I take photographs with love, so I try to make them art objects. But I make them for myself first and foremost - that is important.

I make photographs and still make photographs of the natural environment. It's a love because that was part of my life before I was involved in photography.

Gas Hed Goes West
If I was half alive
Then you were dead
Subsistin' on that same old bread
It's the memory that hides
The whole wide world
It's the gas hed's love of america
It's the memory that hides
Take your photographs back
For the love of all gods
Our gas hed marches on
Our gas hed marches on
He's a bonified man
A star amongst his clan
And the only one that let me ride
It's the memory that dies
Our gas hed was right
When they lanced his skull
There was puss and light
It's the memory that dies
So take your photographs back
For the love of all gods
Our gas hed marches on
Our gas hed marches
It's the memory that dies
And make your photographs black
For the love of all gods
Our gas hed marches on
Our gas hed marches on
It's the memory that dies
So take your photographs back
For the love of all gods
Our gas hed marches on
Our gas hed marches

What A Day Yesterday Was
Looking through these old photographs
Dont they bring some good memories back
Some of them make us laugh
And some make us cry
Im glad weve kept all of these souvenirs
To prove that our love was here
Look at how happy we were
Pictures dont lie
(chorus)
If forever should end today
And theres no tomorrow for us
What a day yesterday was
Heres one of us with you calm and cool
But look at me acting a fool
And heres one of us on the ferris wheel
At the fair
Hey, havent we had some fun
The best may be yet to come
We may have a hundred years
Still left to share
But...
(chorus)
Lets close this book of photographs
And lets turn out the lights
And love for the moment
As if it were the last

If It's Love!
It's important that unshown love,
Comes directly shown from you.
To say it...
Doesn't make,
That-love-be-true!
It's important that unshown love,
Is a thing one wants to do...
Just to prove what is said,
Is absolutely true.
A hug,
And maybe a kiss.
A touch,
That has been missed.
A show of thoughtfulness...
Can go a very long distance.
A call,
Every once in a while...
Will go further than a mile.
If love is there to be shared...
Show someone they are cared for!
And doubts will come no more.
It's important that unshown love,
Comes directly shown from you.
To say it...
Doesn't make,
That-love-be-true!
It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love.
Yes!
It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love.
Yes!
It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love!
It shoos a boo-hooin'...
Known.
It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown.
It's important it's directly shown,
If it's love!
A hug,
And maybe a kiss.
A touch,
That has been missed.
A show of thoughtfulness...
Can go a very long distance.
It's important it's directly shown.

Get down make love
Get down make love
Get down make love
Get down make love
You take my body
I give you heat
You say youre hungry

Make love
Inside your bed - everybody

Get down make love
Evrytime I get hot
You wanna cool down
Evrytime I get high
You say you wanna come down
You say its enough
In fact its too much
Evrytime I get a
Get down get down get down
Make love
(get down) I can squeeze - (make love) you can shake me
(get down) I can feel - (make love) you can break me
(get down) come on so heavy (make love)
(get down) when you take me (make love)
You make love you make love you make love you make
Love
You can make evrybody get down make love
Get down make love
Evrytime I get high
You wanna come down

Burning Photographs
I finally see the light
Down on the east side
Wasted like a memory
If I had a car I'd drive
Straight off the bridge into the river, it would empty me
Pretty pictures in a magazine
Everybody is so make believe, it's true
I used to be sad
Now I'm just bored with you
You're doomed to repeat the past
'Cause nothing is gonna last
I burned all of your photographs
Traffic sings the songs
Inviting me in to dodge the bullets from an empty gun
If I had a car I'd drive straight into the window of a bank I owed money to
Pretty pictures in a magazine
Everybody is so make believe, it's true
I used to be sad
Now I'm just bored with you
You're doomed to repeat the past
'Cause nothing is gonna last
I burned all of your photographs
And all the time you're so unhappy
And everything to you's so heavy
But oh my word, ain't you pretty now
There's nothing to make up now
No one to wake up now
She's starting to break up
WOW
Pretty pictures in a magazine
Everybody is so make believe, it's true
I used to be sad
Now I'm just bored with you
You're doomed to repeat the past
'Cause nothing is gonna last
I burned all of your photographs

