You have to know exactly what you want out of your career. If you want to be a star, you don't bother with other things.

I Met a Celebrity
My family went to Hollywood.
There were plenty of things to do.
I decided on that trip
To make one of my dreams come true.
It was hot outside,
But I was looking cool,
Sitting in a chair
Right beside the pool.
I wanted to meet a big star.
It couldn't hurt to try.
I'd give that star my best smile
And charmingly say, 'Hi.'
Maybe the star would like me.
I'd become that star's best friend.
We'd go on star adventures.
The fun would never end.
We might travel by limo
Or fly in a private jet.
Maybe we'd sail on a yacht.
That would be better yet.
Don't bother to fuel the jet
Or look for the limo keys.
I did meet a star by the pool,
That star was Chuck E. Cheese.

Your job is not your career
I responsible to my job, I fight for my career
I bound to job, I grow with career
Job is described, career is developed
Job is fulfilled, career is achieved
Job is for living, career is for life

Without a car in Pretoria
There are few things that bother as much
as to look for you car
and almost to count the other car’s,
when you come round a corner
and to be without a car in Pretoria
and to know the fear
that it is stolen.
There are fewer things that bother as much
as when two of your cars get stolen
and something is wrong with the insurance of both
and to be without any car in Pretoria
and to tell everyone that you call
of your predicament
and no Police ever being able to find any car
and every similar car that drives by
looks to you like the stolen one
and the robbers are now much better off than you.
There are few things that bother as much
as to walk
and stand with a hand stretched out
and the worst is to tell other people
and to be without a car in Pretoria
and to read comprehension in their eyes.

Did It Rain Heavily Last Night?
i fell asleep
deep and
sound like
you i felt
i was dead
did it really rain
heavily last night?
the road is muddy
and i cannot take
a walk this morning
don't bother
i can go barefoot
don't bother
i like the mud
don't bother
i like being dirty
don't bother
the sun dries them all
and the water
at the pump
shall clean them all
don't bother
i am still alive.

Dont Bother Me
Dont come round here looking for my sympathy
Dont come round here looking for my prayers
You spent the eighties in a trance
Yeah you led us all on a merry dance
Now its sad to say that I dont care
You were always advocating power games
You were always gonna be a star
You made your money, had your fun
Made a video bout how its done
Aint put it in my vcr
So far
Dreams fall into disrepair
Theres a change in the air
Your lies
Will lead you to despair
Dont bother me
(castles in the sand slip through your hand)
Dont bother me - I dont give a damn
Dont bother me
(try to understand its in your hand)
Dont bother me
Well no amount of liquor, babe, can drown the blues today
No amount of pills can ease the pain
When the body electric and the vision thing
Is all it takes to make the people sing
Lets hope we dont get fooled again
My friend
Dreams fall into disrepair
Theres a change in the air
Theres a girl who says she cares
And her love
Will leave you standing there
Dont bother me
(I cant change your mind when youre so blind)
Dont bother me - I cant spare the time
Dont bother me
(takes an ocean wide to turn tide)
Dont bother me - love cant be denied
Dont bother me
(castles in the sand slip through your hand)
Dont bother me - I dont give a damn
Dont bother me

I appreciate the idea that anybody would think of me as a star. But I'm really not career oriented in the sense that I want to be a star. It's not in me. It's not what I do. In fact, I'm amazed that I've even gotten this far.

There's no one actor in particular that I want to model my career after, except for the people who have been able to keep their career varied and who choose things that interest them. That opportunity is all I really want.

After Leaving Las Vegas I did assume that things would get a lot easier than they've been. But it's just been a mirror of the way my career's been from the beginning, so for it to have changed would have been strange. My career has never been perfect.

I Know For Me There's No Benefit
Why did you abandon my love,
And then announce it missing?
Then you called all your friends to tell them,
Not even a glance from me you are getting.
Why do you pretend and lie to your friends.
Why don't you tell them you're the reason we ended.
I know deep inside you have a love for me.
And I know you wish to control what can't be.
You wish to have it your way and that's it.
And I will not take anybody's,
'S' with an 'H' and a 'T'...not me!
Nor to moods or attitudes,
From another will I commit.
Not if I know there's no benefit.
I know deep inside you feel something there,
For me...
To be revealed,
For YOU to see.
Why did you abandon my love,
And then announce it missing?
You wish to have it your way and that's it.
And I will not take anybody's,
'S' with an 'H' and a 'T'...not me!
I'm not into that kind of play.
Not if I know there's no benefit.
Or a connection to my feelings meant.
Why should I bother,
When there is no love in it for me meant.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
And I know for me there's no benefit.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
When there is no love in it for me meant.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
And I know for me there's no benefit.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
When there is no love in it for me meant.

