As long as habit and routine dictate the pattern of living, new dimensions of the soul will not emerge.

You look at where you're going and where you are and it never makes sense, but then you look back at where you've been and a pattern seems to emerge. And if you project forward from that pattern, then sometimes you can come up with something.

Twice Becomes a Habit
Doing what we please.
With the selling of our embellishments.
Has come under much scrutiny.
And a call to be precise...
Does not sit too comfortably,
With those irresponsible.
And others n'er do well.
Seeking a laziness to entice.
To abuse this twice becomes a habit.
To keep it fed becomes routine.
Some may see this as discrimination.
Not a justification...
To do away with incompetence.
And those who half accomplish...
What their intentions find difficult to finish.
These days a mediocrity,
Is being ushered from the spotlight.
Success comes with applied effort.
Not from those accepted as nice.
But aren't up to the challenge...
To get things done,
With sacrifice.
To abuse this twice becomes a habit.
To keep it fed becomes routine.
Gone are those days of going through the motions.
And adopting the notion,
Procrastination fascinates those with patience waiting.
Time is not a blind date...
Hoping to approve who shows and comes,
Out of breath with expressed excuses.
And annoying the diligent ones.
That tick-tocking on those clocks have stopped!
To abuse this twice becomes a habit.
To keep it fed becomes routine.
And refusing people like this,
From addressed strict agendas...
Keeps a purpose with direction flourished.
As long as it is understood...
They will always be kept in minds respected.
But their absence is welcomed,
When they are far away from strategic scenes.
Not to demean.
But to accomplish.
'No offense.
But we are here to get things done.
You understand that,
Don't you? '

Changing Dimensions Seen
Changing dimensions seen.
No retracting to step back.
Changing dimensions seen.
The past is gone and that's a fact.
Changing dimensions seen.
Changing dimensions seen.
A consciousness has been uplifted.
Changing dimensions seen.
And gone are all those flaws abhorred.
Changing dimensions seen.
Those bigoted with prejudice...
Find they've been dismissed.
And...
Changing dimensions seen.
Changing dimensions seen.
People sharing with a caring.
Changing dimensions seen.
And racists are considered sick.
Changing dimensions seen.
Changing dimensions seen.
A consciousness has been uplifted.
Changing dimensions seen.
And gone are all those flaws abhorred.
Changing dimensions seen.
Those bigoted with prejudice...
Find they've been dismissed and quick!
Changing dimensions seen.
Changing dimensions seen.
And...
No retracting to step back.
Changing dimensions seen.
The past is gone and that's a fact.
Changing dimensions seen.
That peace resisted over-rules,
And those who cling to hate are fools.
Changing dimensions seen.
And...
Changing dimensions seen.
And...
Changing dimensions seen.

When there is freedom from mechanical conditioning, there is simplicity. The classical man is just a bundle of routine, ideas and tradition. If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, the shadow — you are not understanding yourself.

Habit
this is by force of habit
that my fingers
caress the keys
to make
another poem
for the day,
nothing is really
significant,
nothing to give
us power,
it is like
brushing my teeth,
washing my hands,
gargling vinegar with salt,
defecating,
putting my brief
and shorts,
straightening my collar,
inserting my shirt
locking my belt,
combing my hair,
going to the office,
you try going further
than all these,
sorry, there is nothing here
but just routine,
plain typing, and reporting,
stating
and even
by force of habit
without thinking
i said, keep doing
what you do with your life,
do not follow me,
there is nothing
important about this,
this is routine,
the usual path,
where everyone passes
and goes and enters
and exits and
exits and enters
all over again
until death surprises
you no more,
comes like
plain closing and opening
of the office door.

Habit
See it happen to a couple of friends
See it happen and the message it sends
Take it up for what's an obvious fault
Just to see what all the fuss is about
And it's not your way... not your way
And it's not your way... not your way
Another habit says it's in love with you
Another habit says its long overdue
Another habit like an unwanted friend
I'm so happy with my righteous self
And it's not your way... not your way
And it's not your way... not your way
Never thought you'd... habit (3x)
I never thought you

Need To Confess
Sometimes we need to confess something,
not a crime, but a habit
and we are not sure the best way to do it.
Our confession is not a sin
though there are those
who believe it may be so.
Mine is a habit
I acquired a long, long time ago.
I have tried many times to break it
and each time I have been unsuccessful.
That doesn’t mean I am giving up
without ever trying again.
It is a problem that lots of us must live with
and a habit that is not so easy to break.

The Living People
Wake up in the morning
Working all long day
Exhausted in the night
Going on routine everyday
Hey, that’s not the point of living
Try to earn money every month
Please everybody with fake smile
Fighting like hungry animal
Fix the problem that keeps coming
It’s just the way to survive the living
Dream out even the impossible
Do what you really desire
Learning things old and new
Make yourself happy and alive
Now here find the reason of your living

A Habit I Can't Break
(B. Owens)
Loving you isn't good for me
You keep my tears flowing
If I left you I couldn't stay gone
So there's no use in going
Loving you is a habit I can't break
I haven't found a way yet
But I've been trying
To stop loving you but I can't wait
There's no use in lyin'
Loving you is a habit I can't break
Loving you is a habit I can't break
I've been loving you much too long now
To change the way I feel
So I might as well get used to these heartaches
Loving you is a habit I can't break

Intricate Stitching
No one can enforce another,
To see what their mind continually skips.
Whether done purposely or by habit,
No one should feel obligated to do this.
A game played is more popular to attend,
Than one seen absorbed in following the rules.
Or if improvement is needed,
To rid from the use of foolish loopholes.
As long as a perception is fed,
Few are concerned with the details of the pattern.
Or the intricate stitching that keeps it all together,
Fitting to enable the design of it to exist.

The older I get, the more I realize the importance of exercising the various dimensions of my body, soul, mind and heart. Taken together, these aspects give me a sense of wholeness. I want to be a whole human being rather than one who limps on one leg because I don't know how to use all of my parts. Intellectual, emotional, and physical activity are not separate entities. Rather, they are dimensions of the same human being.

Her Only Bad Habit Is Me
We walk hand in hand
through our world today.
We will walk that way forever,
if bad habits don’t get in the way.
Now she has only one bad habit,
and that habit is me.
If I do something wrong,
she does not see my failing there.
She would rather go on loving,
the man she chose to care.
Now my bad habit shine like a beckon,
but she does not really care.
So though we wander with love,
through to the sunset somewhere.
I think of how lucky I am,
with everything I see.
So glad she has only one bad habit,
and that habit is me.

Dimensions Blending
Dimensions blending.
With a mind bending intending,
New beginnings.
Dimensions blending.
With a mind bending intending,
New beginnings.
And witnessed are dimensions blending in!
Dimensions blending.
With an ending of those limits,
Once defended.
Now seen suspended.
Limits departing.
Limits departing...
As dimensions once unmentioned,
Drop those chins!
And witnessed are dimensions blending in!
Limits departing.
Limits departing...
As dimensions once unmentioned,
Drop those chins!
Dimensions blending.
With a mind bending intending,
New beginnings.
And witnessed are dimensions blending in!
Limits departing.
And,
Witnessed are dimensions blending in!
Limits departing.
And,
Witnessed are dimensions blending in!
Dimensions blending.
And,
Witnessed are dimensions blending in!
Dimensions blending!
