Some think the worst horrors of war might be avoided by an international agreement not to use atomic bombs. This is a vain hope.

There Must Be Another Way!

The dream began... I stood alone
Inside a hotel room...
Outside the window, bombs were blown,
Atomic, I presume.
Too late to change, too late to stop,
The distant death drew near.
More bombs above and then to drop,
No place to hide my fear.
I looked away, no time to run,
No chance that I'd survive.
So I stood still, for death had won -
No soul would stay alive.
The second dream... another place...
At home, with family.
The midnight hour and more disgrace...
More bombs that night to see.
Both dreams foretold our worst nightmares.
Defenceless day and night!
To live on Earth where no-one cares,
Yet each side thinks it's right!
Some say that World War's on the brink!
Destruction's aftermath!
How low can Mankind truly sink?
Behold our epitaph!
Unless God opens up our eyes,
Hell-bent we'll surely be!
While God alone is truly wise,
Our folly's plain to see!
Atomic bombs! We must be mad!
It's genocide not war!
We don't need school to show we're bad!
We're rotten to the core!
That's why we must be born again...
Repent, believe and pray!
Before Christ comes, we know not when,
THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY!

Nuclear Buffets

Hydrogen weapons and wars!
But humanity is the key to life;
And forever never ends from today.

Before and after the atomic bomb,
We are now deeper into the dark than before;
And with atomic coctails and nuclear buffets!

Oh this energy hungry world! !
You are like the bride-price of the virgins;
And like the atom being split in 1938.

Compassion, kindness, patience, longsuffering and mercy;
You are the first one to do it but,
The parable of the talents took away the righteous fruits of your love.

Of a rock cut out without hands and of your atomic coctails,
And from within and without with your nuclear buffets;
But this is like the last ruling power on earth at this time around.

A family starts with a marriage so you must not beak up your vows,
But life is like informing the people with your calling;
But this project also came out of Manhattan.

To remember the 6th of August 1945 and to see the acts of bombs!
But the dishonest people around us are the Babylonians;
For lamentation and bitter weeping are now on our faces.

Atomic bombs and nuclear buffets,
When will this Babylonian system stop?
For the wars had never put us into better shapes.

Suppose Germany had developed two bombs before we had any bombs. And suppose Germany had dropped one bomb, say, on Rochester and the other on Buffalo, and then having run out of bombs she would have lost the war. Can anyone doubt that we would then have defined the dropping of atomic bombs on cities as a war crime, and that we would have sentenced the Germans who were guilty of this crime to death at Nuremberg and hanged them? But, again, don't misunderstand me. The only conclusion we can draw is that governments acting in a crisis are guided by questions of expediency, and moral considerations are given very little weight, and that America is no different from any other nation in this respect.

The United States strongly seeks a lasting agreement for the discontinuance of nuclear weapons tests. We believe that this would be an important step toward reduction of international tensions and would open the way to further agreement on substantial measures of disarmament.

Who Is With The Bomb?

Where is it?
It is over here! !
Where is it?
It is over there! !
It has occured again and,
Who is with the bomb?
It is over here an there and,
Who is playing with the bomb?
It has destroyed many and,
It is still destroying us daily;
But, who is with the bomb?
Right from creation till now,
We have been destroying ourselves!
With bombs here and there;
But, when are we going to learn?
We do advance on in life but,
We still have the bombs in our hands;
Who really is with the bomb today? !
Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb! ! !
With the atomic bombs alike to kill us all;
Now, the nuclear race is at hand.
Who is with the bomb?
With arsenals and nuclear war heads;
After two thousand years of history,
We still cannot learn from our mistakes.
Here and there with the manufacturing plants,
We still go to conferences thinking of stopping it;
But, should we have no fear of the Atomic Energy? !
A nuclear rat-race,
The arm-race of weapons!
Two thousand years of history could not be wiped away.

My Map

My map is read by the whole community,
To see where folly can be avoided.
My real lunch escapes the imagination,
Commoners and royalty will wield illness.
The map of folly is invented by the people,
International help is not to be avoided.
The forces outside guess where we are,
Their enforcing rules are against me.
My map is read, read by many, as we are
Always readers, so wiser than the few.

I am very much against weapons in space. And I wish we could be spearheading that program to come to some kind of international agreement so that doesn't happen. That is my only - fear - in further space exploration like always, we hope it doesn't get abused.

Bloody Eyes (Sonnet)

Deep in the darkness horrors lurk
Horrors of a homophobic racist jerk
Horrors of a life destroyed by family
Horrors of person who wanders idly
In the darkness there is no hope
For he has wrapped his neck with that rope
He is prejudice and mean to others
But to me he is like my only brother

I love that jerk to pieces, he can be so kind
I love his bravery, his intuitive mind
But in his darkness I see such pain
He thinks in life there is nothing to gain
My wonderfully horrible cousin doesn’t cry
Instead I see a trickle of blood in his eye

The news today about "Atomic bombs" is so horrifying one is stunned. The utter folly of these lunatic physicists to consent to do such work for war-purposes: calmly plotting the destruction of the world! Such explosives in men's hands, while their moral and intellectual status is declining, is about as useful as giving out firearms to all inmates of a gaol and then saying that you hope "this will ensure peace". ... Well we're in God's hands. But He does not look kindly on Babel-builders.

So-called humanitarian corridors or other measures aimed at providing respite to those affected by conflict must be well planned and implemented with the agreement of the parties to the conflict. Regardless of whether humanitarian corridors are implemented in the coming days, parties must continue to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure under international humanitarian law both for those who choose to leave and those who remain.

Nobody even dared him

Nobody even dared him
but Harry S Truman gave the command
to dropp two atomic bombs
in quick succession

while relaxing in his lounge chair
and the Enola Gay flew away
while Harry played with his grandchildren
to far off Hiroshima
and another bomber went to Nagasaki

and the people of those cities
were no longer there
had been obliterated in two blasts
with the intensity of exploding suns

with mushroom clouds rising in the air
right into the upper atmosphere
and two hundred and forty thousand
men, women and children
had been evaporated, shot to bits,
fried and incinerated

and those that remained were contaminated
with gamma radiation and suffered terribly
from the effects of it
and poor Harry did not know
how to use a rifle nor a gun
to win a decent war

and thought that dropping atomic bombs
would be great fun, displaying American power
to the world, with weapons
incinerating like the sun
and would greatly retaliate the losses
at Pearl Harbour
and by ordering it became a mass murderer.