Little L
There you were freaking out,
Trying to get your head around the fact that me and you and love is dead
See how Im trippin out
cos you cant decide what you really want from me
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
There you were shouting out
Cranking up your altercations, getting upset in your desperation
Screaming and hollering
How could this love become so paper thin?
Youre playing so hard to get
Youre making me sweat just to hold your attention
I cant give you nothing more
If you aint givin nothing to me
Dont you know that
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
Seems like youre stepping on the pieces
Of my broken shell
cos you make me love you, love you
With a little l, you know
Thats the way you make me love you, yeah
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l
Why does it have to be like this?
I can never tell
You make me love you, love you baby
With a little l

What Do Men and Women Want?
She said:
'I want you to tell me that you can't live without me
that you love me;
that my body excites you
that you'll never forget our anniversary
and my birthday
that you appreciate how I gave up my body
to have your kids
that you want to re-affirm out wedding vows.'
He said:
I want you to tell me that I can make you open to me
and excite you sexually
that I am the only one for you
that I make you feel secure
that I am your hero
and the only one you need.
She said
'I want you to cuddle me before and after sex
give me massages
kiss me
give me flowers for no reason
sent to work;
that you love the kids
want to take out the garbage
and help in the kitchen.'
He said:
'I want to feel that I am the most important thing in your life
and that you want to make love every night
than you will do whatever in bed I want you to
and you'll learn to like it
whether you are tired or not.
That I am more important than you mother or your friends'
She said
'You have been watching too much tv.'
He said
'So have you'
And they both rolled over
watched TV.

You Cant Make Love
You can make money, you can make good
Friends
You can make mistakes and you can make
Amends
You can make it easy when push comes to
Shove, but-
You cant make love
You can make advances, you can make
Big plans
Plant sloppy kisses all over her hands
You can tell her everything youre dreamin
Of, but-
You cant make love
Loves a little word that been kicked around
Used too much, beaten down
What in the world are you thinkin of?
You cant make love
You can go through the motions with your
Magic spells
Buy all the potions that fifth avenue sells
You can try to call down all the stars above,
But-
You cant make love
You can buy her diamonds, you can go out in style
You can make a promise, you can walk
Down the aisle
You can make a life for her that fits like
A glove, but-
You can t make love
Oh, it takes so long
You gotta be strong
Before its gone
What in the world where you thinkin of,
Boy-
You cant make love

A product of brain chemistry
You are my sweetest fantasy
You are an imagination
A product of brain chemistry!
I long for our togetherness
Because I think God has made you
Though I don't know your full address!
Everyday both in hot and cold
You are the one I want foremost
You can make difference like gold!
Will you please recognize me now
By the words of this true love song?
I can't make you - I lack know-how!

Cry Again
its difficult to love you
when you do the things you do
time and time again
and when i try to play it wrong
you turn from smooth
you play it rough once again
you make me cry
you make me cry again
you make me cry
you make me cry again
you make me cry
you make me cry
saturday, same old story
Sunday mornings wounded glory repeats again
and every day a dream is born
is counted by a love thats torn, deep again
you make me cry
you make me cry again
and the tears roll by
you make me cry again
you make me cry
and you make me cry
you make me cry
you make me cry again
tide? that turns me into this ocean
subsides again
so high and so dry
with this bitter emotion lies again
you make me cry
you make me cry
and you make me cry
stop making me cry
stop making me cry
and you make me cry
you make me cry

Fake Holiday
Cards
candies
stuffed animals
flowers
All of these are objects
objects that are bought
objects that are given
objects masking falsehood
Valentine's Day
it is suppose to be a holiday about love
about expressing that love
with things
Where is its background
what god/goddess inspired it
what event in history made this day
why do we celebrate Valentine's Day
Some say it is to celebrate love
I say that you should do that every day
love is a blessing
not an icon that gets only one day of worship
Valentine's Day
is about putting money in a salesmen's pocket
is about the false worship of love
is a holiday without foundation
Love should not be worshipped one day out of the year
love should be treasured everyday
you shouldn't need a holiday
to tell the one you love...
'I love you.'

