There are rumors, rumors, rumors. I'm always the last one to know about these things, literally.

Rumors and Lies

Rumors and Lies
Rumors and Lies
Humor no longer there
Wondering how you can bare
Going through the day like you just dont care
Rumors and Lies
Rumors and Lies
You hide in the bathroom
So no one sees you cry
Tears streaming down your face
Wondering how you got to this place...

Dawn Finally Arises

Anyone who has ever remained persistent,
With a fluid consistency...
Has met some opposition.
And is familiar with negativity.

It takes the gritting of teeth.
And the biting of nails,
To prevail even when failure may be in sight.
With a nipping at the heels of one refusing defeat.

And suddenly it seems,
That nothing but nightmares...
Have come to replace hopes and dreams,
When dawn finally arises to clear a bright horizon.

It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
It looks much different,
From rumors fed...
Of a dawn that would never turn on.
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
And...
I'm so glad I persisted.
To witness it to see,
For myself.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
It looks much different,
From rumors fed...
Of a dawn that would never turn on.
It looks a lot different,
From the rumors I heard...
Of a dawn others said was gone.
And...
I'm so glad I persisted.
To witness it to see,
For myself.

It looks a lot different,
The dawn!
When it is witnessed,
The dawn!
And...
I'm so glad I persisted.
To witness and to see it,
For myself.

be silent now, do not ever mention my name
the connotations of my name
the one i talk about me about you
and us,
the rumors are always sweet
and you like them and you cannot hold yourself
from spreading them
to everyone who knows the power of my name
its magic spell
its sweetness like a coconut dessert
with you now
my name shall have its stains and i will be in ruin

sssssssssssshhh, stop
do not talk about my name now,
the rumors may be sweet to the ears of my enemies
and false friends
they will have the dose now, of their own medicines,
thinking that i am down, depressed, or even dead
to the last detail of my own perdition,

i will rise to save myself and tell them all
that the rumors are not true,

i will show them a happy face and some dancing steps
some pictures of my big smile

no, they will not believe me
they will believe you, as expected, i have anticipated all these

today, i will die
laughing....

Falcon

They're near cracking.
And tracking a balloon,
On rumors.

They're near cracking.
And hoping that ballon lands soon.

A boy is claimed to be alone.
And flying on his own,
Alone...
High in the sky and crying.

But he was found to not have flown.
And hiding in a box.
Hoping that his daddy wouldn't fuss at him a lot.

They're near cracking.
And tracking a balloon,
On rumors.

They're near cracking.
And hoping that ballon lands soon.

'Falcon? '
~Yes, daddy? ~

~Yes, daddy? ~

'Falcon no more hiding to start rumors.'

They Know That They Don't Know

They know that they don't know!
And their opinions discloses the evidence.
Most of their knowledge has been obtained,
By innuendos and nonsense.
Leaving them exposed,
To an ignorance that shows.

They know that they don't know!
And any actions taken to comprehend...
Becomes entrapped by an inferiority,
Felt within them.

And that which escapes their understanding...
Is left out of their reach.
Although very close...
Are those answers they seek most.
But quick they fold their arms to their chests,
With stubborn hands to express...
Their choice not to hear,
What for them is best!

Declaring they wish not to listen...
Because facts distracts,
A consciousness they lack!

They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it...
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it...
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
Stubborn and they're limited.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

Rumors

Flowers on a bed
Lilies on a grave;
Every lived soul
Becomes a slave
To the love we want,
And the dying we get -
Life is rudimentary rumors
And salient storms;
It's an unfinished life
In many forms
Of all the stories we have heard from afar,
Rumors, of a Land where lives no regret -

You Reek of Fresh Rehabilitation

You are much different,
From the kind of person...
I heard you are and would be.

'Don't worry about it.
There are a lot of people I haven't met,
I don't like either.

Socially I rely upon rumors.
Few take the time to get to know anyone.
And with the rumors and gossip as good as they are today...
Why bother?
Who do you know sits around without something juicy to share?
Everybody seems to be riding on a downslide.'

But you don't have to participate!

'Oh please please please!
You reek of fresh rehabilitation.
Were you 'just' released from prison? '

In A Town This Size

In a town this size, theres no place to hide
Everywhere you go you meet someone you know
You cant steal a kiss in a place like this
How the rumors do fly in a town this size
In a smokey bar in the backseat of your car
In your own little house someones sure to find you out
What you do and what you think
What you eat and what you drink
If you smoke a cigarette theyll be talkin about your breath
In a town this size, theres no place to hide
Everywhere you go you meet someone you know
You cant steal a kiss in a place like this
How the rumors do fly in a town this size
Oh, I had a fight with my girlfriend last night
Before the moon went down it was all over town
How he made me cry how I said goodbye
If its true or not doesnt seem to count alot
In a town this size, theres no place to hide

Rumors

I thought he was my best friend.
Back in December I knew it had to end.

He told people we kissed and that we were going out.
I just told them I don't know what he's talking about.

Just yesterday I learned he told people we had sex.
I've never had sex with anyone. Not even my ex.

