Single Is Fair

Single
I am single
Question of double
Does not arise.

I am single
Only single.

Single sun
Single moon
Single earth
Single air
Single sky
Sngle water
Single fire
Single soul
Single body
All are there
All are fair.
Single is single
Single is beautiful
Single is fair.

You don't have to be a ""person of influence"" to be influential. In fact, the most influential people in my life are probably not even aware of the things they've taught me.

A Thousand Years

Words by sting, music by sting and kipper
A thousand years, a thousand more,
A thousand times a million doors to eternity
I may have lived a thousand lives, a thousand times
An endless turning stairway climbs
To a tower of souls
If it takes another thousand years, a thousand wars,
The towers rise to numberless floors in space
I could shed another million tears, a million breaths,
A million names but only one truth to face
A million roads, a million fears
A million suns, ten million years of uncertainty
I could speak a million lies, a million songs,
A million rights, a million wrongs in this balance of time
But if there was a single truth, a single light
A single thought, a singular touch of grace
Then following this single point , this single flame,
The single haunted memory of your face
I still love you
I still want you
A thousand times the mysteries unfold themselves
Like galaxies in my head
I may be numberless, I may be innocent
I may know many things, I may be ignorant
Or I could ride with kings and conquer many lands
Or win this world at cards and let it slip my hands
I could be cannon food, destroyed a thousand times
Reborn as fortunes child to judge anothers crimes
Or wear this pilgrims cloak, or be a common thief
Ive kept this single faith, I have but one belief
I still love you
I still want you
A thousand times the mysteries unfold themselves
Like galaxies in my head
On and on the mysteries unwind themselves
Eternities still unsaid
til you love me

Frustration

Frustration kills me deep within
so I mutter I murmur I question I reason
A thousand words come to my mind
I give I care I need if I dare
Why cant I have things my way
I pray I weep and still try to keep
If only must I be satisfied
I shout and scream from this spot where I still stand alone
I question my self a thousand times
What do you really want?
I have a want... now I want the have...
The touch the hand the real the feel
If I can only have you

Statements

STATEMENTS

Statements wide, too neatly cut and dried,
approach the truth as close as most the moon,
name chalk as cheese, cheese chalk, kite thoughts buffoon
in passing caught, hot air - [t]weak tongues untied.

There is no longer time for statements like ""if only"" or ""we can't."" We must and we will succeed. The only question now is how and when. I believe the time is now.

Some people are always critical of vague statements. I tend rather to be critical of precise statements; they are the only ones which can correctly be labeled 'wrong'.

Straight Road

Here our statements end. We are finished, and holy. The roads are long and tight, straight and right, much to the belief and faith. Here our statements end. We are finished, wholly effective and versatile is the end of forced life. And where are you based?

Single Day

Not a single day goes by..........
Where she is not in his thoughts
Not a single day goes by..........
Where his heart does not feel
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not want to reach out
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he dreams of his love for her
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not dream of kissing her
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not dream of holding her
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not ask. Why?
Not a single day goes by..........
Where she is not his first thought on waking.
Not a single day goes by..........
Where she is not his last thought before sleeping.
Not a single day goes by..........

Kicks in return

Mighty rule here and weakest suffer,
Kicks in return when ordinary gifts offer,
Why no system which acts as buffer,
Is there no right to say right and differ?

This question always made me puzzle.
Rain did not offer peace even when dazzle,
It continued to hunt and troubled always,
I sit motionless and try to find new says,

Why I am not that powerful as sun?
Why I always think of using the gun?
Is there no peaceful alternate?
Where all are equal and no subordinate,

Rulers have gone influential have taken over,
Scene remain same but clouds still hover,
No kicks in return but distrustful eyes,
No gestures but unwelcome scene and byes,

Why still remain history and disparity?
Is there any sense or high morality?
Why do we face question of seniority?
This is question faced by most of majority

World will not change even after destruction,
Face the dishonour even after precise instruction,
Matter remains same even stiffer than question,
Even you forget and bury deep in bastion,

It may still for many more centuries,
Distance may reduce even between countries,
Many changes may come with new entries,
Rules may change but not the sentries

In Honor Of Black History Month

...and, this year we are so excited,
In honor of Black History Month...
To provide a ten thousand dollar scholarship,
To anyone who can answer the following question.
And...
If you all notice,
You have been given the answer as is shown...
Amongst the choices from which to choose.
Either A, B or C.