Take it easy
Sometimes it’s hard to find a simple place of mind
Try and try as hard as you can
You have wonder across this great big land
Still you can’t find so you got to
Take it easy
Don’t bother with the pain and strife
For it will make you lose your life
So don’t bother to get uptight
Take it easy
Remember to take it slow
Plant good seeds and they’ll grow
You’ll be happy before you know
It doesn’t matter who you are
Not everyone can be a star
So be satisfied keep your eyes open wide
Take pride in the things you do
And happiness will find you
Take it easy
Don’t bother with the pain and strife
For it will make you lose your life
So don’t bother to get uptight
Take it easy
Remember to take it slow
Plant good seeds and they’ll grow
You’ll be happy before you know
Sit back my friend and watch worlds collide
Life is a journey so try and enjoy the ride
You are truly blessed so fill your heart with pride
Come what may it’s your choice you decide
Sometimes the road will narrow
Still keep your eyes on the sparrow
Trod lightly in the dark
For every flame starts with a spark
Take it easy
Don’t bother with the pain and strife
For it will make you lose your life
So don’t bother to get uptight
Take it easy
Remember to take it slow
Plant good seeds and they’ll grow
You’ll be happy before you know

I've tried in my career to do most everything, because it all intrigues me. And I've found the first time I work in a new form, I discover all the things that make that an exciting medium. I've been very busy most of my career. I've had very few vacations.

A especial star...
Above the clouds there is a star
A star that looks down on me
A star that I makes my wishes shine
A star that brightens my path
A star that enlightens my world
A star that makes me feel loved
A star that makes me dreams come true
A star that breaks my loneliness
A star that makes me smile
A star that I up to and not down on
A star that protects me from my enemies
A star that brings my bliss and hope
A star that sticks to its promises
A star that supports me take me as I am
A star that never fades away...
A star that will live with me forever and ever.....

The Sister I Never Had
You are there for me
To hold me close
You know when it's right
To let me go
You never let me down
You always stay around
You always fight my corner
And keep my feet firmly on the ground
You are my star
You light my sky
And put that twinkle in my eye
You take me places
I've never been before
I've seen lots of things i've never seen before
You are my star
I may be taller then you
But that doesn't mean a thing
I look right upto you
To me you're everything
You're the sister i never had
You don't leave when the going's bad
I'll always need you in my life
I love you
I hope you know
All the things you do for me
I appreciate them all, i really do
I hope you know i'd do the same for you
You are my star
You light my sky
And put that twinkle in my eye
You take me places i've never been before
I've seen things i've never seen before
You are my star

My Star Shines Bright
No matter how dark things seem around me, my star shines bright…
When there is only Darkness…and no light…
My star shines bright.
When I am out in the night…
My star shines bright.
When there is no sun, moon, or any other star in site.
My star…Shines bright.
Things in my life my not always be fair…
But I have my star and its Sparkling Glare
My Goal is clearly not in sight…
But I can find it, with my star that shines bright.
I can see the light
With my star that shines bright.
My star…
Turns the darkness of the night
Into the sparkling sight
Of the Glimmering Light! !
My star…
Shines bright…

Favorite Star of Mine.
Far above in that sky,
Is a small star of mine,
Star where life exists,
That star shines brighter then light.
It is the star of fascination for me,
It is the star of my fantasy,
It is the star of my dreams,
It is the star that belongs to me.
A star that is all alone,
A star that is full of love,
A star where I have to reach,
A star of my dreams.
It is the star that lies beyond the sun,
It is the star of ultimate truth,
It is star of love and peace,
It is star where my soul lives.
It is the one to call me,
It is the one to attract me,
It is the one I’ll love to see,
It is the one I have to reach.

The sad news is, nobody owes you a career. Your career is literally your business. You own it as a sole proprietor. You have one employee: yourself. You need to accept ownership of your career, your skills and the timing of your moves.
