We absolutely believed in Heaven and Hell, Purgatory, and even Limbo. I mean, they were actually closer to us than Australia or Canada, that they were real places.

Limbo
Written: kylie minogue/ dave ball/ ingo vauk
I see them all smiling
Those all around me
They tend to my wounds and alert my senses
And it would be nice
But Im not here
Im dreaming holding on
Time has no meaning
All of it wasted
It smothers me til theres no more air
When will it be
That I can breathe again
Im waiting in the void
(limbo)
Lost in limbo
(limbo)
Limbo limbo
(limbo)
Lost in limbo
(limbo)
This notion of needing
Has held me to ransom
And all I can do is avoid my mind
Dont make me speak
Or hear or look
Because Im hurting help me out
(limbo)
Lost in limbo
(limbo)
Limbo limbo
(limbo)
Lost in limbo
(limbo)
Im in limbo
Im killing time
Im killing time
Caught in the crossfire
Nobody gets it
Im finding it hard to contain myself
Take all my trust
And faith and hope
Until I need it once again

Closer To Heaven
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me all your love
Tell me now
Youre coming home tonight
Have some faith
In the love we share
Is it fate
Does darkness end in light
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Whered you go
Did you loose your way
Tell me now youre coming back to stay
In my hopes
Paradise is real
Horoscopes
Cant forecast how well feel
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me hope
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me hope

Canadians look down on the United States and consider it Hell. They are right to do so. Canada is to the United States what, in Dante's scheme, Limbo is to Hell.

Sonnet-Spare Us O Lord From Hell
0 let me stay God, at least in Limbo;
But never in the Inferno called Hell;
And sufferings eternal undergo;
None can ever escape to come and tell.
If only men knew 'fore-hand hell's story,
No one in mortal sin will fall surely;
And most will land only in Purgatory;
And some day head towards Eternity.
For Devils' sake, God made, the fire of hell;
No human soul must fall by ev'n mis-chance;
Into this abyss, Satan et al fell
To live in darkness for his evil dance.
Spare us 0 Lord, from hell, the worst sinner!
Lest devils have us live for their dinner.

Absolutely Everybody
Absolutely everybody,
Everybody needs a little loving,
Everybody needs somebody thinking of them.
Everybody needs a little respect,
And whatever it takes,
Im gonna get it.
Everybody needs a hand to hold,
Someone to cling to
When the nights are getting cold.
Im no different,
I am just the same,
A player in the game.
Absolutely everybody,
Everybody, everybody.
Absolutely everybody
In the whole wide world.
Absolutely everybody,
Every boy and every girl,
Absolutely everybody.
Everybody needs a human touch.
I cant live without it,
It means too much to me.
Everybody needs one true friend,
Someone wholl be there til the very end.
And absolutely everybody breathes,
And everybody, everybody bleeds.
Were no different,
Were all the same,
Players in the game.
Absolutely, everybody,
Everybody, everybody.
Absolutely everybody
In the whole wide world.
Everybody breathes,
And everybody needs.
Absolutely everybody.
Absolutely everybody.
Every boy and girl,
Every woman and child.
Every father and son.
I said now everyone,
Yes now everyone.
Everybody needs a human touch.
Everybody, everybody needs love.
Im no different,
I am just the same,
A player in the game.
Absolutely everybody.

Closer To Heaven
(lead vocal - eric woolfson)
Rising and falling lighter than air
Silently calling no one is there
Oh, bird that is flying so high and so free
Closer to heaven than you and me
Voices of strangers keep me from sleep
Guardian angels watch over the deep
A ship that is sailing way out to the sea
Closer to heaven than you and me
Visions of rain fall out of blue skies
Rivers of tears fall out of dry eyes
Answer my question tell me no lies
Is this the real world or a fools paradise?
Wind that is blowing so wild and so free
Closer to heaven than you and me
Closer to heaven longing to be
Closer to heaven than you and me
Visions of rain fall out of blue skies
Rivers of tears fall out of dry eyes
Answer my question tell me no lies
Is this the real world or a fools paradise?
Love that lies sleeping wakes in the night
Secrets for keeping that wont see the light
I look to the future and I hope it will be
Closer to heaven than you and me
Closer to heaven longing to be
Closer to heaven than you and me

Intellect
You might have possessed so many things
The stars, the sun, the moon, the whole universe
But if you have not possessed me
You possess nothing!
You are a blunt, a dullard dull
The beggar of the street.
You might be proud of so many things which
One can't have today but tomorrow can
And all these things dwindle when you distribute
But I am the exception and the opposite
The maximum use of anything is a poison
But I become the nectar if you use the maximum
You might have written on so many things
from hell to heaven
You might have composed so many poems
from complex to simple
But if you have not on me,
you have written or composed nothing!
you are neither a poet nor a writer.
you have not achieved anything either!
You might have believed on so many things
But if you have not believed me
You have believed nothing
As I am the unbelievable to believe
The strength, the power
If you hone me
I cut, cut very sharply
I create, create very absolutely
I can give the desires the wings
I can make fly the colorful dreams..
So hone me, hone me! hone me!
You might have sung so many songs
But If you have not sung the song of me
You are not a singer
You are a deaf!
You are a dumb!
So sing intellect! intellect! intellect!
Sing intellect! intellect! intellect!