Good luck!
Here is your question...

How many fingers are on the left hand?
You have five seconds to respond.
Place your one thumb on the buzzer.
And hold with your remaining four fingers,
On your left hand.

YES!
You are the first to respond.
Your answer is...?

'Hold up!
And don't be winking at me.
I ain't into that!
Supposing that left hand was held by someone else...
Guiding with valued assistance to choose the right path? '

That has nothing to do with the question asked.
NOR is that one of the answers already given.
One of them is correct.
The others are not.

'Look...
I need that ten thousand dollars.
And stop winking at me...
Pervert.'

Do you or do you not have the correct answer?

'Do you or do you not get on my last nerve? '

THIS is a contest.

'And THIS is my fist.
Do you mind repeating the question?
And don't look at me as if I'm the one stupid.'

A Corrupt Politician Committed Suicide

When the corrupt politician
was shut behind the bars,
he roared in anger in a language
couched in figures and metaphors:
" From the cremains of my body,
one thousand of me will be erupting
to serve the cause of the people".

When this one robber single-handedly
looted the coffers of the State
and got graft for the jobs given to the poor,
the people reel in poverty
and the youths die untimely.
"How could this nation face
one thousand of his incarnates? "
This question made one of his followers
sleepless, and in a frenzied mood,
he slit his leader's throat
and cried aloud for his suicide,
saving the judges from the strains
of bending the laws to give him bail.

1,000 X

Ive tried to ask the question
Must be a million answers that just arent there
You try to find yourself
Ill try to live my life
I just dont care
Take a look at your life
Tell me can you say youve done no wrong?
Ask yourself the question
Do you realize where you belong?
Ive been down
Ive been out
Ive been there
Ive been down this road a thousand times
Nothing ever looks the same
It seems theres something more I might never see

One Hundred Thousand Marching

One hundred thousand marching
One hundred thousand men
One hundred thousand heading
To a place and a time when
One hundred thousand dying
One hundred thousand cold
One hundred thousand praying
Forever young and never old
One hundred thousand lives were lost
One hundred thousand felt the pain
One hundred thousand maimed and slaughtered
And yet those armies march again.

A Single Black Rose

A single Black Rose to turn the tide
A single Black Rose to make one die
A single Black Rose to ensnare the soul
A single Black Rose to widen that hole

A single Black Rose to melt the heart
A single Black Rose to force a start
A single Black Rose to entwine the bodies
A single Black Rose to dictate the deaths of these

A single Black Rose to lie upon her breast
A single Black Rose to stop the tears from soaking his vest
A single Black Rose to mourn this memory
A single Black Rose to become a plot in this cemetery

A single Black Rose to take a life
A single Black Rose to end his strife.

Stacked On Platters

The relevance of forgiveness,
Has distanced the significance of it...
From making an influential appearance.

Indignities are serve and presented,
As a choice on a menu selected to eat.
To feast upon by many shown licking their fingers.

The relevance of forgiveness,
Has distanced the significance of it...
From making an influential appearance.

And those preparing for the main course are teased,
With the passing aound of hors d'oeuvres...
Heated with biases to please and stacked on platters.

One

One thousand voices
But not one heard
One thousand thoughts
But not one word
One thousand troubles
But no one will know it
Unless I decide to
Finally show it
One thousand cuts
Run down my arm
A tribute to my
Life of self-harm
One thousand scars
That will not heal
One thousand people
Who will not feel
One thousand but no more
I finally decide
There will be one less person
And one more suicide
