When not only gold but all commodities are available for the redemption of the paper currency, its volume is limited only by the value of all the wealth of the country, and it can never become insecure up to this limit.

Bimetalism
Ben Bulger was a silver man,
Though not a mine had he:
He thought it were a noble plan
To make the coinage free.
'There hain't for years been sech a time,'
Said Ben to his bull pup,
'For biz-the country's broke and I'm
The hardest kind of up.
'The paper says that that's because
The silver coins is sea'ce,
And that the chaps which makes the laws
Puts gold ones in their place.
'They says them nations always be
Most prosperatin' where
The wolume of the currency
Ain't so disgustin' rare.'
His dog, which hadn't breakfasted,
Dissented from his view,
And wished that he could swell, instead,
The volume of cold stew.
'Nobody'd put me up,' said Ben,
'With patriot galoots
Which benefits their feller men
By playin' warious roots;
'But havin' all the tools about,
I'm goin' to commence
A-turnin' silver dollars out
Wuth eighty-seven cents.
'The feller takin' 'em can't whine:
(No more, likewise, can I):
They're better than the genooine,
Which mostly satisfy.
'It's only makin' coinage free,
And mebby might augment
The wolume of the currency
A noomerous per cent.'
I don't quite see his error nor
Malevolence prepense,
But fifteen years they gave him for
That technical offense.

When goods are exchanged between countries, they must be paid for by commodities or gold. They cannot be paid for by the notes, certificates, and checks of the purchaser's country, since these are of value only in the country of issue.

Skies The Limit
Written by christine mcvie
If Ive been acting just a little strange
And you have noticed it too
Its cos my life has been rearranged
With the presence of you
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
How can we fail
Can you give me one reason why
Youd ever let me down
I wont believe it baby, but Ill try
The truths goin to come around
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
Sooner or later
Ill keep the promise
I made to you
Sooner or later
It will be greater
Then we ever knew
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
The sky is the limit now
We can hit it on the nail
And when we do
Ill think about you
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit
Oh the sky is the limit
How can we fail
The sky is the limit

The spectacle of a great, solvent government paying a fictitious price for gold it did not want and did not need and doing it on purpose to debase the value of its own paper currency was one to astonish the world.

the moneys funny...by Talile Ali
our monetary system is a fraudulent illegal
ponsy scheme.
the federal reserve creates wealth annually
for the budget of the US.
this currency is then deposited
into banks by the US
with an understanding that they may now
lend up to ten times
of these deposits to prospective lenders.
then people borrow this non existent capital with interest
then people repay these baseless loans,
never knowing that they never borrowed anything in the first place
this is fraud
thanks to Barney Madoff
we now know how much of one
Shame on the US for allowing this to happen.
Shame on us for not doing anything to stop it.
Don't act like you didn't know something was and is still wrong.
everybody knew.
but what can we do?
a lot and yet too few
this world is a mess
because we have allowed babies
to run the entire ship
based on how loudly and eloquently
they wail.
it is time for all of us to take a stand.
as to these fraudulent banking practice.
these sons a itches
need to be taken to court,
brought up on criminal charges
and sued.
we need to restored a real system of human credit
if we are going to create wealth for me and you
the currency
could be based upon our population.
for example, each person is worth the estimated value of their life time
of contributions to our society.
lets say for example 5 million dollars
multiply that by the number of folks in the nation
and you have the amount of wealth
the country can always develop currency upon.
needless to say,
from that point, it is easy.
so, corporations will not be able
to manipulate the masses as well
they have to make due to their fabrication of wealth
on the part of industry
but, the plus so outweigh the minus
next, make it law
that anyone who attempt to defraud
anyone else will be severely fined.
no prison time.
just all of their accumulated wealth
and their families accumulated wealth
will be attached by the state
that's all.
simple laws for a simpler and more just world.

Real Losers
one is the soul of the country one is the wealth
both seem not to know how best to give to the country
one says one is the real son of the country
the other says he is equally a son of the country
for he helps build up the country, feed the nation
and develop it blood and sweat
]
one insists he is the real master
the other says he wishes to have similar status
both go on and on until they forget there is
a country to be fed, to be built, and both
end up in the drain, soul and wealth
so much to fight over in a country
without much of a country to gain in the end
my pity, my pity

Sonnet: Material Things Are Not Permanent
Whatever wealth I’ve accrued in this world,
Whether hard-earned or by the easy route;
Whether in kind or currency wads, curled,
I must leave back to someone else like loot.
However much wealth I have earned on earth,
By sweat of brow or by my playing dice,
It will not help me gain an extra-breath,
Except a coffin made of teak wood nice.
Whatever treasures, I had to my name,
As gems or diamonds, silver or gold-form,
I leave them back intact in life's earth game,
In known or unknown places as per norm.
Then why this haste and frenzy for more wealth,
And that too at the cost of one’s own health?

Current Currency
Dollars, euros, yen:
they’re all just pretty pieces of rags,
cotton, linen, and silk,
a bit of Crane paper, so we’re told.
Those currencies that no longer
predicate their value on precious metals,
gold or silver, for example,
have no more intrinsic worth than
fancy rags made of shirt fabrics.
Paper money is then much like
a wedding song “O, Promise Me”
performed over and over and over
until becoming superfluous.
Then the wedding guests long
for something more enduring
like Bach, Chopin, or Mendelssohn
(gold, silver, or real estate)
with no promises attached.
Then the mints are inked-up
the engraving plates polished to a sparkle,
and the fat lady is ready to sing her swan song,
“All of Me.”
At least if the current currency
breaks its promise and leaves me destitute,
with no purchasing power at all,
I can gather up all those little rectangles
and make a quilt or a pair of trousers,
if I can learn to sew.

Only When It Is Conducive
Am I offended by your limited comprehension?
Sometimes.
When thoughts I could have saved...
Bravely fought through your ignorance.
Am I offended by your pretense?
Only when it is conducive.
And I am aware of the excuses used,
By someone insecure.
And flaunting their own mental abuse.
Do I feel a need to free myself sometimes?
Yes!
Especially when I am smothered...
By others who are vacant.
Or just absent with no minds.
However...
I am never that detached from free amusements.

Judge Me
People judge me for my boricua skin
Over looking the beauty with in.
Oh, it may hurt, it surely can
But the sky is the limit, That I understand.
A female Latina that’s what they see
Failure and disaster thy hope I be
Little do they know, the determination in me
It will mold me, until I succeed.
Does my finesse bother you?
Do my dreams interfere with what you do?
To each it’s own, is what I say defend you?
The sky’s the limit that’s what I say.
Boricua pride is my thrive
You can see it in my beautiful brown eyes.
I know I can and you should too
The limit for me and you.
You may hate me,
But the sky’s the limit
You may judge me,
But the sky’s the limit
You will always have discrimination,
But the sky is MY limit.

Money
Stolen by poverty
Let stolen by 'antipoverty'
Might of the mint is an effigy
Endorsed in life's kinetic journey
Rags to riches coiled in coinage
Birth to death in currency-appendage
Food, clothe, shelter hike
Varied labour-men when strike
Target is money-market
Goal is money-profit
Craze is gold locket
Racing in final syndromic silt
To be is to be knowledgeable
Enough is enough satiable
Fear is to fear avarice
Beware is beware of vice, malice
And
Don't we just opine of money a demon
Don't just opine of money either a daemon
Born in this country
We to deify money, Goddess Lakshmi
Bestower of wealth and morality