Mendocino County Line (feat. Willie Nelson)
(Willie Nelson and Lee Ann Womack)
Counted the stars on the 4th of July
Wishing they were rockets bursting into the sky
Talking about redemption and leaving things behind
As the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
As fierce as Monday morning feeling washed away
Our orchestrated paradise couldn't make you stay
You dance with the horses through the sands of time
As the sun sinks west of the Mendocino County Line
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remind me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
I used to make you happy once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
The two of us together felt nothin' but right
Feeling you near immortal every Friday night
Lost in our convictions left stained with wine
As the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remain me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
I used to make you happy once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
I don't talk to you too much these days
I just thank the lord pictures don't fade
I spent time with an angel just passing through
Now all that's left is this image of you
Counted the stars on the 4th of July
Wishing we were rockets bursting in the sky
Talking about redemption and leaving things behind
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remind me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
We used to be so happy once upon a time
Once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line-acap

Wishing That It Had Never Happened
The fine young make-believes have already started
Shooting in:
From the gated communities of Parkland they’ve
Drifted,
And young Italian girls take photographs of each other,
And I take photographs of them:
They are venal and cottage cheese-
They will go to college, or they’ll do as they please:
Like you, they might make love to me,
If they have to, but they will never fantasies over
These estuaries as I have had to:
How I’ve tried to compare you to the muses of
Baudelaire, the two strangers made sisters by his
Pervasive charges,
The sick muse and the venal muse: I didn’t remember
That before you used to play soccer together,
But who as really in charge;
And if you’d won the season for our white tributary,
What then would have stopped your taught calved
Sorority from kissing under the bleachers,
And then to pass out like carnal wildflowers;
If it’s not what happened, it is at least what used to happen
When my mind awakened from happenstance
And began to matriculate toward the better causes of
Missing graduation- wishing that it had never happened.

I Hate You Then I Love You
Id like to run away from you
But if I were to leave you I would die
Id like to break the chains you put
Around me
And yet Ill never try
No matter what you do you drive me
Crazy
Id rather be alone
But then I know my life would be so
Empty
As soon as you were gone
Impossible to live with you
But I could never live without you
For whatever you do / for whatever you
Do
I never, never, never
Want to be in love with anyone but you
You make me sad
You make me strong
You make me mad
You make me long for you / you make
Me long for you
You make me live
You make me die
You make me laugh
You make me cry for you / you make me
Cry for you
I hate you
Then I love you
Then I love you
Then I hate you
Then I love you more
For whatever you do
I never, never, never
Want to be in love with anyone but you
You treat me wrong
You treat me right
You let me be
You make me fight with you / I could
Never live without you
You make me high
You bring me down
You set me free
You hold me bound to you
I hate you
Then I love you
Then I love you
Then I hate you
Then I love you more / I love you more
For whatever you do / for whatever you
Do
I never, never, never
Want to be in love with anyone but you
I never, never, never
I never, never, never
I never, never, never
Want to be in love with anyone but you
But you

Communication's never been
as easy as today
and it would make me happy
when you've gone so far away
if you'd send me an e-mail
that says 'I love you'
Send me an e-mail
that says 'I love you'
Now time and distance
melt away
No digital delay
And some things
can be written down
that we're too shy to say
Send me an e-mail
that says 'I love you'
Send me an e-mail
that says 'I love you'
There may be other
temptations in your life
Don't want to add more
complications to your life
but I'm sending this e-mail
to say 'I love you'
Now there's a ghost
within this house
You're haunting me tonight
I'm looking at some photographs
and thinking that I might
jump on a plane
and surprise you where
you are
but do you want me there?
I'm so insecure
but one thing would make me sure
if you'd
send me an e-mail
that says 'I love you'
Send me an e-mail
that says 'I love You'

In The Afternoon
The light is fading in the afternoon
Wont you see me baby in my room
Theres something that I wanna say to you
Tell me baby am I getting through
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
In the afternoon, in the afternoon
The light is fading from across the way
I see you coming baby every day
I see you running, running from across the field
And I wanna know if you can feel the same as me
Cause I wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
In the afternoon, in the afternoon
The wind is howling baby outside the shack
Train whistle blowin from across the track
Get on my wavelength, and you set me free
I just wanna be everything you want me to be
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
In the afternoon, in the afternoon
The moon is sinking way across the trees
I can see my baby but she cant see me
Ive got a longing deep within my soul
I have to take it there and let it roll
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
Wanna make, wanna make, wanna make, wanna make
Love to you
In the afternoon, make love in the afternoon
Make love in the afternoon
Let it roll
You got me reelin and a-rockinand rollin again
Let it roll
You got me reelin and a-rockinand rollin and rollin again
Oh, Im rollin and tumblin, and Im rollin and tumblin
And Im talkin all outta my mind baby
Let it roll
You got me reelin and a-rockin
And Im talkin all outta my mind
Im talkin all outta my mind
Make love in the afternoon
Make love in the afternoon
Make love in the afternoon
