Of all religions, the Christian should of course inspire the most tolerance, but until now Christians have been the most intolerant of all men.

Not In Las Vegas
I don't wanna be alone,
Not in Las Vegas.
Don't wanna be alone.
Not in Las Vegas
No I don't wanna be alone,
Not in Las Vegas.
With neon signs flashing on the 'strip'.
To be busted and no bucks at all.
Not in Las Vegas.
To know no one with no friends to call.
Not in Las Vegas.
To be in a bind with no peace of mind.
Not in Las Vegas.
Not in Las Vegas.
I don't wanna be alone.
I don't wanna be alone.
Don't wanna be alone.
Not in Las Vegas.
To be busted and no bucks at all.
Not in Las Vegas.
To know no one with no friends to call.
Not in Las Vegas.
To be in a bind with no peace of mind.
Not in Las Vegas.
Not in Las Vegas.
With neon signs flashing all over the 'strip'.
And...
Not a single dime to show for it!
No I...
Don't wanna be alone.
I don't wanna be alone.
No I don't wanna be alone...
Showing nothing but some dust in pockets.
And...
Busted when I had a chance to split.
And...
No one visiting 'Vegas' should do this.
So...
Whatever one wins get up and split with it.
'Excuse me...
Would you happen to have an 'extra' ten dollars?
I will sing 'Moon River' for you.

Freedom Alas!
To Fredrick Douglass a new name was formed
as a sign of freedom from the captivity
he seldom forgets to quake when
oppressor draws near in fits of rage
for the praise abolitionist raise
To own a man isn't right
to beat a man for his own delight
and to antebellum south, dissent did fly
'til freedom alas should be his lot
away from the tyrant's whip
and the power of master's wife
to weeping over servant's plight
To all hatred - death shall rise
when humanity in all glory known
finds a way to journey home
and discovers in a heart of gold
tolerance beyond all discrimination
is found in the young love's face
a blessing and exalted place
far from the tyrant's hand
Safety alas in church of white
to find forgiveness in love of Christ
who cries over the broken from above
to rain down on hatred's head
Tolerance for the slave's own plight
that saved man in his own right
to live freed from darkness wrought
in time of discrimination bound
Where blind men rule the black man's course
and freedom so rarely found
constantly in thoughts of oppressed
until peaceful rest, fearlessly strong - at last
is found in a place where hope abounds
And wounds unseen are finally
bound up with careful love
that silences the wrath of the intolerant
in one simple inclusion where hatred dies

The Crazy Woman
she is a neighbor
they think she is crazy
what we have
we keep
tolerance and
tolerance
she asks for coffee
and cookies
watches tv
and decides which channel to watch
i am about to burst
until she gets away with
sanity
she says
what she has is tolerance
and tolerance for me
fair.

Vegas Dancing 2010
It was Vegas 2010
I went dancing with
Just met new friends.
It was Halloween night,
People dressed sleek and tight.
I jumped up on the platform,
Looking just right.
I had a mask on so no one
Could tell who I was.
It was funny just because.
People watching all my moves,
Dancing with all the grooves,
They started to imitate,
Which was great.
Then my fate I had to go,
There is always an end to a show.
It was a night I won’t forget,
I didn’t have to gamble or even bet.
In Vegas as the saying goes,
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Lets Go To Vegas
(karen staley)
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Kiss the single life good-bye
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Bet on love and let it ride
Lyin on the bank of the river
Stars are dancin, lord its hot
Holdin you is what I live for
I just had a crazy thought
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Kiss the single life good-bye
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Bet on love and let it ride
Well find a little wedding chapel
A pair of rings and a preacher too
Underneath the neon steeple
Well take a gamble and say I do
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Kiss the single life good-bye
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Bet on love and let it ride
Viva las vegas, sparklin lights
Dangerous livin, tumblin dice
Youre my ace in the hole now honey
And Im your lady luck
Pack a few things and a little money
And put em in the truck
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Kiss the single life good-bye
Hey baby, lets go to vegas
Bet on love and let it ride

