Ah! the ballot or the bullet
The choice is up to you
The ballot or the bullet
Tell me what you gonna do
The sword or the pen
Can be held by the same hand
The ballot or the bullet
The choice is up to you
The ballot or the bullet
Tell me what you gonna do
The ballot or the bullet
The choice is up to you
The ballot or the bullet
Tell me what you gonna do
The sword or the pen can be
The sword or the pen can be
The sword or the pen can be
The sword or the pen can be
The sword or the pen can be
Held, held by the same hand!

Bulletproof
Limb by limb and tooth by tooth
It's tearing up inside of me
Everyday, every hour wish that I
Was bullet proof
Wax me
Mould me
Heat the pins and stab them in
You have turned me into this
Just wish that it
Was bullet proof
Was bullet proof
So pay me money and take a shot
Lead-fill the hole in me
I could burst a million bubbles
All surrogate
And bullet proof
And bullet proof
And bullet proof
And bullet proof

There are many hands touching ballots after a voter drops his ballot into the ballot box. There is no guarantee of ballot secrecy for anyone, which makes the whole system vulnerable to intimidation and bribery.

1861
On Good Friday,1861,
Fort Sumter was the first decision done,
Soon disintegration of father, brother and son,
Lincoln made his choice and then,
Down went more than 600 thousand men.
On Good Friday 1865,
Hell spawned a dream Lincoln would tell,
He dreamt of sailing to an unknown horizon,
Four years to the day, having freed the slave,
Lincoln was shot, his destination- the grave.

Murder of Love
I was arrested
for murder
he asked me
to do it
I pulled the
trigga. I put
the bullet in
his heart
for love.
he was nothing
good for me
I put that bullet
in love
and let it die.
he was the
bullet to
my banga
I shot
him
in the
heart
now I
take the
charge.

With regard to the ballot, it is worthy of remark that no meeting has been held in favour of Reform at which the ballot has not been strongly insisted upon.

Oftentimes during the period in which conventions really did business, you had situations where the delegates were divided and you would have ballot after ballot before there was a final nominee.

In a far off summer
These are the fields, bushes and trees
where a boy cried heartbroken
in a far off summer,
when the bull
swiped his darling filly
with its horns
while she was drinking
at the trough
and that horse fell twitching
on her back
with her guts ripped out
and she had to be shot
and his older brother
brought the.303 rifle
with only one bullet
and was determined
to take the shot,
but the filly moved her head
and the bullet when up her nose
and there was blood everywhere
while she neighed in pain
and he ran as fast as he could
while weeping
to get some more bullets
and without a word
took the rifle from his older brother
put a bullet in the slot and cocked it
brought the firearm to his shoulder
and took a deep breath
before squeezing the trigger.
His favourite horse was slain
and the pain was great
and almost unbearable for him
and his brother tried to comfort
but there wasn’t anything
that he could do or say
to take that pain away.

Nobody But You
I really care a lot
Although I look like I do not
Since I was shot
Theres nobody but you
I know I look blase (note: blase - e with acute)
Party andys what the papers say
At dinner Im the one who pays
For a nobody like you
Nobody but you
A nobody like you
Since I got shot
Theres nobody but you
Wont you decorate my house
Ill sit there quiet as a mouse
You know me I like to look a lot
At nobody but you
Ill hold your hand and slap my face
Ill tickle you to your disgrace
Wont you put me in my proper place
A nobody like you
Sundays I pray a lot
Id like to wind you up and paint your clock
I want to be what I am not
For a nobody like you
The bullet split my spleen and lung
The doctors said I was gone
Inside Ive got some shattered bone
For nobody but you
Nobody but you
A nobody like you
Shattered bone
For nobody but you
Im still not sure I didnt die
And if Im dreaming I still have bad pains inside
I know Ill never be a bride
To nobody like you
I wish I had a stronger chin
My skin was good, my nose was thin
This is no movie Id ask to be in
With a nobody like you
Nobody like you
A nobody like you
All my life
Its been nobodies like you

SS Single Shot Executioners
to save ammunition
SS executioners
used one bullet
a single bullet
to kill a victim
SS killers
would attempt
to kill mothers
with small children
with a single shot
by shooting
the child first
the bullet passing
through child's
body into mothers