It hurts to know he's said that about me.
It makes me even madder cause friends are what we're supposed to be.

He was the one I trusted out of all the people I know.
The act of rumors spread cause of him makes him so low.

I'll never be his friend again no matter what he does,
Because all he'll do is say he said it just because.

So, our friendship is over, and it was no great loss.
I won't sweat the rumors cause at least I know their false.

Conditioned To Request Permission

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
The pursuing of the blooming...
We expect and accept,
With any happiness we get.

Oh...
Oh oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

And whoa,
A oh oh....
Oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,
Any happiness we get.

No need to treat me with suspicion,
And live with secret inhabitions.
Why should we accept conditions,
That might invite future division.

Whoa,
A oh oh....
Oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

No need to treat me like an alley cat.
Because you are addicted...
To those rumors that will ruin,

And whoa,

Oh,
Why should we be the ones conditioned,
To request permission...
To investigate a picked division.

Handle

Theirs thing’s I can handle
But you not being around is one of them
Day in day out I wish I was with you
We use to see each other every day
Now I’m lucky to see you once a month
If I do see you, it’s a total of maybe 5 minutes
That’s what I get
Do you really care?
You say you want to do things with me.
But why with me?
What makes me so special?
I tried and explain to you that I don’t do that.
Felt like I was talking to a wall.
How come you never want to pay attention?
For the first time in my life I had rumors about me.
It wasn’t even like they where good rumors.
Shit I wouldn’t want nothing spread around.
Especially when their not true.
It’s stuff I don’t even believe in.
But you saw more to it then just some rumor.
Random people would come and question your sexuality.
You didn’t even give a shit.
You didn’t care what people thought of you.
But me.
See I’m different.
I cared so much that it hurt me.
I want to disappear and never come back.
You could give two shits as long as you got your attention.
Every body bow down the princess is here.

Talking Trash on South Beach

"Talking Trash on South Beach"

When I first mentioned
I was getting out of Cleveland
to join another team
with a few players I believed in (I heard a lot rumors)
folks were saying we couldn't win
no one would believe in us
Chicago and Boston was unbeatable
we lack cohesiveness
and it only got worse
as sub-par teams started beating us…..
but we came together as a team
found our stride,
started believing in one another
pushed our egos aside
we stopped listening to rumors
played our own tune
four and a half months later
we were playing in June (for a championship)
we didn't get to win it all
I guess it was way too soon
but one thing is for certain
we proved all those naysayers wrong.

Clipped And Greased

What a surprise!
I am shocked to see you here.
I had heard rumors you were soaring,
High and above the clouds.
Which I thought was...
Highly unlikely.
But...
Rumors are what they are.

'Well...
Someone clipped and greased 'my' wings.'

That's an impossibility.
I thought those wings were yours?
And you grew them independently.

'Since you see me,
I may as well confess.
Those wings were not mine.
And when I took them off to get some rest,
I awakened to find them clipped and greased.'

Oh my.
So what are you going to do now?

'I'll have to find someone else,
To convince I only wish to borrow their wings,
Just to test.'

Don't look at me.
I grew these myself.
It took me years to do it too.
And besides,
I sleep with mine on.
You've 'borrowed' enough from me as it is.
And I've told you this before...
Turkeys are meant to soar!

I Turn Everything Over

Monday found me on my knees
again
Breathing You in
To blur the lines that mark where I
begin
And where You end
No use in trying to pretend
Come take me again
'Cause rumor has it I'm not who
I've been
Come define me
Chorus:
What can we do
If these rumors are true?
I turn everything over
I turn myself in
I turn everything over
I turn myself in
There's nothing left to me to
defend
I turn everything over
I turn myself in, yeah
The evidence convicts the hollow
men
After looking inside
To my dismay I find I'm just one of
them
'Cause I'm already but not yet
resurrected fallen man
Come break this limbo
And I know You know just who
I've been
Come define me
Chorus
Rumor has it you love me
Rumor has it the world spins
upside down
Rumor has it my only hope is in You
And the rumors are true
I turn everything over
Chorus (2x)

Slipping Under The Radar

What he has managed to achieve and accomplish,
To us has made no sense.

'Why doesn't it? '

From what we have heard about him,
And from reliable sources too...
All he has ever done was waste valuable time.
As well as his gifts and talents he has not used.

'Well...
It is obvious to me,
He knew more about himself...
Than the others believed.'

But how could he manage to achieve and accomplish,
With a slipping under the radar to go undetected...
As he has successfully done?
With a collecting of his own set of fools.

'Perhaps he was not concentrating on the rumors.
And feeding them to everyone to entrap for fun.
Knowing that the doing of this...
Would one day have him shining in the Sun.'

He has not played fair,
In the eyes of those who chose to belittle him.
Proclaiming he was delusional.
Amounting to nothing with a going nowhere.

'He did not play fair?
I think he played it just right.
Whose mouths have been silenced?
And whose lips have been closed tight? '

So...
What should 'we' do about the rumors?

'WE?
Don't get 'me' involved in this.
He didn't make me look like a fool.
I verify 'all' of the gossip I hear.'