Viva Las Vegas
(words & music by doc pomus and mort shuman)
Bright light city gonna set my soul
Gonna set my soul on fire
Got a whole lot of money thats ready to burn,
So get those stakes up higher
Theres a thousand pretty women waitin out there
And theyre all livin devil may care
And Im just the devil with love to spare
Viva las vegas, viva las vegas
How I wish that there were more
Than the twenty-four hours in the day
cause even if there were forty more
I wouldnt sleep a minute away
Oh, theres black jack and poker and the roulette wheel
A fortune won and lost on evry deal
All you needs a strong heart and a nerve of steel
Viva las vegas, viva las vegas
Viva las vegas with you neon flashin
And your one armbandits crashin
All those hopes down the drain
Viva las vegas turnin day into nighttime
Turnin night into daytime
If you see it once
Youll never be the same again
Im gonna keep on the run
Im gonna have me some fun
If it costs me my very last dime
If I wind up broke up well
Ill always remember that I had a swingin time
Im gonna give it evrything Ive got
Lady luck please let the dice stay hot
Let me shout a seven with evry shot
Viva las vegas, viva las vegas,
Viva, viva las vegas

Here's To Las Vegas
Here's to Las Vegas,
It's one of a kind,
Here's to the smiles all around
Neons are flashing
'Bout music and passion
All over town
Here's to the winners
Cheers to them all
Everyone's winning today
Forever, for always, for everyone
Here's to las vegas
And I'm here to stay
(bridge)
Oh....There's no place anywhere like this heaven
Oh....There's music everywhere, playing 24/7
Here's to las vegas
This talented town
To the legends that gave it a start
Here's to elvis and sammy
Dean and Jerry and Frank
They're in our hearts
This one's for you
Thanks for letting me do
What I'll do till the end of my days
Forever, for always, for everyone
Here's to Las Vegas....
And I'm here to stay!!!

Tolerance
So
Of your own choice
You taint tolerance
As you're doing so
I'll watch tolerance speaking
On
A mother's painful accouchement
Infant's strifeful birth nascent
The child-raising problems
With conjunct ailment-problems
Tradition's manacles
Along with social obstacles
Matrimony's undone supression
Connubially dispirited depression
Familial temper of moods
Unfamiliar play of crooks
Stealthy years most unhealthy
Departed in homes all filthy
Empyreal war of human culture
Evanescing pattern of life's nature....
Now
Sh..tolerance is silent, isn't speaking
A silent fight within the self on going
All shades of somber mood
Sad and hatred incurred
Darker shades of rainbow colours
Drowning with the brighter colours
A built-in patient
In the heart of a live monument..
So
Of what colour your choice
To taint tolerance

To let out hatred
I exert hatred through abuse and curse.
I leak hatred by sulks and silence.
Gossips and revenge are other outlets.
Hatred explodes in quarrels and slanders
Being jealous also a hatred
To cut jokes too is to expel hatred.
Hatred is faeces inevitable.
Not to constipate, it must be let out

Tolerance Through The Year
A little bit of tolerance lives
Within your heart each day,
When you do a worthwhile deed,
Give a word of encouragement away.
Do not save your kindness
For just a special or selective time?
We all want to be loved and accepted
And live in a world that is fine.
Give a helping hand to someone,
Instill hope and spirit today.
The things that mean the most
Aren't always those for which we pay.
Racism and discrimination has not faded,
Many people live in hatred and fear.
So, keep tolerance living in your heart
And it will grow immensely every year.

Love and Hatred
Love is not so heavy as hatred,
Love is gentle and soothing,
While hatred is rude and disturbing,
Love is an attribute of God,
While hatred is the quality of devil,
Love makes,
Hatred mars,
Love teaches how to live,
Hatred is tired of life,
Love is soft as gentle rain,
Hatred is hard as drought,
Love is deep like an ocean,
Hatred is shallow without commotion,
Love makes sacrifice,
Hatred escapes sacrifice,
Love is everlasting,
Hatred is transcient,
Love releases fragrance,
While hatred stinks,
Love relies on heart,
Hatred relies on mind,
Love loses,
Hatred gains,
In a nutshell,
Love is life,
Hatred is death,
So let's spread love.