Washington and Lincoln
Come, happy people! Oh come let us tell
The story of Washinton and Lincoln!
History's pages can never excel
The story of Washington and Lincoln.
Down through the ages an anthem shall go,
Bearing the honors we gladly bestow--
Till every nation and language shall know
The story of Washington and Lincoln:
Who gave us independence,
On our continent and sea
Who saved the glorious Union!
And set a people free!
This is the story--
Oh happy are we--
The story of Washington and Lincoln.
Parents to children shall tell with delight,
The story of Washington and Lincoln;
Free born and freed men together recite
The story of Washinton and Lincoln.
Earth's weary bond men shall listen with cheer--
Tyrants shall tremble, and traitors shall fear--
When, in it's fullness of glory, they hear
The story of Washington and Lincoln:
Though on the war cloud recorded with steel,
The story of Washington and Lincoln;
Peace only Peace, can completely reveal
The story of Washington and Lincoln.
Thanks to the Lord for the days we behold!
Thanks for the unsullied flag we unfold!
Thanks to us, and in our time, was told
The story of Washington and Lincoln.

What Else Died With Bobby? (Memorial to a Dream)
The simple act of voting holds most
Political expression in this land
And now I often wonder, is a ballot
Only a smokescreen we hold in hand?
I remember eagerly awaiting
The first vote I might see cast
My youthful heart first time broken
Though it would not be the last
Many hopes were pinned that time
On a young and idealistic man
Who was just gathering momentum
When a bullet dropped him as he ran
Since then I’ve been disheartened
By pretenders to the throne
Who wave bright flags of promise
Then squandered confidences shown
The dreams of so many people
Are by needs linked to such men
Who promise to effect some change
Then sell their electorate out again
There is so much deep deception
That moves stealthily from ‘The Hill’
And now I am often left to wonder...
When that bullet found our Bobby
What else did it manage to kill?

Darwin and Lincoln - an ovation
Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln
Are, this year, two hundred years old.
Darwin’s theory shocked the religions.
Lincoln’s democracy shook the nations.
Darwin and Lincoln have made their enemies,
Who survive them to keep them alive.
Darwin and Lincoln made their theories,
Which survive them to keep them alive.
Darwin liberated us from ignorance
Let the vested interests die with age
Lincoln abolished slavery by law.
Let the spirit of tolerance rise to match.

The Fate Will Mock You
A hare shot, the bullet took credit.
The gun and the hunter followed suit.
A hare fleeing, the bullet blamed.
The gun and the hunter followed suit.
The fate witnessed both and smiled.

Sex Never Goes Out Of Fashion
She's the kind of girl who likes to do it stand up
From the back or anyway you want it, love
From the top if you keep it going all night
You're as good as the next for a fun time
Lookie here like a rabbit on the dancefloor
Party girl like you comin' in the back door
"c'mon boy, give it good, give an encore.."
Never leave a hungry sister begging one more
You keep it good and she'll beat you at your own game
Flip a switch and she's crying out her own name
Keep a lady happy as a little lamb
Give her head and you're riding on a sure shot
It's a sure shot... Honey, it's a sure shot
It's a sure shot, sure shot, sure shot
It's a sure shot... Honey, it's a sure shot
It's a sure shot, sure shot, sure shot
It's a sure shot... Honey, it's a sure shot
It's a sure shot, sure shot, sure shot
Wham bam slam it like a mama's man
Baby's on her back doin' the can-can
Such a babe-licious poco loco
Make her bob, make her beg and sweat it hardcore
Honky tonky lovin' keep her trembling
Funky style's never out of fashion, man
Keep it fresh with something for the weekend
Get some, daddy... You're riding on a sure shot

5. The Cat
The cat shot over the sleeping dog
And caught it with his paw
The cat shot over the table
Dog chased him through the door
The cat shot over the TV
And Landed in a chair
The cat shot over the ceiling light
Springs shot him through the air
The cat shot over the mirror
A cat gave him a fright
The cat shot over his image
But didn’t want to fight
The cat shot over the fireplace
Burnt tail on red hot coal
The cat shot over the hearthrug
Like a firework on a roll
The cat shot over the window ledge
Burnt curtains caught in the nets
The cat shot over in dad’s old car
For a visit to the vets