The Operetta
The black signpost stands in silhouette with white letters & numerals.
Show the distances to certain places in miles/kilometers.
A Ragamuffin stood there motionless
Who's never been to a school try to read the details?
The arms show the direction to heaven & hell and some other places.
Heaven and hell exist in the same way.
But heaven is far beyond the hell.
This nondescript man cannot understand anything.
And he turned the loose signpost and vanished.
The ongoing long-suffering pilgrims (with their opera glasses)
Who were released from the open-prison?
And they were heading towards the signpost!

Slipping Away
All the world knows
yet none too well
to shun the heaven
that lead men to this hell
If all the stars
disappear and die
and I'm looking at an empty sky
oh I'll be damned
back behind the sun
this kind of love
can't be bought or won girl
And when every second counts
when the minutes
turn a night into a day
because the closer you get
the further you slip away
because the closer you get
the further you slip away
when the summer rain came
well it kissed our feet
and a magic moon lay down on our street
love and death
it's like war and peace
one single outreach
on this empty beach
cos you're damned if you do
and you're damned if you don't
want her to stay away hey
because the closer you get
the further you slip away
cos the closer you get
the further love slipped away,
slipped away
ooh
na na na na na na,
na na na na na na
slipping away,
slipping away
These plastic bags and
these crushed up cans
this twisted wreck
on some foreign land
better hold close
what you hold so dear
cos the vanishing point
is coming oh so near
All this world knows
yet none too well
to shun the heaven
that lead men to this hell
he closer you get
the further you slip away
cos the closer you get
the further love slipped away,
slipped away
he closer you get
the further you slip away
cos the closer you get
the further love slipped away,
slipped away

Australia
Opportunities are available in all walks of life in australia
So if youre young and if youre healthy
Why not get a boat and come to australia
Australia, the chance of a lifetime
Australia, you get what you work for
Nobody has to be any better than what they want to be
Australia, no class distinction
Australia, no drug addiction
Nobodys got a chip on their shoulder
Well surf like they do in the u.s.a.
Well fly down to sydney for our holiday
On sunny christmas day
Australia, australia
No one hesitates at life or beats around the bush in australia
So if youre young and if youre healthy
Why not get a boat and come to australia
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Everyone walks around with a perpetual smile across their face
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Everyone gets around and nobody can ever get you down
Well surf like they do in the u.s.a.
Well fly down to sydney for our holiday
On sunny christmas day
Australia, australia

God Bless Canada
This land strong and free
God bless Canada
While the sun shine across the sea
God bless Canada as we sing this song
God bless Canada
We stand together united as one
God bless Canada
Our hopes have never died for you
God bless Canada
We carry the flame with us in a long journey
God bless Canada
The eagles will soar high above the sky
God bless Canada
We show our true colors
God bless Canada
Our peacekeepers working together to bring peace home
God bless Canada
Home sweet home to us all

Woman is heaven
Woman is a heaven to man
And she is barren without man.
Man finds his heaven in woman
And shows her she is the heaven.
Woman for woman is a hell.
Two men together make a hell.
To turn the hell into a heaven,
Man and woman must cross over.
Heaven cannot be a heaven
If it has no inhabitants.
Woman must understand this fact
And accommodate man with love.

And wanted the goose to comment her songs,
Which she did as the propriety demanded.
The duck believed true the comments made.
A nightingale was singing alone unheard.

Teaching You To Pray
for you to be closer to
God you must learn to
pray every morning and
there is really no need of
any formula or chants
or creeds or novenas
talk to him like he is
your friend, he likes
friends he has already
more of those servants
and slaves and soldiers
and counsels. Befriend
God, that is prayer enough,
no mumbo, no jumbo

Move Closer
Hey' baby
You go your way
And I'll go mine
But in the meantime
Move closer
When we're together
Touching each other
And our bodies
Do what we feel
When we're dancing
Smooching and swaying
Tender love song
Softly playing
Move closer (move closer)
Move your body' real close until we
Feel like we're making love
Get closer
So when I say sugar
And I whisper i love vou (I love you)
Well I know you're gonna answer
in the sweetest voice yeah my sexy baby
I love you too
There's much room for passion, oh no, no
There no room for fears
When the love flows smoothly between us
my dear
Oh move closer baby
Come here girl
Let me hold you
You feel so good to me woman
Move closer) Let's get closer
(Let's get closer) Gonna make sweet love to you
Honey get beside me
And let me love you
My baby, baby, baby
I love you
So baby won't yoy
Move closer (move closer)
Why don't you move your body real close
Until we feeI like we're really' making sweet, sweet,
sweet, sweet, sweet love
Move closer (move closer)
So why don't you take me to heaven
Oh baby, to heaven, yeah
Let's take our time and do it right
Be going all night, yeah
It's gonna be a long night

Heaven & Hell
Sing me a song, youre a singer
Do me a wrong, youre a bringer of evil
The devil is never a maker
The less that you give, youre a taker
So its on and on and on, its heaven and hell, oh well
The lover of lifes not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner youll know that youre dreaming
So its on and on and on, oh its on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, heaven and hell
I can tell, fool, fool!
Well if it seems to be real, its illusion
For every moment of truth, theres confusion in life
Love can be seen as the answer, but nobody bleeds for the dancer
And its on and on, on and on and on....
They say that lifes a carousel
Spinning fast, youve got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well
And theyll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
Its heaven and hell, oh no!
Fool, fool!
Youve got to bleed for the dancer!
Fool, fool!
Look for the answer!
Fool, fool, fool!
